This theme represents this character (almost every theme in the series do so). Most of It is calm, as the character, Who only wants to live a quiet Life without trouble. When the drop enters, represents when he attacks, quick and deadly, no clue left. Then quickly turns back to the calm theme of the begining, to his calm Life without problems.

"Killer" is the theme of Yoshikage Kira, a man who wants to live a quiet life and cannot stand interruptions to this, and when he attacks he is quick, and deadly, leaving nothing left of his victims. Yoshikage Kira is supposed to be seen as a normal man, who works a normal job, who has a normal life, and has many background appearances around 15 episodes before he is properly introduced because he fits into the background so well. He is easily my personal favorite Villain from the (so far) animated parts, excluding part 7 where Funny Valentine is introduced.
Thing is though, Kira doesn't actually want a quiet life.

The climax in the middle is used essentially as a “tragedy strikes” moment in the show. There are memes using that climax for the same feeling.
This piece is very interesting because most important characters have multiple themes - a theme for casual activities, a theme for battle, a theme for when they have their main character moment where they pull something out their ass and unexpectedly defeat the enemy, which is usually considered their main theme. However, the villains have ambient themes/leitmotifs that play whenever they show up because of how menacing they are, and those are usually considered their main themes. This theme is so subtle and quiet because - without giving too much information - Kira is a serial killer who is quiet and sneaky, and this theme is meant to unsettle you more than scare you. He has many other themes that are way more energetic and creepy that are used for when he fights, such as Another Face Same Mind, First Bomb, Second Bomb, Third Bomb. If you want to hear more unsettling villain themes I recommend Diavolo's Theme, which has some really interesting time signatures as well as a menacing organ.

So that viewer doesn't even know the face of a killer, and so, viewer can suspect anyone they meet. Also, Kira shows for a few moments before his official introduction. So it's not good, actually. To spoil such an important thing.

Jojo might probably be the most unique form of art i've ever seen or read in my entire life , and the music is one of the main pillars of that ; while being great and entertaining the themes were crafted to resemble the personality of their characters which takes it to another level , can't wait to see your reactions to the rest .

this ost is supposed to sound like a cat stalking its prey and finally pouncing. to me, the staccato piano has this sort of calm yet ominous feel to it, kind of like a sneaky curiosity. and i can feel the build up of the strings, flute, and woodwind in my chest and it makes it that much more enjoyable to listen to. definitely one of my favorites!

To me the song perfectly represents part 4 as a whole. Morioh almost has this creepy aura surrounding it. Most of the time it’s pretty laid back, but there is always the feeling of danger lurking around, and it has blended with its population. And the part where the music suddenly becomes loud would represent when catastrophic things happen like kira’s nails growing.
The theme fits absolutely perfectly with his character. He wants a very quiet and normal life but he’s also sneaky because he’s hiding a BIG secret that BLOWS up in peoples faces then goes back to his normal life without leaving a trace or clue
Two other themes that are the absolute "insanest" for this series: "Bruno's theme" and "Diavolo's theme". That's peak JoJo!

Kira is a vilain, a serial killer who try to be the most normal guy ever, basic, kinda like Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, but because of his powers, other of the Jojo's world always find him. Not sure if we could call him sociopath or psychopath ? His theme fits so much cause it feel like a guy taking a stroll and try to be normal while being insanely creepy.

As a "part 2" to this, maybe listen to "Another face, Same mind." It's Kira's theme, but way, WAY more messed up, fitting what happens later on.

Absolutely love your content man, the amount of analysis you give to these songs from both a musical and narrative standpoint without even watching the show is out of this world. If you are looking for more anime/manga music to listen to, I’d really recommend tracks from Berserk. Forces and Dragonslayer are some of my favorites!
The song resonated with him wanting a quiet and calm life but having sudden and quick fits of rage and urges. Then it calms back down and he goes back to a quiet reserved life.

I absolutely love this theme. This theme is perfect for the smooth, calm serial killer that is Yoshikage Kira. The quiet, calm, relaxing, resembling his desire of a calm, quiet life. Yet, at the same time, you can sense that something is off. Then, it happens. The *explosion* of music, resembling his explosive power, destroying whatever it is that is interrupting his quiet life, and leaving behind no evidence that it even existed. Then, it returns to the calm, yet now sinister music, as he brushes off whatever he just destroyed and returns to his quiet, calm life, keeping his secret hidden. My favorite theme in all of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
The fact that his theme so clearly articulates the moment of the kill is just *chefs kiss*

Unrelated to Jojo and might be a bit niche, but I think it would be fun to see a blind react to Kyaami’s version of Naraku no Hana and see if you can tell if they are a real singer or not~. It is a cover of the opening When the Cicadas Cry. I commented on an earlier vid too about the ost from Jujutsu Kaiser too as that anime has great music.
Kira's theme is perfectly representative of both his character and behavior, and even embodies the abilities of his Stand, Killer Queen.
Kira is the 'gentleman serial killer' type. Behaviorally, he's calm, composed, quiet, polite, etc. The sort of person who just wants a quiet life with no bumps in the road.
Underneath that, however, he's a cold, calculating, psychopathic murderer, who stalks women and steals their hands after killing them.
He never really breaks his composure, even when killing people; he transitions frighteningly smoothly from calmly speaking to someone, to killing them using his Stand. He obliterates people from existence as casually as shaking their hand. (Well... maybe that's a bad example for Kira specifically, given his... personal interests. But you get the idea.)
His theme even represents the nature of his Stand. Killer Queen's primary ability can turn anything he touches into a bomb, which he can detonate at any time, and there is absolutely no sign something is a bomb until it explodes. Like his theme, it's calm and unassuming, until out of nowhere it explodes with no warning, and then settles right back into calm like nothing happened.
Really, really fantastic design in every way.

You really should react to the Jojo's villain themes, they fit their characters way more than the protagonist themes (which makes them more specific and less song-like). Some of them are really funny and weird, but still unique and iconic, like the Pillarmen theme

Someday when you watch the show (especially the part that has this villain) you'll understand why his music is like this. It's so related to his character, especially that explosive part in the middle where everything goes loud, and then quiet again.

This theme is used almost every time Kira is on screen. It fits really well with his personality..IMO. It also shows his state of mind. Calm with the introduction and when he is agitated the crash comes in.

Watched a few videos, I got to say its great getting to see the reaction to this music by someone who has not seen the anime. JoJo's as an anime is drenched with musical references, you may just have a blast picking them out.
the song was used first when he was introduced but some parts are used when the main cast try to find him or information about his past thats why is so mysterious in most part,when he does some mindblowing stuff that insane drop is used
I love the fact that usually when the song gets to 5:40 they time it just right when something dramatic happens
Part 6 of the Jojo's official soundtrack hasn't released yet, but it should sometime this month I believe. When it does, theres so many good themes from there id reccomend you to try. Id start with Jolyne's theme and Pucci's theme. Just put those names in your head for the time being.

@@mohamedelhediissa289 Gangster’s Paradise is something the fanbase expected for some reason even though it was never referenced in the actual manga. The final chapter of Part 6 is literally titled “What a Wonderful World”. There’s no comparison between the two.

hands down the best antagonist theme for the best antagonist in Jojo! Such an amazing character! I ADORE this theme!
So with the villain songs in Jojo, they are mostly used to introduce the villain. Since all of the villain themes are ominous and sinister, they almost give a feel of hopelessness especially Kira, who is not the greatest of people.
You also hear this music one you find out what the villain's cool ability is and this also fits Kira extremely well. Just to let you know that non-stand users cannot see or hear the actual effect.
I would recommend listening to Diavolo's theme it's great! :)

Killer is one of the things from the show a lot of people will hear in memes and not even know it's a reference from this show until they watch it, cuz it's so useable over any shocking or horrible moment. top 5 iconic track for a character that takes part in my single favorite fight in the series (for the ppl who know, S-H-I-T)

Kira is such a well written villain. A calm, hidden serial killer with a messed up mindset, who just wishes to live a quiet life. Then- at a moment, when his desire to kill comes up- he totally changes to the cruel, fricked up person he really is, kills, leaves no traces, and comes back to his calm self. It's such a normal theme that almost nothing seems weird, just creepy, for some reason.

Every season of JoJo's feels like a completely different show. Part 1 feels like a classic heroes Adventure set in England. Part 2 feels like a supernatural World War II era period adventure. Part 3 is a globe spanning Adventure that goes all over the place. Part 4 is an intimate mystery within one town. Part 5 is a crime Thriller involving the internal politics of the Italian mafia. Every setting is so unique that the show just feels completely different every season. There's also a new protagonist every season
Crazy thing is I’ve watched that season so many times and just now watching your video made me realize that in the ensemble is a BASSOON, I am also a bassoonist and finally locked in fully on what was going on in the woodwind solo.

This theme fits Kira perfectly and kind of tells a story that has defenitely happened multiple times in Kira's life (slight spoiler for part 4 but it's not really anything you wouldn't expect):
the whole song is trying to lock you into this sense of safeness and slight dread but nothing major happens so you think that's going to be the whole way and then BOOM - the intense violins, having it sound like some horrible accident has happened or a huge tragedy which makes everyone shocked but this is only for a few seconds until this goes back into the same tempo that we were used to and everyone forgets about what just happened and moves on with their life
You analysis of every song you review is always a treat and great learning experience for someone like me who doesn't work in the music industry. If you're looking for something that's jazzy and a little different from the typical anime opening, I recommend the OPs for the Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju anime ("Usurai Shinjū" for Season 1 and "Imawa no Shinigami" for Season 2), which were composed by Sheena Ringo and sung by Megumi Hayashibara. If you don't already know her, Sheena (or Shiina) is a solo artist who also founded Tokyo Jihen and helped produce the music for the Tokyo Olympics presentation during the Handover Ceremony at the Rio Olympics in 2016. The percussion/drums is quite nice in both OPs, too.

You should also do Pillar Men's theme called Awaken! It's one of the best and most well-known themes from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Just realizing a year later the percussion sounds like a click and then an explosion, like what he does.
When you check out JoJo make sure to watch the Sub, watching the Dub means that you'll end up missing a ton of music references, the author of the manga is super into American music but a lot of names have to be changed in the English dub for copyright reasons, the subs still say the copyright-free names but you can make out what the original names are from the actual Japanese voiced
It's also hilarious to hear the Japanese voices shout out English music names.

The theme i'm definitely looking forward to the most is "Awake". The pillar men have such a weird energy, and their theme really shows it by mixing this old aztec singing with modern music perfectly, can't wait to see Tony talk about it.

This represents this character anxiety levels, there are actually more versions of this ost that shows even more anxiety, he just wants a quiet and peaceful life, thats why its a calm song, and then the song explodes it represents his anxiety getting higher, because something is troubling his quiet and peaceful life style, it doesnt last long because he deals with it quick, so after that it goes back to him being calm

i don’t know if anyone has commented this before, but i thought i’d mention how cool the outros are.
all of the outros are western songs. for example, part 1 outro is “Roundabout” by Yes, part 3 outro is “Walk Like an Egyptian” by The Bangles, part 4 outro is “I Want You” by Savage Garden, and so on.
jojos has got to be my favorite anime, and all of these musical references really make it stand out.

The best way to describe kira and his theme with minimal detail I’d say is to think of him like a cat, living his best life and every once in a while needs to hunt.

Yoshikage Kira is my favorite Jojo villian. He is well written and is so realistically scary. And his theme is so good and perfectly fits his character.
to quickly explain in a way that summarizes who the villain is in a broad non-spoilery way, he's a serial killer that blends into society

is unamusing trying to keep a low profile trying to live a quiet and peaceful life but when needed he will do anything to protect it
