@brentwatters I consider myself pretty darn tech savvy, but I've been struggling with the connect to Abelton when adding VSTs and other audio effects. After quite a few vids, you're the one who increased my understanding so that I could solve my issue. Thank you. Really well presented. I think my only tiny suggestion is to use an interface that is more common for newbies - A Scarlett or an M-Audio Air - but really, that's fairly trivial. Nicely done Brent.

I feel the same way about my MPC One. I'ts quite a powerful platform and the device is deceptively easy to use. There is so much more inside. I also tried out the HAKAI firmware build which adds Force features to the MPC. Even better!

Hi. Are you saying Splice will sync directly to your MPC or just to the SD card when it's in your computer? That would be amazing if it syncs through the WIFI on the MPC.

My misses travelled from Brum to London on train to pick one of these up for me. Cost me 1.5k. A couple of months later they released the ipad app and the Lemur was dead. Still got mine, but I can't find the software. I'm also a hardware hacker, and I wanted to to reverse engineer the ROM and write a new app.

A Tip After you Covert it in KitMaker, Drop it in Akai expansion builder’ you can put the icon and it shows up under expansions and choke group works!! it’s literally just like NI made a kit for the Mpc I see a lot of videos people just use KitMaker but if you use it with expansion builder takes an extra three minutes you get a complete XPN File with jpeg photo of the expansion pack that you can browse under expansions and standalone mode.

...splice requires a subscription w/ a monthly fee to download samples ...min is $15/mo ...that's an additional $200 per year ...

Bought the new MPC key 61, Splice files not working, .flac files issue perhaps, very disappointing.
