part 4 is around when the whole “main character’s nickname is jojo” thing is dropped, though araki still tried to make it so that “jojo” is still somewhere in their name. the kanji for “josuke” spells out “jojo”, though he’s only called it once in the series, and for giorno, it’s a bit more creative-taking the “gio” from his first and last name to make “giogio”, but he’s never actually called it outside of a non canon novel.
I like that, it also helps to tie them a little closer as family if they all have the same nickname. They're all family right?

You did a pretty good job guessing their personalities, the themes and character designs do a good job portraying them. Jonathan is a polite gentleman from the 1800s, Joseph is a loud mouthed cocky thug from new york but he calms down as he gets old, Jotaro is a quiet high school delinquent and major badass, Josuke is a friendly high school student who has serious anger problems and breakdowns when someone disses his hair, Giorno is quiet but determined, Jolyne is a little aggressive and also badass, and Johnny is a stubborn but hopeful dude from the wild west

Character themes basically pop up when the character in question is doing something considered badass or epic. Essentially, it's the "protagonist is now winning" theme.

Part 2 was composed by Taku Iwasaki, who notably composed for Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Katanagatari previously. Gurren Lagann particularly has a spectacular soundtrack.
Part 3 onward is composed by Yugo Kanno, who has made his name composing for JoJo and consistently delivers excellent quality.
I'ma just say that Clint Eastwood said in an interview when he went to Japan, that Jotaro is cool. If Clint Eastwood thinks your cool, than damn.

Other folks have done it but it's fun so here we go:
1. Jonathan: Gentle giant. Naive and trusting but tough as nails.
2. Joseph: Clever trickster. Outsmarts opponents and is always a step ahead.
3. Jotaro: Stoic badass. Most likely to flatten opponents instead of letting them walk away.
4. Josuke: Kind and clever high school kid. If you insult his hair or hurt his friends, he'll turn you into paste.
5. Giorno: Cunning and ruthless. Dude has ice water in his veins and his ambition can't be beaten.
6. Jolyne: Another badass that absolutely mollywhops opponents. Kind of a mix of Joseph and Jotaro with intellect and strength.
7. Johnny: Stubborn and ambitious. Self esteem issues but he keeps the hope alive anyway.
8. Josuke: Bit of a goofball with savage moments. Also very clever. I'm still reading part 8 so I know the least about him.
That's all of them so far, but we'll be introduced to a new one soon.

Giorno is such a great character but so many people don't like him because he's more on the quiet and calm side unlike others like Joseph so people call him boring but he really isn't.

@@Scootx The whole point of Giorno's character is how he manages to influence everyone around him. He's the only Jojo to represent himself as a symbol rather than a character.
@@Scootx he’s not as badass as Jotaro, he’s not as charismatic as Joseph, and he’s not as fun as Josuke, but if I had to describe Giorno’s strong suit as a character in one word, it would be “Epic” with a capital E, he’s 100% my favourite Jojo so far and it’s not even close

Giorno’s personality is more thinking than expressing, but overall I’d say he’s one of those people who aren’t a good guy but definitely not a bad guy type of person.

@@Oscar-ek2jx(SPOILERS for part 5 ahead) He literally straight up kills people, still runs the very ILLEGAL underground mafia and puts Diavolo in an INFINITE death loop (which is pretty fucked up no matter if you think he deserved it or not + he wasn't even the most morally bad in part 5 by a good bit) in the final fight after pretty much dethroned him and defeating him when he could've just let him live and make sure he doesn't do anything by locking him away (like a hero would do) so he can cerment himself as the mafia boss because he has a dream and didn't like how Diavolo was running it. An antihero is a main character in a story who lacks conventional heroic qualities and attributes, such as idealism, courage, and morality. Just because giorno has good ambitions doesn't excuse his actions and ways he goes about things as being anti-hero like.
Thing is you can still be a good guy mostly and be an anti-hero. My case in point Deadpools more newer iterations have him acting with the xmen; helping civilians with him having a ton more development than just being a crazy mercenary. He ponders ethical and moral questions about his life, even acts upon these notions to better himself and take care of the people he loves that are around him, yet still murders whoever and leaves near to no survivors. Hell wamuu was honourable as hell and at heart at least somewhat was a good person but he's still an anti-hero.
The thing about the character themes from part 3 onwards is that they inherit themes from the previous version while still imparting their own styles. Playing off of the central theme of JJBA as a whole which is inherited destiny, and fate.
Oh wow I kinda notice a couple of them sounded slightly similar but knowing this makes it that much cooler
I've heard someone in the past call jjotaros theme the: "jotaros about to kill a bitch" song. Following that, I like to think of Joseph's as "the MC is about to do some crazy shit again"

Jonathan's Theme is so slept on, tbh. It's very heroic and epic and I LOVE it!!
But Joseph is best JoJo. He was designed after Sylvester Stalone in the 80s and there are references to his movies and outfits throughout the Part. I WISH his dub voice sounded like that vocalist -_-

jonathans theme is definitely hella slept on, it's genuinely a good ass song. it especially fits both jonathans character (more heroic parts) and phantom blood in general (more sinister parts). i think part 1 in general is underrated. i don't think it's as good as other parts but it's definitely not bad in my opinion, I quite liked it

The 7th part of jojo is a western set in the 1890s, it is also the start of the second jojo universe. Parts 1-6 are the Original universe, 7-8 are set in a new timeline because araki wanted to start clean and do something new after part 6 wrapped up the story.

When you say "are you hearing Giorno's theme here? just a little bit?" yeah, the genius musicians behind the JoJo soundtrack have little carryover themes between them.
It's top tier theme construction, building on previous works to go somewhere new.

Btw themes are apparently genetic, seeing as you can hear Jotaro’s theme underlying in Josuke and Jolyne’s themes.
Giorno is easily my favorite JoJo (GioGio). He's a mix of two characters you'll love, Dio and Johnathan. He has the cunning of Joseph, the resolve of Jotaro. He's as young as Josuke too.
People think Giorno might be a little plain, but I think he's packed with so much, and is nuanced / subtle too.

For the part 6 theme for Jolyne, I believe you were listening to an adaption of the Jojo Stone Ocean song trailer from a RUclipsr named Samual Kim Music (who makes great songs and remixes for Jojo and others btw)
Which means that her theme might not be exact to the way it is currently, if the trailer song is her theme at all is the thing

Giorno honestly is very introverted compared to the other JoJos but he’s also one of the more amoral and grey-characters. He’s a hardened cold-blooded murderer but he’s also a very empathetic character too. He’s got the highest kill count in the entire series for a reason lol

1: Stardust Crusaders: It was hard picking between Giorno's theme or this one but this kinda hits harder
when a beatdown happens
2: Vento Aureo/Golden Wind: honestly this is great to jam out on and especially during
Narancia's volare via it probably hit the hardest for me
3: Stone Ocean: this hits as hard a Giorno's theme like JOJO STONE OCEAN OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH
4:Phantom Blood: this really hits hard in the middle, the classy theme of the music makes
it great for someone like Jonathan
5: Diamonds are Unbreakable: this is kinda weak when it starts of but the middle and end was
the best part and I can hear a hint of Jotaro's theme
6: Battle Tendency: this unlike the others doesn't really outstand that much and you can barely
hear it when the best part happens

The characters themes play when there usually facing against a enemy and about to defeat them but are notoriously played for whats called beat downs which is when they beat the shot out of there enemy giorno is the one with the longest beat down so far

For Joylene's theme it probably sounds familiar to you from Wonder Woman's theme song. The director wanted her intro to sound western since it's taking place in America and to have similarities to her father's theme, Jotaro. That's probably why it sounds so familiar :)

the "Jolyne's theme" in the vid was a cover by a fan early on when her theme was first revealed, i love to see you react to the official one once it out!!
I don't remember his name but the dude that made the fan made themes I love him! I really love his Gyro's one. But you should react to Funny Valentine(with the into) and Diego's one as well (if you haven't already). Highly recommend!

The creator Araki designed clothes for Gucci and did a collab/cross over for a side character of his. If you look up "Jojo's bizarre adventure gucci" and you can find pictures of Gucci with Jojo advertised in the front window. Super stylish and an amazing artist.
The guy that does the rapping for Joseph's part is Lotus Juice! He does all the raps in Persona 3 onwards!! He's honestly one of my favorite musicians.
