As the owner of a 914-6 in Irish green, That is held together with some duct tape. Magnus was the first guy to say to me. "I love the duct tape " and meant it. Such a personable man.
    Go Magnus Go. Big fan.

I agree with you guys. I love the 924 own an 87S and a rare 88S Special Edition. Both unique in their own way. Not as fast as my 911 but I drive and enjoy them for what they are and how they make me feel. Bottom line, if it's a Honda a 350Z or VW bug, drive, own and enjoy what you love.

I have a belief that to get into classic cars you need to love it, and Magnus loves it. Unfortunately so many people are into the old Porsches for investment purposes.
I am driving 30 years and through hard work and long hours I have owned a lot of nice cars, not super valuable but good cars. 90% have been German and RWD, currently a have a couple of Porsches (993/924s) and a daily diesel Mercedes!
If u are into them for the right reasons doesn’t matter about values:)

"That's one of the great things about Porsche, their easy to customize and tweak." Yeah, so easy to customize, all you had to do was start a clothing brand, become rich, buy a rare car, paint it the colors you wanted, design your own wheels, manufacture said wheels, then throw them on the car.

Thanks Magnus and Petrolicious! After having driven a lot of different 911's from all era's, I recently had the opportunity to drive a 928gts. I had driven a 944 years ago, but that car was in bad shape and the situation didn't dictate a proper "hooning." So I considered the 928 to be my first true front engine Porsche experience. I was blown away. Even with the automatic transmission that car was much more responsive and handled way better than I thought it would. I seriously underestimated that car's abilities. I now plan on adding a proper front engine Porsche to my garage as soon as I can. If you love Porsche's and haven't driven a 928, 944, 965, etc, I highly recommend you do, in any of it's variants. Thanks again Petrolicious! Cheers Magnus, thanks lad!

This guy never gives credit to the actual people who do the work on the cars, watching any videos about him you would think he did everything himself. That would be ok if he was some high level tuning engineer or stylist, but he just picks out a handful of fairly banal tweaks.
    Good self promoter tho.

    • @Crayfish3D
      @Crayfish3D 6 лет назад +33

That he doesnt deserve the profile he has compared to real car builders and tuners who do amazing work of their own with small budgets and little to no credit. He has done extremely well though in building a brand from scratch out of his name and marketing it to rich people with a very simple set of modifications. So good for him I guess, but I personally just dont see the profile he gets on these motoring channels as deserved.

Here in Germany the 924, 944 and 968 don't get much love in the Porsche community, but I gotta say I don't really get why that is. They are, regardless of their relatively low power, very good drivers cars with pretty much perfect weight distribution. One day I really want to buy a 944 and build it into a real understatement machine. Leave the outside stock, stiffen up the chassis, give it a limited slip diff, modern brakes, maybe half a rollcage in the back, some agerssive rubber, maybe even swap in a modern Audi engine.

968 is hardly 'unloved'. Prices for good examples have been fairly steady over a large number of years. Sure, it's not as loved as the 911, but it holds its own against 'regular' cars.

Mangus has done what so many Gear Heads dream of with their automotive passions and has gotten Famous for it.
Not everyone is going to like the man who has fashioned himself as an “Outlaw” of the Porsche “rules” and regulations that (unwittingly) have governed the marque.
I see the myriad of videos (like this one) done on him driving around public roads like a dread-locked madman and I do worry about his fate…
I hate to see him end up like Jimmy Dean did.
Who was just as passionate about his “Little Bastard” 505 Porsche Spyder at the time of his legendary death.
    video.startribune.com/porsche-crashes-during-twin-cities-media-event-with-our-reporter-inside/323095071/
I just hope and pray he doesn’t get himself or others killed the way that he drives.
Many have had a litany of negative comments about this self-promoting stylized “Urban Outlaw” over the years and I’m sure that will continue about his butchering up Porsche cars in the manner that suits him personally best.
Nevertheless, Magnus continues to expand his scholarship and passionate driving experiences on the Porsche culture as one of its most fascinating Loved & “Unloved” characters among its varied ranks.

Met Magnus a few years back now, top guy. I own a couple of 924 turbos and i have to say out of all the Porsche I have owned (356, 911,912,914,944,928, Cayenne) and driven it is my current favourite. There has alway been something about a turbo charged Porsche that was special and I dont believe the 924 turbo is any different. Currently they are still affordable (UK Prices hitting £15K for a good road car) they are still out there but they were produced in such small numbers they are quite the rarity. Cheers Woolie

I have a 77 924, had an 81 931 updated to 937 spec, owned by Jim Pasha right before me. 215 HP, top mount IC, full koni. Treatment & 951 front brakes... Was a bloody good ride. My personal best time on the 400 turn Hwy 2 was 38minutes with toP GPS speed 154mph yes in the 937.....

Forget Magnus Walker...he ruins Porsches.is Walker in the peerage? Why do we know who he is?
I lived in the same hood for years with this fool riding around. Him & Vincent Gallo.
The best 911, was a 1973 911t, located in Colorado, in my possession, shared by a father & son who hand painted it with silver house paint. Brush strokes sere visible. This was a club car, street legal used in races, known as the Gray Ghost & 500 car.
Gray is hard for other drivers to see, this 911 was sick af, it is the Anti Porsche.

The wv 924 is unloved but not a GT, thats rare.
I thinknit was called 924 Turbo GT here, the engines didnt like being turbocharged, but i think people still kept a GT if the had one.
A Porcshe 944 is begining to be exoensive, A turbo crazy expensive, but BMW M3 is also very exoensive tiday, anything M really.
Those wv bases SUVs dont counts as porsches i think, i understand they sell alot if these bullshitcars on the name only.
The Boxter may be the new 911, as its mid engine Porsche can build a more refined cas out if it.
More suVs ir fourdoor cars fir mistly USA will kill the brand i think.
Buy a friggin VW Touareg instead.
But now a Lamborghini SUV, i get that americans have rhe money but building cars for their taste will not be good in the lobg run, nobody in Europe almost wants american cars at all, now destroying even the sportscars i dont know.
Theres a reason nobody buys american ordinart cars here, rhey sucks.
I like how he say englush and australuan as different kanguages:-)
Still really nice car, good to see.

What is it with porche?? Now let me say that porche are serious pieces of machinery i get that but when it comes to looks they are butt ugly! Those personal wheels magnus has look like cheap Lego and they say a boxster engine sounds intoxicating 🤮😱 are you serious??? A v8 engine or v10 or 12 definitely sounds amazing but a boxster i dont think so! Any engine that revs high will sound good but compared to a v8 or higher is what sounds good!! As i said engineering wise they are orsum but besides that there just butt ugly! For me their are 3 things a car needs 1. Looks great
    2. Sounds great 3.goes great! Porche only tick one box for me! Except their hyper cars were they use v10s or v8s!! For me the only porche i would buy is a 918 or carerra gt the rest are just girls cars! Cute little boxes!!! 😎😉
