Are there any techniques I missed?
@brentwatters I consider myself pretty darn tech savvy, but I've been struggling with the connect to Abelton when adding VSTs and other audio effects. After quite a few vids, you're the one who increased my understanding so that I could solve my issue. Thank you. Really well presented. I think my only tiny suggestion is to use an interface that is more common for newbies - A Scarlett or an M-Audio Air - but really, that's fairly trivial. Nicely done Brent.
Wow thank you for the kind words! Hit me up on Instagram if you run into any VST questions you need help with 🤘
I'm new to Ableton and its overwhelming at the moment, but your video has already helped me! Thank you!!
That is so great to hear! Let me know if you run into any issues!
Thanks for the help Brent.
you help me in a 100% thanks a lot bro, nice studio btw
Thanks Dr. D! Glad I could help! Let me know if you run into any questions in your Ableton Journey!
Just got ableton and appreciate your video. I look forward to getting into more. Cheers
This tutorial was amazing thank you
Thank you! I’m so glad you liked it!
Thank you
this was great. Thanks for this!
Thanks for watching Rich!
can someone help - I'm using windows PC, and I have nothing to choose from in output settings. I can see the program shows that I play instrument and I can record it, but I have no sounds at all.
Hello! What driver type do you have selected?
@@brentwatters it was ASIO , now for some reason it allows me to use MME/ DirectX and for short time i had sound. Now the program wont let me load output speakers and allows me to use ONLY some audio wave what is just useles lag sound. I don;t know whats hapenning with my scarlet or ableton
Hmm it should definitely be ASIO. Do you have the correct outputs selected? Once you have scarlet for both input and output device go to output config and make sure you have the right output selected. I believe it should be outputs 1/2 for the scarlet
@@brentwatters both input and output is on 1&2, and no sound is coming out, can set on 1/2 and nothing changes, if I use direct X driver then i have sound but it delays a lot
Hmmm have you downloaded the focusrite control application to ensure you have the correct drivers?
I had to stop watching as that piano loop did my head in
Totally get it! Thanks for trying
Ditto. That and the incessant rabbit-holing.
29 minutes for something that requires like 5 minutes of explanation. I just want to know the quickest, fastest way to "Plug in - Hit Record - Play back". All this extra is GREAT information but I keep skipping through trying to just find what I need.
You have to shut off that annoying background music
You are right. This was my first time doing this sort of instructional video. Next time will be better!
Well I will definitely be happy to hear more sir without background music I did find your tutoring interesting
That is great! Thank you for the kind words.
