Peace YC. I’ve been following your videos for a while now. I also watch Creative Ryan’s page also. The both of you have taught me a lot of ways to be creative. As of now I’m using my IPhone 14 Pro with the Moment camera/video app. This rig is definitely cool.
Haven’t shot much with my iPhone 15 yet. This rig seems dope. @shamrox
Life got hard and I had to step away from photography for awhile, but my family believes in me and upgraded my worn out iphone 11 to the iphone 15 pro max for Christmas. The spark is lit and I don't want to throw away all of the possibilities which is why I'm researching all of these new cages, lenses, handles, mics, and such. Reviews keep directing me back to the SmallRig. I would wear this thing out if you were to draw my name. Thanks for sharing the blessings.

That stairwell shot may have been the best I’ve seen from an iPhone to date.
I purchased on of these and yes it is 🔥. Plus a small note on the handles to tops also release to let you use to remote clicker without removing the handle. Plus they turn into cold shoes too

There is a lot of people shoting on phone and on the internet side the is a small difference in the quality, but for comercials and movies you should use a "pro" camera.. the problem is the budget nowadays, so give this man a like and subscribe for all the content is making for us.
To me it doesn’t matter how technically advanced the camera equipment is, as long as it looks good I will watch it. There are movies coming out nowadays that are completely filmed on iPhones.

So I’m in the uk and have a selection of goodies. I use the insta360 in customers race cars, but I have the DJI gimbal but don’t like it, has issues with malfunctioning.
So I’ve just got the iPhone 15 pro max today and the first thing I’ve done is search rigs for the camera! It seems the videos I’ve seen all advertise a certain brand? Maybe for sales or sponsorship but after stumbling across your video it was nice to see you actually showing the effects and the use of the rig.
Anyway I’m a motorsport mechanic and like to record and photograph cars in the workshop and do short videos, and this seems like a good rig.
I will continue researching till I’m 100% sure what to choose, but I’ve subscribed liked the easy to follow video. 😊

I don't think you can hold SSD or powerbank at backside and the ND filter from smallrig at the same time?
Also curious why not use the BlackMagiccam iPhone app which to me seems far superior to native iOS camera app ?
Did you remove the insulation on the cage? It looks less than mine. I have a major problem with this cage and it's that it doesn't fit my iphone 15 pro max - it slides a little way in and then is stuck and it's impossible for me to pull out. I was really hoping this cage would be something I could pop my phone in and get shooting, but that is absolutely impossible.

Question for anyone that owns this- would you trust the cage as a case you can carry daily? I have a solution for reducing/preventing scratches, but any thoughts on basic impact protection?

Me please. I been trying to get smallrig to make an addition to this cage so you can clamp on an SSD onto the back of the iPhone. All the other options they have place an SSD sticking out perpendicular to the cage which is not only unsightly it’s just not a neat solution in my opinion. Please tell them too!!!
One of the reasons we use our phones for photos and short videos so regularly is that it’s convenient it’s in our pockets all the time. But once you add ND filters, SSDs etc etc you’re building up a rig that fast moves away from that convenience of putting it in your pocket. So if we could clip the rig to a belt like using the PeakDesign clip then suddenly you can move around with your rig setup ready to go easily all the time. But to do that we need some mounting points on the back of the cage too and that’s where I think you can kill two birds with one stone with a kind of plate to hold the SSD onto the phone while providing mounting points to add quick release plates for a belt clip etc.

How did you get the vnd to cover all the lenses or at least the two pime lenses? when I got mine the vnd mount would only cover one lens because the mount point was too far off. Yours looks like it is centered properly. Turning the vnd mount to cover like you have it, the mount would all off every time I used the vnd...? Having this issue makes run n gun impossible. Your always haveing to change the vnd to the other lens otherwise the vnd cover a lens when you swap from either main lens.
