I made homemade hot cocoa a week ago and I always use whole milk for the smooth taste. I also put in some mini marshmallows as well. I need the hot cocoa for those times, I'm outside, because I am in Wisconsin and it gets very cold outside. The homemade hot cocoa I make really hits the spot.
I just made this yesterday minus the heavy cream powder. But I added about 1/2 tsp. SALT to the mix. It tasted sooo good. I tasted it with the salt and without. We do need some salt and this is just a small amount that makes a big difference.
Fresh nutmeg and high quality vanilla would be good, which I do in coffee. I think I will make some with powdered goat milk that I just found on Amazon. My husband can’t drink milk. Powdered sugar would be better than sugar. Thank you for posting this!!

Because it’s packed with sugar. Do a 30, 60, and 90 minute postprandial see how close to 200 your BF glucose gets your feeding his total RDA of sugar in one mug of hot chocolate
Well now, just because Roy said it was the best hot chocolate, I'll just have to try making Gramma Rose's Sugar-Free Hot Chocolate Mix for myself. I've just subscribed to your channel, because, well, the two of you are just too darn cute. Have a blessed day. Love from Canada.
Am I the only one that sees your mix is packed with sugar? About 22 grams in that 14 oz mug. Milk had Lactose. Lactose is sugar. Read the back of the powdered milk package.
@@denniscollins3314 Thank you for your input Dennis. First you can reduce your serving to one cup. The glycemic load for powered milk or whole milk without added sugar or carbs from other additives is 3 to 4. You can google the glycemic load of whole or powdered milk and find it. Glycemic load of 10 is low. 4 is very low. This includes the natural sugars in the milk. The glycemic load (not index but load) gives the carb effect on your body. So, you may intake something with say 9 carbs by count but the carb effect is only 4. Glycemic load carbs are the effective carbs that your body insulin reacts to not the count of total carbs you swallowed. Of course each diabetic’s body can vary in its reaction to carbs. Glycemic load is based on a serving size usually of 100 grams of the food. In this case 100grams of reconstituted milk or 100grams of whole milk. You can also order the powered heavy cream which she showed you and which is even lower GL per cup. Hope this helps.
Gramma Rose Love Your Home and Hot Cocoa Thanks for Powder Cream Tip I didnt know they sold it in powder form God Bless U and Yours
This is the best cocoa mix recipe. I know since I've tried 8 in the last three weeks.

So happy to know they sell powdered heavy cream! I can't wait to try your mix!
I made your earlier version the other day. Also the mocha mix. I added a scoop of unflavored collagen. Oh wow! So creamy!

Hello
Can you use powder whole milk and heavy cream powder? If so, any adjustments?
Thank you
LOVE ALL YOUR RECIPES
I am going to try this. Going crazy looking for sugar free hot chocolate. Those have a lot of sugar too
Roy loves it. So good on a cold day🌹
Tks for this I need to make it... I am gramma Rose also...😊
Making this soon
Now, for me, I shall have to make it dairy free too! Then…I can enjoy it with you both! Yum…love hot chocolate ❣️😍
Add some collagen powder... it makes it frothy 😊 a lil bit of salt makes chocolate pop...🙏🏼
I added 1 box of sugar-free instant chocolate pudding, oh so creamy.
Add some rum to it! 😋
Dollop of Cool Whip on top!
The non fat powdered milk has 12g of sugar for1/3 c
