I really enjoy the channel that uses Joshua Graham to give genuinely good life advice about taking care of yourself or at least have a better mindset about dealing with difficult times. Hearing chief here give us all encouragement is something I'm glad to see and hear as well.
@That One Long Haired Guy the AI itself is just a tool, but the words of encouragement are real. It just happens to come from a person who I genuinely believe wants to spread some good and positivity in the world. And he used one of our childhood heroes to do it.
On the one hand, it makes me sad to think of how many people there are who are so alone that they have to resort to AI life coaches. On the other hand, this is freaking awesome and I love it. This sounds like how he acted in books and how he should have been in the games rather than just mostly being a bland boring character barely showing emotion until 4 which was awesome especially talking within the game rather than just cutscenes showing the chief still has his humanity within him and still being a badass among badasses like his equivalent arbiter.
This video felt like finally reaching anor Londo and finding that bonfire with solaire beside it. Like an old friend catching up with you even though it's been years. It was comforting and heart-rending but most importantly inspiring

Growing up with Chief and aiding him throughout his adventures makes this hit 10x as hard. As odd as it sounds he's been my biggest role model in life as he's somebody I strive to be strong, brave, courageous, selfless and unwavering in the face of impossible odds. Thank you Chief for allowing us to have your back in your incredible journey and thank you for having ours in the most troubling of times.
Last year, i went through the biggest shake up to my life thus far. I was taking care of my grandmother, and she was in bad health for a while, and then one day it all came to a point. She was diagnosed with dementia, and her physical health was getting to where it was beyond my care, or anyone in the families. She went into assisted living, and in order for her to get the place she has now, she had to sell the trailer we were staying at, i tried to find my own apartment to live in, but i ran out of time and had to stay at a homeless shelter, none of my other family would let me have a place to stay, and my own father wouldnt even let me sleep on his living room floor when i asked for it. Claiming "he didnt have the room for me" and since he realized that he offered me an alternative, and told me "i cant let you stay in the house, but ill put you up a tent in the backyard." couldnt even find friends to let me couch surf, even though i was working. It was the loneliest and most depressing situation i had ever been in. And hearing this just made me wanna cry, because i pulled myself out of the homeless shelter, got into my own apartment, found a better job, and i recently just got together with one of my long time friends, and i feel like i finally got acknowledged for my efforts. It hits on an emotional level, because the people i grew up with, the ones i relied on the most weren't there for me, and it crushed me. But it also made me realize im stronger than i think i am, and hearing chief say these words, really helps reinforce that thought. Thank you

My alcoholic father committed suicide last year on October 18 2022. I went no contact with him in 2020 due to his toxic behavior. It's been really hard not having a role model or a father figure in my life. Fuck man this hits hard just having a voice like MC say something I wish my actual deadbeat father had said to me.
I was getting scammed for 5 years I finally had the courage and say enough was enough of me getting scammed by fake people out there and I finally stopped talking to them and I'm moving on to be happy with the life I'm given

Cried when I watched this for the first time. I have lived over 40 years and 3/4 of it with depression. It has been so hard.
I’ve had depression since 5th grade In 2007. And it hasn’t gotten better.

Growing up with Chief and aiding him throughout his adventures makes this hit 10x as hard. As odd as it sounds he's been my biggest role model in life as he's somebody I strive to be strong, brave, courageous, selfless and unwavering in the face of impossible odds. Thank you Chief for allowing us to have your back in your incredible journey and thank you for having ours in the most troubling of times.
Last year, i went through the biggest shake up to my life thus far. I was taking care of my grandmother, and she was in bad health for a while, and then one day it all came to a point. She was diagnosed with dementia, and her physical health was getting to where it was beyond my care, or anyone in the families. She went into assisted living, and in order for her to get the place she has now, she had to sell the trailer we were staying at, i tried to find my own apartment to live in, but i ran out of time and had to stay at a homeless shelter, none of my other family would let me have a place to stay, and my own father wouldnt even let me sleep on his living room floor when i asked for it. Claiming "he didnt have the room for me" and since he realized that he offered me an alternative, and told me "i cant let you stay in the house, but ill put you up a tent in the backyard." couldnt even find friends to let me couch surf, even though i was working. It was the loneliest and most depressing situation i had ever been in. And hearing this just made me wanna cry, because i pulled myself out of the homeless shelter, got into my own apartment, found a better job, and i recently just got together with one of my long time friends, and i feel like i finally got acknowledged for my efforts. It hits on an emotional level, because the people i grew up with, the ones i relied on the most weren't there for me, and it crushed me. But it also made me realize im stronger than i think i am, and hearing chief say these words, really helps reinforce that thought. Thank you

I literally haven't cried in years, and this is the first time I have in a long time. I hate the fact that the only way for people to get comfort now is videos like this, but this just feels so personal as it just is about things everyone struggles with. Thank you for making something so great.

First time someone told me they were proud of me
My alcoholic father committed suicide last year on October 18 2022.
I went no contact with him in 2020 due to his toxic behavior.
It's been really hard not having a role model or a father figure in my life.
Fuck man this hits hard just having a voice like MC say something I wish my actual deadbeat father had said to me.
I was getting scammed for 5 years I finally had the courage and say enough was enough of me getting scammed by fake people out there and I finally stopped talking to them and I'm moving on to be happy with the life I'm given

Dude. These are the words I never knew I needed to hear as a kid. I have always kind of accepted loneliness and sadness as a normal part of life, but FUCK this video brought a guy in his twenties to the verge of tears. Even if this was uploaded as a joke, it honestly helped me way more than it should have. Thanks man.
