Thanks man! I still watch your old mixing and mastering video, I learnt so much from it and revisit it from time to time. This series gonna help me a lot, I'm just doing this for fun but often times I get angry because I just don't understand how to get where I want to.

Thanks! About a year ago I asked you about mapping, there you go. Right about time cuz I just went back to writing a few tracks. Really helpful

Thank you so much for this. I love this raw unedited format where you take us through every process. This is just what I need right now.
Do you jam/compose using the mixing view? If so, are there any good habits for setting up a session for doing that? I feel like my process is messy af because I use Ableton to record my jams and then later turn it into an arrangement, but my starting point is so messy because of that, which bleeds into the rest of the process.
    Looking forward to pt. 2!

Thank you. I’ll be honest, I don’t record in mix view that much, but I may want to explore that in the future. I know DJs and loop artists love it because the layout gives you a clean approach to looping and what not.

How did resolve the issue of the outputs? Within Ableton, when i click audio from, Kontakt 7 and then try to select the appropriate titled label *kick/snare/toms, ect.* it'll just show as unnamed outputs. Aux 1-4 and KT unassigned 1-11. In older verions of Kontakt it would reflect the appropriate label I gave the output in Kontakt, such as kick, snare, ect.
    Any help?

Hmm that’s interesting. Try saving everything then closing the session then reopening. Then maybe Ableton will refresh and now the inputs will show from Kontakt.

@BabaGhanoushMusic Yeah tried that too. Tried closing and reopening Kontankt as well. I think the issue has to stem from Kontakt because when using Superior Drummer, all of the outputs are appropriately matched.

@@bradylasserre9320 which version of Kontakt are you on? This happened to me too. If you’re on 7, try using 6 and see if that works. That worked for me. Then I upgraded from Ableton 10 to 11 and now Kontakt 7 works.
