If only we have thermal and night vision HUDs and scopes for rifles I don't understand why helldivers are supposed to be elite they should have access to any equipment that can increase there survivability not just guns and armor.
I realized that the players that complained the most about the spawn rate were the players that would aggro every enemy they saw and would just stick around to fight way to much even when they were caught in the reinforcement loop. You can take out the hulks from the front with a grenade launcher by firing between the legs and hitting the back vents with the AOE damage
@@newspiked7385 works very well when you get comfortable with the shot. I actually do this with regular grenades and the grenade pistol as well when I'm not running auto cannon
I loved this planet so much. Usually hate not being able to see anything but something about the low visibility of this planet + green made it awesome especially at night

I learn a lot from watching you execute little tips and tricks combined with strategized loadouts and it helps me convey that info to my brother. He is a very important person in my life and tbh he is the one that got me into Helldivers so it means a lot that we both have something we can take seriously and take time to learn and progress with. GL can't really reach them, and without an answer to these things, I won't be able to take out the facilities. Maybe someday, I can try it in a co-op run with teammates I can trust.
I love the GL on both bugs and bots, and it does struggle against gunships, but it can be done. I've started to bring Eagle Smokes to cover the hellbomb. In and out as quickly as possible, then minimal gunships to deal with.
Love the solo gameplay! My last solo dive was with the free railgun so I was using the scorcher exclusively for the gunships. There were three gunship fabs all within detection range of each other lol. Full cleared and extracted but had 4 deaths. Always learn a lot watching your solo runs. Thanks for posting!
Yeah, Scorcher seems the best choice for covering gunships if you're using the Railgun, tried it with the Dominator as well but felt harder to aim. 3 gunship fabs, oof, gj clearing it!
If you’re willing to take a recommendation for a solo bot loadout to use in the future, might I suggest the Diligence Counter Sniper, Jump Pack, Laser Cannon, and Grenade Pistol? It’s one of my favorite loadouts. If the jump pack isn’t required the Auto Cannon can sub for the Laser Cannon, and doing that allows you to take a different secondary.
I definitely like the DCS, that reminds me I wanted to do a run with the DCS and Spear. Laser Cannon isn't so much my jam though, though I know it's good!
@@newspiked7385 Oh yeah the Spear is quite good paired with the DCS in a group setting where you can just be long range overwatch, but solo you’re a bit unbalanced. Still very fun tho. And yeah, I’m not a huge fan of the Laser Cannon either, but running the DCS with the AMR feels redundant, the Railgun can’t handle the big stuff, and the other weapons all deprive me of my sweet sweet jetpack. Laser Cannon is the only jetpack friendly option, sadly. Hopefully they’ll buff the railgun, and once they do I’ll swap to that in a heartbeat.
Pretty sure your position on the map only influences the angle of orbital strikes. Airstrikes are always angled because they carry the momentum of the Eagle
Hey spike your my favorite horde shooter channel and I was wondering if you have ever played red solstice 2 survivors. It has a lot of similarities to hd1 in that it's isometric and twin stick but this ones got more complex rts controls too and more mechanics and also 8 players max. You should try it out and record some gameplay of it if you do end up liking it
I played a bit of Red Solstice 1 with some friends, seemed like an interesting game but didn't really sink its hooks into me. Reminded me a little of Alien Swarm, which I used to play back in the day as well. Maybe I'll give it a go, just so much to play! I think the next big thing I'm waiting for is Space Marine 2, but maybe I'll start mixing up content on the channel before then. Been feeling the urge to get back into Sifu as well, not a horde shooter but a pretty cinematic game that I think will be cool for viewers watch as well.
I'm not on anything fancy, graphics card is a 3060 and I'm only managing around 60fps or so, sometimes lower on really foggy maps. I just grew up playing on potatoes so this is more than enough for me, I think the rendering process for these videos can smooth out the recording a little as well.
There is one thing I don't understand. Sometimes I play solo and the maximum I can achieve is level 3 - the whole map, objectives - no problem, I don't die - extraction is a pain. Whole hordes of mobs come at me and I somehow manage to keep that one life. How is it possible that at level 9 you basically have it empty during extraction? Am I missing some hidden mechanic?
Are you destroying all the outposts? Basically the game will try and spawn patrols from the direction of the nearest outpost, but if you destroy all outposts like I always do for the all clear, it can only spawn at the nearest map edge. But since there's a minimum distance from the player where it can spawn patrols, if your extract is at the edge of the map, you're effectively blocking all patrol spawns. So yeah, doesn't take much to take out bot outposts, and it can make extract way easier.

Eruptor seems to be completely overpowered, it's like an autocanon in your main slot. I guess I would prefer that full auto SMG as secondary tho, more useful in emergency situations, and nails smaller enemies with ease. Eruptor and AMR are for anything else.
Eruptor's great utility, I don't think its damage is all that special these days tho. Yeah, Redeemer is a good shout for stuff like Berserkers, I just love the Senator too much!

Hi everybody, sorry if the question has been asked several time, i am wondering how do you do the little trick, throwing the S.E.A.F missile further away ? I know by grabbing it an dropping it you dont have to walk the slow walk but what about the football kick that throws it further away ? Would really appreciate to get that pro tips ! So walk past the shell a little, pick it up, then drop it before it reaches your hands, by switching weapons. The faster the shell is moving when you drop it, the further you'll throw it
Not sure about exact percentages, but honestly pretty high now for bots because of how straightforward you can play things with stealth. I've stopped restarting maps, so this was my first try on this map, probably 3rd attempt at a solo run after a couple of early deaths. If I don't go for deathless, I think it'd be basically 100% success rate since I'd have at least 5 lives to play with, that's pretty much how it goes in Coop as well, haven't failed a mission in ages. Bugs are a lot more challenging to solo currently, as you have to deal with a lot of enemies coming at you, and it's harder to play hit and run when so many enemies can keep up with you. On the flipside, bugs are much simpler in coop I feel, whereas bot missions can get very messy in coop if the team can't maintain stealth, so there's an interesting contrast there.
Feels like Diff 6 is much more harder than 9. Less opponents, patrols, and bots do not summon dropships(extraction), wtf. If at least 1 bot survive for 1,5 sec - insta summon dropships.
I'll believe it when I see it, think it's more a matter of how fast you move, if you notice I do get plenty of bot drops in this mission - I'm just never sticking around to fight the enemies when they're dropped, strike those outposts fast then move onto the next objective.

Acid storms degrading all Helldiver and Enemy armor effectiveness would be super cool, give us an excuse to use any weapon we want for fun.

Today I learned that it's an "Anti-MateriEl" rifle and not "Anti-MateriAl" rifle. Because "materiel" refers to military equipment. Wow.

Does the stealth perk stacks with the stealth armor?
Haven't tested it but it does feel like they stack.

For some reason after I complete a mission nothing but Berserker patrols spawn

I think my best Artillery was 3 mini nukes a high explosive and an explosive
