I've been wearing bare minerals for 20 years. Tried alot of liquid foundations because I was watching RUclips! Nothing compares to bare minerals powder. Correct.. you must buff!
I had no idea the powder had to buffed in! I hated the look when I used the pro powder. It looked terrible. I used my powder today and took the time to buff it in, using the same brush that you favor. What a difference!
Does anyone know how to get around the cracking? I travel with my makeup and it often opens broken. Is there any way to fix this, or find a work around? Like a certain tool to press it back down every time?
The first makeup my mom got for me to use was a bare minerals kit with the original foundation. At the time, high school me was so disappointed because it wasn't "fun" or "cool", but now I realize that stuff was perfect for a daily, natural look. Sorry mom! lol
You’ve literally increased my knowledge about powder foundation by a hundred. You have such a skill as a makeup educator with your descriptive, instructional information. Thanks!
I started wearing Bare Minerals, back when Leslie was on QVC, and there were only 3 color choices for the foundation! I’ve tried multiple other powder foundations over the years, and I typically go back to BM. One of the best things I ever did was to go to a boutique grand opening with Leslie, and some of the company makeup artists. I had made an appointment, so that I could get tips, and ask questions. That was a game changer for me! I’ve continued to update my techniques over the years, and got some great new tips from you. Thanks for making these videos for us!
Bare Minerals will never go out of fashion for me. I have both original and matte. The only foundation I trust for my acne prone skin and in the Indian hot and humid summer.
wateva I am not sure, probably not easily available in India. I got them While i was in America.I am not on Insta so not sure if some insta stores have them
I have watched your videos for years now and have tried and tried to figure out what I was doing wrong with the original formula of bareminerals. I did step by step what you were saying to do and it just looked so awful. The matte version looked a little better, so I normally wore that instead. I had all but given up until I watched this video and you said you were barely applying any pressure with the brush. I decided to try one last time with bareminerals before I gave up and tossed it. To my complete astonishment, it looked amazing. All I have been doing wrong all these years is buffing too hard. I felt so dumb, but now I can use the foundation. So happy!
I keep forgetting to tell you how much I LOVE your new hair cut! It makes you look like a teenager!! I wore my hair that length for years... I’ve since grown it out long, and it lives in a messy bun. You’ve inspired me to cut my hair short again. Thanks for all the great content... you’re an absolute doll💜
I’m so happy I found your channel. I’ve always worn powder foundation since I was a teen, and now I’m 33. There is such a lack of good info and tips on powder foundation, and you truly are a powder foundation expert, there is no channel out there like yours. Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and tips! ❤️🙏🙏
I Love Bare Minerals! I've been wearing it since it first came out. I'll be 50 September 28th and people don't believe me about my age! Makeup can either make you look older than you are or younger than you are. It's great for your skin too! I love it!
Oh wow! So good to know 😊 you look absolutely stunning! May I ask which formula of bareminerals do you use please? The original? The matte? Or the Blemish Rescue? And what setting powder or mineral veil as I see they have many different ones now? 🙏 Any recommendations on primers? Need as much tips as I possibly can get 🙏☺️💕
I’ve been using Bare Minerals Original since I saw it on an Infomercial. I can’t buff it in for as long as you do because it breaks up as it mixes with my skin’s oil. For me a slight buff works. However, the star of the show is the powder concealer Bisque! I use it on my nose as a “foundation”. It’s the ONLY covering, both powder and liquid, that will stick to my nose, fill in pores, and last for hours! And the slight “peachy” color matches my skin tone perfectly. I even use it on my nose when I wear liquid foundation. It blends with whatever color foundation I’m wearing. Bisque is an amazing product!
I also use Bisque every day. If I need to cover a blemish/spot etc I will put a tiny amount of cream concealer on it and then Bisque over that. I have never found anything better to cover a blemish. I also use it on my nose for extra coverage. It’s such a good product.
Yes! I use Summer Bisque as the original Bisque is too pink for me, it just erases all those pesky little shadows under your nose, on the chin, smile lines etc. I just picked up a new jar of it last week at the Ulta sale haha 😆
I have dry skin, but bare minerals foundation looks the best on me! I’ve tried tinted moisturizers, liquid foundations (& some were very expensive) but bare minerals is superior.
I started back with Bare Mineral foundation about 2 years ago and my 67 year old face looks so much better. I use the fairest one am it was immediately and noticeably better looking skin for me! I love your teachings on it.
Oh my god. I've been using the foundation wrong! No wonder it has been sooo underwhelming. I was confused on how the foundation looked so great on my friend and not on me. Turned out I've been using it like a setting powder lol. Thank you so much. I can't wait to retry tomorrow!!!
I tried BM years ago.... the shade that the girl gave me was NOT the one for ME and after I got the correct one it still didn’t work and now I know why! Also... Why on earth I hadn’t watched any of your videos? Very well spoken, not too loud gosh I’ve seen only one video and I’m mesmerized by how elegant you are!
I have been using Bare Minerals powder foundation and their primer for the last 15 years and what I love most is that it has adapted to my skin as I have aged. Added the liquid concealer to my routine recently when I started looking 'hooty' due to a required medication. I do use the RT brushes, but I think I'll revisit Bare Minerals mine up to compare. I cannot imagine fudging with liquid foundation now!
I love your powder foundation videos! I refuse to use cream/liquid foundations ever again because my Mac Studio Fix Powder is my everything! I have that in 4 shades! A lighter one for my under eyes to brighten & conceal. One for my fairest, medium and my ultra tan skin in the summer. I even will rewatch most of your older videos on the topic just to refresh my memory in case I stopped using a technique. Please never stop making updates demos & videos on powder foundation, you hands down do it best!!
I’ve used this since 2000 going back and forth between the original and the matte ! I will always support this brand & color selections include my chocolate skin tones so that’s a plus
I just got the beautiful finish brush and I love it!!! What a difference! I’ve got large pores and the brush blends so well the mineral foundation that you can’t notice the pores. Thanks for recommending it!
I can definitely attest to the longevity of bareMinerals powder makeup, I wore it when I was working as a flight attendant in the Middle East, we didn't have aerobridges at our base airport at the time, in the summer it got HOT in the plain, on the ground, and my makeup stayed put when I was sweating. Even when I came back from operating a flight throughout the night, most of my colleagues would ask me where I was going because I looked so fresh still!
Bare Minerals is my favorite foundation of all time. It was recommended to me by a colleague and I was immediately hooked. Although I use other types of foundation on a regular basis, this is by far the most wearable and flattering foundation for me. It never looks cakey, still looks amazing mid to later day even in the sunlight. I love it and will never stop using the original mineral foundation.♥
Best thing I ever did was switch to bare minerals and copying your technique. It's pricey to begin with but a jar lasts me about 7 months and I use it every day! I have a couple of their loose blushers too and they're gorgeous.
It's been years since you both commented but do either of you have any advice for blush colors on very fair skin. I've heard using peach and reds is what I should do.
I pulled my bareMinerals out after watching this video and can I just tell you...I have fallen in love all over again! I have worn this makeup off and on for 20+ years and watching your _back to basics/dos and don'ts_ has helped me SO much! Leslie Blodgett always stressed to only use a small amount and I somehow had forgotten that. So, I was kind of piling it on and I didn't like how it looked, and I stopped using it. At 60 years old, I have been struggling to find *the* perfect foundation and thanks to you posting this, I can finally stop searching! I have even jumped onto the BM site and am now on auto-delivery for the Power of Good kit! Thank you so much! ❤️
This is off topic but I trust your opinion, have you ever tried essences matte bronzer, if so what do you think? By the way you look so beautiful today, but in all honesty you always do 😍😍😍😍😍
You are THE expert !!!! Thanks for this great video! I am 49 and love bare minerals by the way i also use a great powder foundation from a company called LILY LOLO and it is awesome!!!! I have oily combo skin so sometimes powder foundation just melts off so... i don't use them often but i would like too😘 Thanks for all the tips👍🏻💞
Thank you! I have this Bareminerals foundation brush, and used to hate it. I applied my powder foundation with a elf stipple brush for years. I recently started to use my Bareminerals again, and since the elf brush was dirty, I used a real techniques brush.. things weren't quite right. After watching this video, I went and used that Bareminerals brush on one half of my face, real techniques on the other.. and OMG! You are so right! I must have been using the Bareminerals brush wrong before, because it is now going to be a favorite!
I’ve worn bareMinerals since they launched. It was an infomercial and you ordered through Gunthy Renker 😂😂. I try other foundations and always end up coming back because they break me out. If you will just learn how to put it on it is amazing. I love adding cream blushes and highlights on top and have never had any issues. Bk Brushes makes a good one that applies Bareminerals very well. ❤️❤️
I’ve never really worn face makeup, only ever done eye shadow and liner. But recently decided to try out foundation, concealer and blush contour. Decided to go with a powder foundation, but then realized many of the tutorials use liquid foundations, so this is very helpful, thank you 😋
So glad I watched this. Recently went back to BM original, and my skin was looking awful. It was the primer. Changed back to a silicone based primer, and it looked great.
Powder foundation always works on my sensitive skin. I‘m getting married in October and I do my makeup myself with powder foundation. My primer is from 100% pure without silicon and it works so well 😊
Shelby, Great video. Sometimes I use a liquid foundation or CC Cream and sometimes a mineral foundation. You are so right about using that small amount of powder and buffing and building. I like the new design of the Bare Minerals brush, I still have the one that came with the kit for years. Take care!
I use to cake on my bareminerals until I found one of your old videos a few years ago. I'm so used to the great finish now that I can't go back to liquid foundation 😂
Thank you, thank you, thank you Ms. Wilson. I’ve had Laura Geller’s baked powder foundation and have been applying it wrong forever. So glad I came across your video. I used your tip and, man, what a difference. My skin looks perfect. Thank you.
Your videos are what got me to try BM & powder foundations in general. Powder is so light but still gives you coverage & your skin looks like skin. I love it
100% agree with the brush matters and how traditional synthetic brushes don’t quite give the same effect as the beautiful finish brush! I found that it made a huge difference in application!
Sweetie, you are more beautiful today than all those other videos combined. I didn't watch all of them through, just clicked on them to check you out. LOL I waffle back and forth between Bare Minerals (yes I've tried others and I agree it's the best) and liquid/cream foundations. I've used it since its inception and yet as I've gotten older I've been branching out to try other things to see if it might help my look - I'm 71 - can't say I've found the perfect one for me but I do return to the original more often than not.
i think i've been watching your videos since the beginning. you are very good explaining the do's and, mainly, the don'ts. the buffer of powder foundation is the key. i used to just apply and go. never did any good for me. now, some years later, i stil use powder foundation, and because of what you explain so perfectly, it doesn't look patchy, or powdery, it looks good. natural, and that's what i personally like. thanks so much for your time
Your makeup is absolutely beautiful. I bumped into this on RUclips. I used to wear Bare Minerals, but as I aged, it looked to powdery. Now I know I wasn’t applying it correctly. I’ll take a look at your other videos. Hope you have something for mature skin.
I love my bare minerals foundation for 15 years. I have dry skin, but I look glowy and healthy. I sometimes use Mac fix + at the end when I am feeling extra dry. The foundation lasts long working days.
Woman you look amazing here. Definitely an expert. Love these videos so helpful. I used to only use powder foundation. Love bare minerals. Totally agree. Whatever you are doing it definitely works and you are glowing. Gorgeous!!!! 🔥🔥💓😍🍷
I absolutely love this Bare Minerals foundation powder… I’m 53,when I wear it my skin looks flawless…. When I wear a creamy foundation it sets in the few lines that I have…
Buxom Primer infused Bronzers and Blushes look soo good over BareMinerals. It melts into the skin so beautifully and the colors are amazing. Also, (Buxom and Bare are sisters) they’re the same company. So you can rest assured you’re getting that good-for-skin quality with all their products.
I LOVE Bare Minerals! I don’t know how I ever left it! I apply my cere ve sunscreen, allow it to sink in, then occasionally apply a little bit of concealer under my eyes (when necessary 🥱), then apply my Bare Minerals original powder foundation, and go in with whatever little extras I feel like adding for fun I.e. mascara, eye shadow, blush, etc…
I’ve used many other powder foundations in the past but I always go back to the bareminerals one. I just love this brand. I’ve been using it for many many years.
Can I just say I’m astounded by your transformation? I’ve come from one of your 2014 videos. And you looked perfectly smart and beautiful (and adorable!) back then too, but I’m LOVING the sophistication you’ve grown into. Thanks for sharing your journey, I wouldn’t have recognized you if not for the name.
I like Bare Minerals, especially in the summer. I would really love if they could manufacture the sifter to be lifted off so I could use all the product. Yep, I am someone who uses all the product until it is gone!
I totally agree with what you said. In fact I noticed several years ago that the more you buffed a small amount and then moved on to another part of your face, the better the result. I thought I was crazy, but the way you explained what happens, it all makes sense. I have strayed sometimes trying other foundations (some with not great results--many liquid foundations oxidize on me) and find I always gravitate back to the BM line. The only gripe I have is that they did not name the compact powders the same as the original line. I always know what shade(s) I use in the original, but cannot find the correct shade in the compact. I like the compact, just can't find the shade I need. p.s. I have tried the Ulta loose mineral foundation to be quite nice too, just not much of a shade range tho.
Thank You, I just got my order today. I used Bare Minerals years ago but after listening to you I now know I didn't buff it in enough so it looked like power sitting on my face. 😅😂 So I'm trying again because I always liked that Bare Minerals is Natural and I like that natural look.🙂
I bought bare minerals packed powder foundation because you talked me into it. I usually don't use one but you said, "there's one for everyone" I believe you. I can't wait to use it with my thinner textured foundation from bare minerals.
Not gonna lie, your makeup looks so fabulous in this video that I bought most of the items you are wearing, it's PERFECT! Now, I ordered the fair powder and really hope it matches, fingers crossed.
Yup, Shelby is the expert please listen to her!! I started wearing Bare Minerals in 2004… I still keep going back to it often, right now I’m wearing it every day as my main foundation along with the loose powder concealer. I prefer the Matte formula as it’s not as shiny as the Original. I did switch to using the synthetic buffing brush like Shelby used over their natural kabuki brush, as the kabuki used to irritate my skin if I buffed a lot. I have over 40 Bare Minerals loose eyeshadow colors, used to collect them! (I wasn’t part of their eyeshadow club unfortunately lol) their loose eyeshadow formula blends beautifully, and wears longer than pressed eyeshadow. Just sayin’ 😆 I feel that the company no longer does a good job teaching the important know-how for their loose powder products like Leslie used to years ago, and a lot of ‘secrets’ disappeared - fortunately we have youtubers like Shelby who can share her expertise. Even Wayne Goss did a Bare Minerals loose powder foundation video a few months ago, and he doesn’t know how to apply it correctly. He put the powder directly on his skin before buffing 😳 haha
I’ve just ordered some Laura geller powder foundation and I’m SO glad I watched all your tips first! As I’ve never used powder foundation before but my skin is aging (55) and I just want something very light and easy to apply now.i honestly haven’t worn foundation for years so looking forward to trying it and I’ve ordered the bare minerals powder brush you recommended. Hopefully they work well together 😊
How do you like the Laura Geller foundation? I’ve had it for a little while now and honestly, I don’t see anything on my skin after applying it… Strange but true.
@@Gotoworkkk i really love it but I do have to build it up. Maybe you need a shade darker? That’s what I did and it works better for me. I have very fair skin and get the medium x
I’ve been using Bare Minerals since it was only available through the infomercial. Emily Noel uploaded a BM video today also!! Wise minds think alike!! I’ve watched every single powder foundation video you’ve created. You are a wealth of knowledge! I bought a mineral powder foundation brush years ago that isn’t a flat kabuki but more rounded with shorter bristles. It’s great at working the product into the skin. I know itCosmetics and Tarte have powder foundation brushes that work great!!
Love your makeup look!!! So natural and pretty. LOVE my original powder foundation and have been using it a lot. It gives my skin a lovely healthy glow. You're so right about buffing it in until it turns creamy. I use Neutrogena Dry Touch sun screen underneath. It acts as a wonderful primer and adds sun protection. My dermatologist recommended it years ago. Your videos are the best!!!
I used to love how my skin looked with Bare Minerals but it started giving me itchy skin. Especially if I wore it in hot weather. I still prefer a powder foundation and hear the words “swirl, tap and buff” in my head when I’m applying my powder foundation.
Hi Shelbey! Have you ever tried Jane Iredale Amazing Base loose mineral foundation? I think it’s is SO MUCH better than Bare Minerals! I wore BM for years and once I tried Jane Iredale, I never went back! It is so natural looking and buildable without looking cakey ❤
I just came across this video, because I just got the youngblood pressed foundation. I've used the SEPHORA mineral foundation for long time, but wanted something new. I don't like to put a lot of foundation on my face, therefore I live to ude an ittibitty dense brush to kind of conceal with the powder foundation and blend that in to my skin with a fluffy brush with the smallest touch of the powder on. It works perfectly! I love it and I hope the Youngblood is a better version of the SEPHORA one. Thank you for all your tips!
Thank you so very much!!!! It really made a huge difference!!! It even hid my dark spots the best ever!!! Now I am more excited about starting to wear makeup again and more often. It looks good!
*It's very much a coincidence that you post this today! I have a question for you.... When you see people applying the BareMinerals loose powder foundation incorrectly, does it ever irk you? Not enough to go on a rant ot anything but enough to politely say "you might be doing X incorrectly" or "you're using too much product" or "you're using the wrong type of brush for the results you're looking for"?? I only ask because I have watched ALL your videos and I actually learned how to use BareMinerals correctly from you. So, if I see influencers using it wrong snd then saying it's a bad product or that there's no coverage or it's cakey, I'll admit, I feel some type of way about it. It's not like I'm gonna leave hate comments but I do call them stupid in my head for not learning how to use it correctly first... Just being honost.*
I love your powder foundation videos present and past! They really were helpful for me to see different techniques and reasons for what works and what doesn’t! As always you look beautiful!! 😘
I followed ur advice and i got a beautiful finish but i used the elf flat top foundation brush 💖 I used estée lauder concealer on top of my foundation to hide my dark circles and i got the coverage i wanted without my under eye looking cakey. I just loved the finish 🤗
I just got my first bare minerals powder foundation in the mail today 😍. Can’t wait to start playing! Edit: Then I finish watching this video & make another order!!!
I did not know this wow, I am so pleased I found this video. I haven't worn powder foundations, actually I avoided them. I did recently buy a sample box and it has some in it, I haven't used it yet but I will now 😊💕
This was very helpful. I am new to your channel. Thanks for the recap and help! This has been so useful! UPDATE: I used your tricks and tips. A Kabuki brush is perfect and my base is flawless!
I recently discovered you and you know so much information!! I work in a natural makeup boutique in Canada and I’m surprised how many people don’t give powder foundation a chance!! Love your videos and new subscriber over here! 💕
I've been eyeballing Bare Minerals all day trying to figure out which level/shade (tone) to purchase. The tone is very important to me. I don't want orange, pink or harsh yellow tones. I want a soft neutral tone in the level between fair and medium. I'm not sure which level this would be. Light? Light-medium? If the neutral "must" lean into a specific "tone" I'd lean into a subtle yellow but only if it is a hint of yellow. It's like my hair, people think platinum blonde is one color but they don't realize the subtle "tone" variances platinum can and does have. The wrong tone looks horrible and will throw off your entire look. It's the same with makeup, matching your "tone" and the right color "level" (light to dark) is essential! I think it would be very helpful if you would do a series of videos where you go through each "level" of color and each "tone" within each level. Then match up coordinating products (blushes, eyeshadows, veil finishing powders, lipsticks, undereye concealers, etc). Get Bare Minerals to sponsor you. You deserve it! I absolutely LOVE your look in this video. Wow! so natural and gorgeous! I want this look! No offense out there to the many ladies these days wearing five inches of makeup but so many women look like clowns. The makeup trend is too heavy. The contour being worn by many women looks like a huge brown stripe painted on their faces. I'm all for glamour looks when it comes to makeup but these days women have lost their way when it comes to makeup application. Today's makeup trends look FAKE! This look is ultra-natural, sure, but my god it looks clean, fresh, and beautiful. Thank you for all of your videos.
Omg thank you for this video. Ive been googling for ages trying to find if i could put liquid concealer with bareminerals powder foundation. Always great advice ❤
One brush that I've been using is the Real Techniques Complexion Blender Brush. It's more flat tipped than the blush brush and works great for me with pressed poweder. But I've also started to use a triangle powder puff too. Both are great!
If I watched every single video of yours (🤪) I think This is the one I’d present you with an Academy Award for. Since I don’t have one of those lying around the house you get a big big thank you. You made me laugh when you said, when beginning point #3, now this may come as a shock to you ... . Well I was shocked at #1! I didn’t know any of your points today. Because I don’t want you to think I’m too dumb - I’m a liquid foundation girl but a closet powder girl.now! Gotta try powder! Thank you again🥰
I love Bare Minerals!! Their products are great!! I love it!! You can build up as much product or less product, whatever you want to do. I use a primer whenever I use the Bare Minerals powder foundation. It blends very well with my skin!! 💖
Just used BM powder foundation yesterday and it looked amazing, once again. My only complaint is that my face gets all yucky if I wear it in summer, when it’s hot and humid. I supect it’s the Bismuth Oxychloride, it seems that’s an issue for a lot of people.
I'm new to the bareminerals world but already love the powder foundation. I use it as a consealer too with a smaller brush on spots. It works very well for me. I just had some problem to find the right shade. I use the zoeva flat foundation brush and it works very well for me.
The silicone based primers can be a problem as they can & do block the pores. I tried one some years back under my BM foundation. A few hours later I noticed a bunch of little bumps on my chin. They were all blocked pores & I was already in my 50’s, so not a teenager here. Secondly, the key for the powder foundation to work is, if you have dry skin, you MUST moisturize! You need that moisture in the skin for it to truly work. So if you have dry skin apply moisturizer first, then Primer, any concealer & then buff on your foundation. If you watch the videos on here from QVC or even the original Infomercial, that is how they always demo this product. I think you put the concealer on first as it is actually a different color than the foundation. It’s called Bisque. I’m now 57 & have been using this product for at least 20 years.
BM is going thru a rebranding I think. They were bought out by sheseido, I believe, I read it in a blog. Im a guy and powder makeup is the only kind that doesnt make my beard look beige lol I used to buy BM kits on QVC, they have yearly specials and everything was supersized. I missed the last one so I was going to just buy a few of the regular size and theres hardly any stock left!! BM used to have like 5 pages of products, now its like half a page. QVC used to always have great selections and new products but not now. I got 2 matte and an IT cosmetics powder foundation in the black compact. Its matte and the color match is really good but its just not the same as BM. Maybe bcuz BM was what I started with in like 1999, im almost 40 now!! It holds a special place in my heart ❤ I remember my first shade match was Tan, plain Tan. That was the only tan shade, now there's warm tan, beige tan, deep tan, golden tan, golden deep tan, dark tan... so many new shades over the year's 😂😂
I've been wearing bare minerals for 20 years. Tried alot of liquid foundations because I was watching RUclips! Nothing compares to bare minerals powder. Correct.. you must buff!
Same! I've been wearing Bare Minerals foundation for over 15 years and I will never switch to anything else.
Sorry mom! lol
HAHA SAME! My mom always wore it and I always told her it was for "old people" LOL
I got both my daughters the bare Mineral kits to start when they were 14! Same thing my Big Sister did for me when I started makeup too!
@@ShelbeyWilson omg! I said the same thing to my girls! Lol

Me too😀!
Update: did not do well in the heat. Lol
Deylah Fountain wondered about that. And I live in Oklahoma and it’s insanely humid. So I doubt it would do well
Bare Minerals will never go out of fashion for me. I have both original and matte. The only foundation I trust for my acne prone skin and in the Indian hot and humid summer.

yes I'm so heavy handed with everything it's something I gotta learn to do is apply a light pressure.
Thanks for sharing your experience and I’m glad you figured things out
Your comment has been very encouraging!!

I’m so happy I found your channel. I’ve always worn powder foundation since I was a teen, and now I’m 33. There is such a lack of good info and tips on powder foundation, and you truly are a powder foundation expert, there is no channel out there like yours.
Need as much tips as I possibly can get 🙏☺️💕
happy almost birthday!!!
I forgot all about Bare Minerals. I used to swear by it about a decade ago. You make me want to get more, you’re flawless.
Wow thanks for the tip about Bisque !!
Robyn,try the matte BM powder
I found your channel several months ago by searching how to apply bareminerals powder foundation, and I've been watching your videos ever since! 😊
I started back with Bare Mineral foundation about 2 years ago and my 67 year old face looks so much better. I use the fairest one am it was immediately and noticeably better looking skin for me! I love your teachings on it.
Yes that's amazing
that's amazing 💜💜
You were the reason I love my BM so much. I bought it and didn't know how to use it. I have been using all of my 20s and I don't think I will stop
Just started wearing my BM again since I am wearing masks, I’m finding powder works better under a mask and I’m hoping by using BM I won’t break out.
Omg me too! Less breakouts and less makeup transferring onto my mask. Magic stuff.
Me too
Me, too! I hope it helps!
Me, too!!
Same reason, lol. Otherwise my foundation just melts down under my mask.
I just got the beautiful finish brush and I love it!!! What a difference! I’ve got large pores and the brush blends so well the mineral foundation that you can’t notice the pores. Thanks for recommending it!
Thank you so much! I’m now 30 and so over foundations and really wanted to give BM a try and I feel super informed now ❤️
I can definitely attest to the longevity of bareMinerals powder makeup, I wore it when I was working as a flight attendant in the Middle East, we didn't have aerobridges at our base airport at the time, in the summer it got HOT in the plain, on the ground, and my makeup stayed put when I was sweating.
I agree. They've brought out other foundations, since they sold out but nothing beats the original
It's been years since you both commented but do either of you have any advice for blush colors on very fair skin. I've heard using peach and reds is what I should do.
@@ivetterodríguez-j4k What's your skin undertone?
@@carolegunfield9460 cool-neutral
I would like to avoid looking sunburnt.
I have oily combo skin so sometimes powder foundation just melts off so... i don't use them often but i would like too😘
Thanks for all the tips👍🏻💞
Oqtalyqqtalttql9jen9
My favorit is Bare mineral Original, and it has been for almost 15 years! I love the finish of it! 😃
Love that u are doing recap. I started Bare minerals last yr because of your videos (age 49 combo oily)
This is very helpful video. I just got bareminerals foundation power and I have no idea why I got so much power on my face!! Thank you so much!!!
I’ve used many other powder foundations in the past but I always go back to the bareminerals one. I just love this brand. I’ve been using it for many many years.
I started with bare minerals in high school. I’ve not worn any makeup in 2-3 yrs but vids like this always makes me wanna put it on again.
You look so beautiful with this look, the thumbnail really gave Rachel Green vibes.
I was wondering what i found so familiar about this look! lol
My first thought!
I’m a Newby! This is perfect! I’ve used Bare Minerals now, for, around 22 years...
Loving using powder foundation lately!
Love BM powder original foundation. Also love face and body liquid foundation. The BM flat foundation brush Found on Amazon is fabulous.
I like Bare Minerals, especially in the summer. I would really love if they could manufacture the sifter to be lifted off so I could use all the product. Yep, I am someone who uses all the product until it is gone!
You can open it from the bottom to get all the product :)
I’ve been watching you since you were in college. I learned to use Bare Minerals with you and I still love it to this day. Thanks for the throw back 😁
Thank You, I just got my order today. I used Bare Minerals years ago but after listening to you I now know I didn't buff it in enough so it looked like power sitting on my face. 😅😂
So I'm trying again because I always liked that Bare Minerals is Natural and I like that natural look.🙂
I bought bare minerals packed powder foundation because you talked me into it. I usually don't use one but you said, "there's one for everyone" I believe you. I can't wait to use it with my thinner textured foundation from bare minerals.
I'm not a foundation person, I just like to learn new makeup tips from you!
Just sayin’ 😆
I feel that the company no longer does a good job teaching the important know-how for their loose powder products like Leslie used to years ago, and a lot of ‘secrets’ disappeared - fortunately we have youtubers like Shelby who can share her expertise.
Your hair looks so cute and chic! You are 100% the bare minerals expert!!
I haven't used powder foundation for the longest time, this makes me want to try it again.
I used to love how my skin looked with Bare Minerals but it started giving me itchy skin. Especially if I wore it in hot weather. I still prefer a powder foundation and hear the words “swirl, tap and buff” in my head when I’m applying my powder foundation.
You should try the matte version if the original makes you itchy, that's another tip from Shelby :-)
Wow! Looks great, I usually use a little liquid foundation but I think I'm gonna have to try powder - maybe that will eliminate pilling?
Your skin looks beautiful. My big problem is shade- especially now we can’t try anything in store.
So appreciate the updated video/reminders. I always worry formulas change or there are other options, brushes, combos to use. This is so helpful.
I followed ur advice and i got a beautiful finish but i used the elf flat top foundation brush 💖
I used estée lauder concealer on top of my foundation to hide my dark circles and i got the coverage i wanted without my under eye looking cakey.
I’m determined to get my powder foundation to work for me. Thank you for the motivation!
You got this!
For sure!
I love Bare Minerals!! Their products are great!! I love it!! You can build up as much product or less product, whatever you want to do. I use a primer whenever I use the Bare Minerals powder foundation. It blends very well with my skin!! 💖
New at powder foundation 🙋🏽♀️ just got me some bare minerals powder foundation and I did have trouble in the beginning but I really like the idea
Just used BM powder foundation yesterday and it looked amazing, once again. My only complaint is that my face gets all yucky if I wear it in summer, when it’s hot and humid. I supect it’s the Bismuth Oxychloride, it seems that’s an issue for a lot of people.
Good idea to revisit. You'll surely convert some newbies. But time is the enemy when people use an inefficient brush.
This is something about makeup I did not know- buffing product into my skin sounds scary though...thank you I will try and be light and gentle
I'm new to the bareminerals world but already love the powder foundation. I use it as a consealer too with a smaller brush on spots. It works very well for me. I just had some problem to find the right shade. I use the zoeva flat foundation brush and it works very well for me.
Thanks for this video. I have Bare Minerals but have gotten away from it trying other things - it's time to go ahead and try again - excellent video
I cover all of this in videos I've been posting for the past 10 years :)
Shelbey Wilson Maybe, but for anyone new seeing this video first, it bears repeating as some don't know, or tend to just forget.
It holds a special place in my heart ❤
I remember my first shade match was Tan, plain Tan. That was the only tan shade, now there's warm tan, beige tan, deep tan, golden tan, golden deep tan, dark tan... so many new shades over the year's 😂😂
I love powder foundation during the summer
