Dani, I made this for my husband just a couple of hours after you uploaded it. And as someone addicted to bad foods and sugar loaded drinks, he said this is the best hot chocolate I've ever made for him in the 10 years we've been together. So thank you so much for this clean and delicious recipe that I'm certain we'll be incorporating into our holiday traditions for the rest of our lives.
I always wondered about the difference between cocoa powder and cacao thanks! Another thing that makes chocolate more chocolatey is coffee powder for instant coffee a tiny bit of instant coffee will really ramp up that chocolate flavor
Love this!!! Unrelated to hot chocolate but I would love to see a video on the best way to store different types of produce specifically after it’s been washed.
Brilliant! I recently discovered your channel and I’ve made several of your dishes already. Thank you for helping others to learn about healthy eating. I’ve been eating clean and healthy for some years but if our poor health epidemic is an indicator it’s sorely needed. I’m a 70 year old woman and an avid hiker and cyclist and in October I got serious about strength training. I also strive for 30 G protein per meal. I have been using the same protein powder for a few years. I crave hot chocolate this time of year but always abstain until now! Thanks again, I can’t wait to try it!
"Leveling up," as you put it is the way to go, imo. Making tasty food healthier and healthy food tastier is a win win, I learned that from my mother and that's how I try to everything in my own kitchen. Food from other sources are the problem for me these days, but whatcha gonna do? Thank you for a great recipe!
Thanks for this info. I have been wanting hot cocoa every since it turned cold(below38°), but I have diabetes and when I saw the amount of sugar and carbs, I had to back away. Now if I can find monk fruit, I am all set.
I've been craving some warm comforting beverages for the cold afternoons and this was perfect! It took a few drinks to get used to it, but it definitely hit the spot
Thanks you😊 I didn’t like the taste of plant protein either until I tried Sprout Living Epic Plant Protein in Vanilla. It is absolutely delicious! You’ll never go back to anything else.
I have been searching for a clean, healthy hot chocolate recipe that tastes good but won't raise my blood sugar. I am looking forward to trying it! Thank you!
My hot chocolate usually consists of cocoa powder and hot water, sometimes a dash of instant coffee, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. Not bad, but I almost jumped for joy when you put protein powder in your recipe! I struggle to get enough protein. A jar of plain plant-based protein powder sits on my counter while I wonder what to put it in. Have tried some in muffins, pancakes and overnight oats, but not consistently. Really gotta be more intentional, and hot chocolate is a good start! Thanks!
That looks so good! I am going to try making it with roasted carob powder since that is what I have on hand. I’ve read that It is a better option for folks that have GERD.
Hey! Love all your recipes, protein banana bread got that one down! 😊 Thank you!! Have you made a Mexican concha? It’s very fluffy and sweet but looking to make a protein / less sugar one soon!
Hi Dani! Sounds great 😋 Today I found out that I'm pre-diabetic 🙄 Diabetes does run in my family. Also .. I'm on too many meds. One of my Drs took me off of one because when I take it, my potassium is fine, but my sodium is low. So it's a balancing act, she's trying. Have any thoughts for me? ❤ I like your sweater/sweatshirt!
Dani - thanks so much for this recipe! Great upgrade to the usual Hot Cocoa ! I have a question- not about food but I wonder what you use on your face? I love that it always looks so fresh and shiny,!
A bit confusing... You mention a cup of the almond milk during ingredient list, but use a cup and a half in your recipe. Looking forward to trying it with fairlife... Upping the protein even more... Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Looks soooo yummm!! I’m definitely trying this! Can I get the link for monkfruit sweetener used? I use mine with erythritol and I just don’t like the aftertaste
Really confused now about the report that came out yesterday about high levels of metals in protein powder, especially chocolate. Brand names were not released. So report served to scare but not help to choose contaminant-free products.
You can combine the cocoa powder, protein powder, sea salt, and monk fruit (if using) in a small glass jar - then, when ready to make the cocoa, heat 1.5 cups of milk - whisk in the cocoa powder, and add the vanilla.
🍫 Wow, this is the perfect drink for anyone who loves sweets but wants to stay fit! 🥰💪 Sugar-free hot chocolate that's also high in protein? If you want to indulge without the guilt, you’ve got to try this recipe now. 😋🌟
Good recipe. The protein powders I have tried tasted horrible. I found one called Lean Lady Boss that tastes very good like cake mix. No aftertaste and they have vanilla and chocolate flavors.
Please research allulose, it seems to be the only really healthy sugar alternative. 100% of Monkfruit sweetener is mostly Erithrytol. I have never found 100% Monkfruit powder. Allulose needs double or more the qty of the other sweeteners. That angers some people.
So it is possible for you to make a recipe without putting yogurt in it somehow? Oh wait I bet you whipped the yogurt to plop on top or froze the yogurt into marshmallow shapes.
I'm currenlty addicted to this hot chocolate! Such an easy way to level up your hot cocoa game! XO - Dani

Thank you Dani! Can’t wait to try! I’d love to see a video on all the ways to use Greek yogurt!
Love this!!! Unrelated to hot chocolate but I would love to see a video on the best way to store different types of produce specifically after it’s been washed.
Noted! Thanks for the suggestion.
@@CleanandDeliciousDani I'd love to see this too, thanks for considering!

I’m slightly obsessed with your sweatshirt. I do a similar hot chocolate as you. It’s great to have a healthier option to a well loved winter drink.

This recipe was amazing! Thank you! On another note, your skin is FABULOUS! Please tell us your skincare regime!
Thank you for this! Looks delicious! I add a bit of instant coffee to enhance the chocolate flavor too. But I love the addition of vanilla too. ❤
I can't thank you enough tor this recipe! I am so addicted to hot chocolate this time of the year. Now, I can enjoy it again guilt free! ☺❤
It's my pleasure! Enjoy it.
I drink a similar mix during fasting and its amazing for soothing stress❤

Omg just made this it’s excellent!!! I’m going to be making this regularly I love that I get my proteins in such a delicious hot beverage. Thank you
Thanks, want to make it immediately, I love adding a bit of cinnamon or cardamon, or both ;-)
Love the idea of adding cinnamon.
I've been craving some warm comforting beverages for the cold afternoons and this was perfect! It took a few drinks to get used to it, but it definitely hit the spot
Love the sweatshirt! Mary😀
Thanks you😊 I didn’t like the taste of plant protein either until I tried Sprout Living Epic Plant Protein in Vanilla. It is absolutely delicious! You’ll never go back to anything else.
Thanks for the recommendation!
This is great!!! I like mine with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
I have been searching for a clean, healthy hot chocolate recipe that tastes good but won't raise my blood sugar. I am looking forward to trying it! Thank you!
Yay! Enjoy it.
Thnx for the idea! I just made it and it was awesome! I didn’t have any monk fruit, so I added honey. Perfect! 🍯❤ I added cinnamon, too!
This looks awesome! Great idea. I love hot chocolate and this one is so much healthier. Thank you.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Dani, this looks INSANELY delicious❤
It's super yummy!!

That looks delicious! I will try this! Can you try to make a ketchup with more fiber and with less of the sugar?
That looks so good! I am going to try making it with roasted carob powder since that is what I have on hand. I’ve read that It is a better option for folks that have GERD.
Oh my! This is yummy. Thank you, thank you and thank you!
Thanks Dani! I can’t wait to try this.
I'm definitely going to try this! Thanks for sharing.
Hey! Love all your recipes, protein banana bread got that one down! 😊 Thank you!!
Have you made a Mexican concha?
It’s very fluffy and sweet but looking to make a protein / less sugar one soon!
That looks fantastic! I’ll try this. Can you make a ketchup with more fiber and less sugar than the regular brand?
I'll have to look into that!
Love malk too. It tastes so much better than other brands
Agreed!
Yum going to try it! Thanks Dani!

❤ Thanks, I really like your approach. How might you suggest we "level up" hashbrowns? I do not own an air fryer.
Lovely recipe thank you 😊
Thank you!!
Thank you! Shared with my kids. PS ❤ sweatshirt.... Je suis francais Ontario Canada here. Can you share where i can purchase your sweatshirt? 👍👌
Thank you so much ❤!!!!
Saving this looks like a good option. Have a great New Year to all of your family.
Yay! Enjoy it. Happy New year to you as well.
I like your suggestion of enjoy the food you like by leveling them up! I would like to have a link or your sugar and chocolate container
Just made it!! This was so good!! Thank youuu
I'm so glad you made it already (and that you enjoyed it!).
Dani, je t'aime. Thank you for your videos.
Just made this and absolutely love it
I love how quickly you made it!! Yay.
A bit confusing... You mention a cup of the almond milk during ingredient list, but use a cup and a half in your recipe. Looking forward to trying it with fairlife... Upping the protein even more... Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing! 😊
You have to try the Vegan wondershake . Chocolate bueno taste the best or any other chocolate flawour.
Can you make a version with powdered almond milk that can be diluted with hot water? Like instant hot cocoa.
please suggest which brand to use for the monk fruit.
Can this recipe be made up the night before so as to enjoy at work? Does it hold up well?
Looks soooo yummm!! I’m definitely trying this! Can I get the link for monkfruit sweetener used? I use mine with erythritol and I just don’t like the aftertaste
I actually use a blend as well (Lakanto) - but if you want pure monk fruit, you can try this one - > amzn.to/4gLboev
Looks yummy 🎉
Thank you!! Enjoy it.
Really confused now about the report that came out yesterday about high levels of metals in protein powder, especially chocolate. Brand names were not released. So report served to scare but not help to choose contaminant-free products.
How could you make this ahead (without milk) and then how much would you add to milk when you wanted to drink it?
You can combine the cocoa powder, protein powder, sea salt, and monk fruit (if using) in a small glass jar - then, when ready to make the cocoa, heat 1.5 cups of milk - whisk in the cocoa powder, and add the vanilla.
Could you add chia seeds to make a pudding?
Need to try ASAP.
Enjoy!!
Link to sweatshirt??
Thanks, I love hot chocolate!
Yum 😋
Guilt-free hot chocolate? Count me in! 🍫☕ What’s your favorite cozy drink for chilly days? 🧣✨
I have celiac can’t have any gluten. Does the protein powder have gluten in it
🍫 Wow, this is the perfect drink for anyone who loves sweets but wants to stay fit! 🥰💪 Sugar-free hot chocolate that's also high in protein? If you want to indulge without the guilt, you’ve got to try this recipe now. 😋🌟
When I’ve tried adding protein powder to hot drinks, it just lumps up, even when stirred vigorously. Does this method eliminate that problem?
I do not have this problem with this recipe. Just be sure to whisk it in, and be sure the milk is not super hot when you add the protein powder.
@ Thanks! I’ll give it a whirl!
Je t'aime Dani❤
Looks yummy.
Thanks! I hope you get to try it.
Awesome
But, you shirt! So cute. Where’s it from may I ask.
Lol that Malk brand reminds of of the classic "Malk" video from like 15 years ago
I recommend ISOPURE powder. ❤️😊
I'll check it out, thanks!
I need to get some protein powder!
Looks good 😊😊
Thanks! I hope you get to try it.
Tank you ❤
Hi Dani
I’m
Never can print your receipts. I select print and nothing happens. I do find I have a problem on certain websites
Good recipe. The protein powders I have tried tasted horrible. I found one called Lean Lady Boss that tastes very good like cake mix. No aftertaste and they have vanilla and chocolate flavors.
I don’t like monk fruit. I’ve tried 😨 what about coconut sugar?
Where do you get your white monk fruit?
This is the one I like - > amzn.to/424nCu7
I'm not fond of the aftertaste of monk fruit so I normally use coconut sugar in mine.
That works!!
I do the same but my sweetnet is honey.
You are so stunning!
High in protein (and lead, and cadmium)! 😳
Yummy, just needs cinnamon
🌀🌀🌀🌀💛👍Thanks I have totally forgotten about hot chocolate, done this way. ✔️
It's soooooo good!
Please research allulose, it seems to be the only really healthy sugar alternative. 100% of Monkfruit sweetener is mostly Erithrytol. I have never found 100% Monkfruit powder. Allulose needs double or more the qty of the other sweeteners. That angers some people.
Where the recipe
Seriously, it has protein powder, so no dah, its high protein. But protein powder is expensive not available to all.
This sounds great but is a lot of sodium 😬
You are so gorgeous.
Why, thank you!
So many ingredients!😩
I know!
To make it easier what about preparing a jar with a lot of the dried ingredients all mixed together? 😊
@@marie-helenequinney9869 I think that is great idea! I just can't figure out how much to add to each cup once it's mixed?!
So it is possible for you to make a recipe without putting yogurt in it somehow? Oh wait I bet you whipped the yogurt to plop on top or froze the yogurt into marshmallow shapes.
It's your lucky - this recipe uses no yogurt at all! Enjoy 😊
Sugar-free just for me... 😋
Can't wait to try ❤
Enjoy!
