Wayne, as a 60 year-old survivor of childhood trauma, with zero self esteem, I’ve never felt comfortable wearing makeup, hence constantly avoid a camera. How I wish you were a friend with whom I could chat about make-up. I’d love, just once, to look nice for a camera. You really make me realize what I’ve been missing out on. Love your videos. I have been revisiting old films and ohhh the ladies look amazing. Sophia Loren, Ingrid Bergman and Katherine Hepburn among others... I thought of you, Wayne!
I know! Why were those women so incredible! One thing is, their eye makeup wasn’t so over done.
Not to say I disagree with how beautiful the ladies mentioned are.... but, you have to consider a few things. One, Sophia Loren always had "glamorous" makeup, and the other two actresses were stars during the black and white era. During that period in Hollywood, makeup was excessive! Lighting and shadow altered the final product, much like filters today to make them look "natural." Popsugar has an article about how much makeup B&W actresses had to wear, and there's videos on RUclips about the topic too. Not to mention the fact that the film/video quality wasn't HD. I think when reviewing how women looked back then, we have to consider the tricks and filters they used too. The trick is the same, the technology (techniques & products) have changed.

@@kouaxiong7070 spot on. A photographer told me that while black and white pics can hide a lot of flaws, you have to be very strategic when applying makeup to create depth and shadows where they should be on your face.

This is such a wonderful tutorial Wayne. I followed it and swear I looked 10 years younger… and at 64 that says a lot. I wish I could send a photo so you could see, it really brought up my self esteem. ..it’s such a soft , natural look and really minimizes wrinkles. I didn’t even use all the same products, but it worked.I will look into the line you recommended. Just brilliant!!

I’m quite a fan of this brand too! And normally i don’t buy really anything drugstore but I love that this brand is such great quality and affordable. Especially on sale!!!

I’ve seen this brand in Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada and never bought any. They have a nice range of more neutral colors but price wise they are in between drugstore and high end here.
I love mineral foundation and this has been on my ‘want to try’ list for a while, so it’s great to have a discount code!
This is soooo helpful. To me one of the most helpful video's on make up, i ever watched. I love make up, but only want to use it in a minimal way to perfect and still look natural 90% of the time. Now in have a better understanding on how to achieve that. Thanks Wayne!!!

Nude by Nature has been a game changer for me! I am 47 with large open pores, oily skin, red areas and acne scarring .. I have used Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation for twenty odd years but was getting a bit fed up of it .. after seeing one of your tutorials a few months back using Nude By Nature I purchased the starter kit and have to say it’s so fab I have purchased all the full size products and the brushes .. I would never have believed I could have got such an amazing coverage with a mineral foundation with my crappy skin! Can’t recommend it enough!
Does it settle in fine lines? I have some minor wrinkles (when I smile) under my eyes & don’t want dry looking skin. Thanks for your response in advance should you decide to answer.

@@rosaazevedo8566 I have hay fever and some has rubbed off around my nose but can be easily re applied .. I find the translucent powder very good applied over the top .. saying that I have very oily skin

Wayne I love how you encourage and teach women (and men and non binary peeps of course ) to look pretty and radiant, - old school beauty I guess, not “snatched”. I feel that looking too sculpted can be very harsh looking.
For example I love how you encourage “touched by the sun” as opposed to Uber-bronzed.
The simple, delicate touches you demonstrate are sublime.

OK u finally convinced me , I just ordered the Trial set , I used Bare Minerals yrs & yrs ago but then stopped as I got older & my oily skin became dry, so this should be fun to try 💁🏻♀️
I only ever wear powder foundation & love my mineral ones. I'd never tried Nude by Nature, but bought it after your last video on it & love it. I bought the loose & the pressed - my husband hosts lots of UK 80s festivals, so we travel a lot (though not at the mo obviously), & I like a pressed one for travelling. Think it's in Boots too btw. I've never applied it with the bronzer & blush underneath - will have to try that one, you makeup god! Emma x

I use the “Nude by Nature” loose foundation, and it is the best foundation I’ve ever used-and I’m 61 years old, so I’ve used many foundation products over 40 years. There is nothing else like it-it literally melds with your skin.
In Canada 🇨🇦, it’s available at Shoppers Drug Mart. Shoppers carries their entire line-or, at least, most of it. I’m allergic to lanolin. Some of their products do have lanolin, so I use First Aid Beauty Priming Moisturizer under the foundation.

I can appreciate a great brand that's natural and like really good mineral makeup, thank you so much for that. I just hate Peta, they murder so many animals. I wish I knew of other animal helping foundations that are actually out there trying to help animals. Love you so much Wayne, you're amazing

Hi from Australia, thank you so much Wayne for talking about this brand. I’m in my late 60’s and haven’t worn makeup for years because I didn’t like the feel of heavy foundations. I love that it’s an Aussie brand and very reasonably priced, by being able to put on as much or little as you want really suits my needs. It looks great on you and thanks for all the tips. Will be purchasing tomorrow in store so that I can pick my right colour.

I'm coming up to 60 Meredith - Bare Minerals dries my skin out, what's your honest opinion for older skin as I don't want it going in my wrinkles?
@@suedukes4828 I will have to be very honest here, I still haven’t bought any foundation. I no longer work and very rarely go anywhere. I have bought several different ones but have not tried them. I am trying just to keep my skin hydrated and soft, nearly all moisturisers just sit on the top of my skin and don’t get absorbed. I have found one thing that I put on at night and the next morning my skin feels beautiful, it’s Cerave hydrating hylauronic acid serum. The bottle is small but I use just little dabs and it’s perfect. I got the tip from Ariane Poole’s RUclips video, she recommended other brands that were far too expensive for me but I find that Cerave is lovely . I have tried other mineral powder foundations but they feel too dry for me as well.
I did buy the bare minerals complexion rescue gel but still haven’t tried it 😁
I hope you can find something that suits your skin, if I ever pluck up the courage to put some makeup on I think it will be a fluid or creamy type 💕💕

I was wondering if you could do something on how to get a smooth, beautiful, natural looking makeup (tutorial) for fair-skinned people with freckles and red hair?
My daughter is 18 and wants to wear makeup, but DOESN'T because she struggles with wanting a natural look for her particular skin type/color & red hair that goes with it.
I've found just a couple on RUclips for her, but she found them confusing and not as helpful as YOUR tutorials are.
