- Solo Helldive, Max Difficulty Lvl 9, all objectives (Main + Optional) completed, all nests destroyed, no deaths
Modifiers: Atmospheric Interference (Orbital Scatter increased), Complex Stratagem Plotting (Call-in Time +50%), Rainstorms
Planet: Gacrux
Patch version: 1.000.403
I've run the GL + Supply backpack combo in a few of my videos already, but this is a first for a solo run - and it performs perfectly for a run-and-gun playstyle. Also loving the new swamp biome for its atmosphere and unique challenges, the dense canopy getting in the way of strikes and enemies alike.

Build:
The GL is an exceptional weapon, taking out crowds of medium enemies and bug holes with ease, and with the recent damage buff it can take out Chargers within one mag as well - make sure to aim for the unarmoured lower part of their asses. Its wider AOE and ability to reload on the go give it a slight edge over the Autocannon, though its lower structure damage hurts it somewhat.
Its one drawback? It's very ammo hungry, which is where the supply backpack comes in. This will let us stay topped on not just ammo, but stims and nades too, letting us spam those stuns and stim at the slightest damage taken, meaning even with light armour we can tank a lot of damage. Not having to worry about calling down resupplies every couple of GL mags means we can stay on the move and outmaneuever spawns with ease.
That plentiful ammo supply benefits the Liberator Carbine too, which chews through ammo like a flash - in return it offers good burst DPS if you can keep that recoil under control, made easier if you take a recoil reduction armour too.
The Bushwacker I'm undecided on for this build - while it can come in handy for its ability to stagger and interrupt certain attacks, other sidearms like the Redeemer can offer better burst damage and a faster reload, whereas something like the Grenade Pistol or Senator give you a medium AP option. The Bushwacker's ammo efficiency isn't quite so valuable when we're chugging resupplies as often as this build does.
Stun nades are an absolute lock though - with the GL replacing the need for any damage nades.
As this operation had the Orbital Scatter modifier, I'[ve gone with the Eagle Airstrike for AOE / Charger groups, and the 500kg subbing in for the Orbital Precision Strike for Titans / Research Stations.

the way you completed that fuel pump objective is a piece of art.
17:30 nothing much more satisfying than mag-dumping absolute hell into a stunned stalker x great vid as always
It's the little things in life
There are little gas vents on this biome that will explode and set fire to the ground around them for about 20 seconds if they take any kind of damage, explosions or otherwise. That's what happened at 34:40
Ah, that explains it
[Swings from a vine into the back of Pelican One.]
Peak democracy spread by one of the best Helldivers out there. Thx for sharing, Admiral Spiked
*"Paint It, Black" by the Rolling Stones gets very loud*
Pelican loudspeaker upgrade when?
This wouldn't have been possible before the most recent spawn change where they even further reduced the numbers of the biggest enemies in favor of the smaller ones.
You already had one occasion (at least) where you had nothing to deal with a heavy enemy and then at the end it was only the SEAF that carried.
That spawn change was really good to encourage more support weapon variety.
@@MrRolnicek Think before the change I would have had to bring 500kg + OPS /Autocannon Sentry / Railcannon Strike. Nice to not need 2 anti-BT strats now tho.
The fight at the fuel station was 🤌
Wow spiked, your commentary while playing the game has improved massively!!
Ah I record these after the game, my multitasking isn't quite up there yet!
15:28 Duck Tales moon theme. That poor bug was just trying to say hello
I was just saying hello back!
Nice run. Always fun watching you play. Thanks for the videos
Thanks for watching!
Damn, triple stalker nest when you decide to run a build that’s weak to stalkers. Lady Luck was not on your side, huh
Its a good thing that Lady Liberty was there to back him up.
Tier 5 upgrades are out! Can't wait to see them in your hands!
They look great! Time to grind...
Great Ending!!
actual gameplay footage of STALKER 2
26:18 theres an idea for a mission objective; diving (underwater). maybe have helldivers hop into a bell and drop them into a lake to collect information for super earth. and of course fight off any endemic wildlife
I’m curious to see if it will be a more consistent bile titan kill when they add the bile chargers and their respective death explosion. Great video man.
Another great upload by Captain Spiked! Not sure if you mentioned this in your videos, but besides the numerous Behemoth Chargers, what do you think about the patrol spawn rates after their latest "fixed" patch? It feels the same / worse to me, or maybe I just got worse at the game 😂
The patrols definitely feel either the same or worse, so at least someone noticed.
Hard to say, the only real difference I notice is that Bile Titans seem rarer, even in coop it's a lot rarer to get those multi BT spawns anymore. Otherwise enemy spawns / patrols etc. seem just as plentiful as before
@@newspiked7385 So it's not just me! I think the number of BTs is just nice now but the reduction in their numbers is now offset by the increased number of Charger Behemoths 😵
And the patrols feel the same to me too. Good to know it's not just me feeling this!
@@abewear2882 phew at least i'm not the only one
Everyone gonna be grabbing all the samples again 😂 level 5 ship upgrade ftw
New Spiked !!! Always a pleasure
Which new ship upgrade are you going for first?
I went for the support weapon reload first, then I think the buffed explosions will be next!
@@newspiked7385 Read my mind! Given we're on bots right now and I mainly use AMR, I'm going for explosion first, but reload speed is up next!
Supply pack + space meth is absolutely more tanky than the shield. And you have a bunch of grenades and ammo.
i think if they made the carbine one handed, it would one not really be that much of a stretch, and two give players an actual reason to pick it over other primaries
Eh, think it would look a little odd, think it does have a place when compared with the other ARs too, better burst DPS but higher recoil. ARs are just niche vs bugs since so much fighting is close range that the shotties are ideal in most situations.
Anyone know how he does that thing with the seaf shells where it just launches? That aside great content as always
Move ahead of the shell, pick it up then immediately drop it by switching weapons before it reaches your hands
It's lucky that helldivers have insane cardio, or maybe it's just all the drugs
The biggest issue I have with the GL is the ricochet and not knowing what affects it. I have a suspicion close range and angle affects it.
I’ve ricocheted on a charger’s butt, on the tiny flea jumpers, on hive guards, on basically everything you can 😂
It's simply range afaik. If the target's too close, it'll ricochet, so don't fire at targets within a couple of metres of yourself.
I really like this map but it can be a real headache because it kills frame rate in group play when there is a lot of spawns on the map to the point of lagging and rubber banding
i take the bushwhacker on most missions for the cool factor and i have to admit its not too good gameplay wise
im terrible with bugs so i play bots more often. its good at keeping zerkers off your ass and comes in handy when you wanna panic shoot a devastators face or a few troopers, but it really doesnt do much in the way of that. theres nothing that puts it above the senator, smg or even the peacemaker pistol...
also this is just a personal problem of mine but for some reason my muscle memory or something from playing metro 2035 keeps carrying over and everytime i go to shoot the thing i expect four shots to come out and only get three. maybe its the idea that "they put more barrels on this shotgun"
Yeah, I think they could lean a little more into the stagger maybe if they don't want to push the damage further. It's definitely got the cool factor tho :)
I haven’t played helldivers in a bit what planet is this???
Gacrux, it's in the description - they added a few planets on both fronts with this biome!
I think the carbine should get an increase in its magazine to 60 bullets and feel like a short range stalwart. Right now it feels a bit tight on the ammo and doesn't fulfill the role of an AR bullet hose. Either that or give us 2 more mags.
I feel like the knight performs better in a similar role.
Larger mag would bring it closer to the old HD1 Patriot, my beloved...
Did you ever try out the arc build again? I'm not sure it would be any good now that the super chargers are so common but it was at least fun.
No, I think the Arc Thrower's one of the slower Charger kills now, and no longer stunlocks Hulks either. Was never really my favourite playstyle but I wanna try it out again anyway, so maybe today!
@@newspiked7385 I think even just the blitzer would complement the grenade build well. It staggers stalkers and spewers and can clear chaff.
@@Shorn_ yeah, Blitzer's great especially since the ROF buff. It's the Arc Thrower that feels weaker these days, especially compared with the Flamethrower
I've been enjoying the Carbine + Grenade Launcher combo since its introduction. Good for clearing out small stuff that get too close for the GL.
For solo runs, I've run the EATs instead of supply pack for a quick anti-tank solution, especially for frontal charger kills, while still being able to snipe at least one Shrieker Nest.
Supply Pack has been my go-to for GL co-op dives however, but I'll have to try it for solo runs too, especially considering Helldive won't leave much breathing room to sit still for the resupply.
so the water killing you is not enough? you'd like more things in the murderous water that can also murder you? ;P;P
Murder's a game that two can play :)
@@newspiked7385 🤣👀 *insert baby shock gif*
Just got a ps5 to play this game two days ago and it does not disappoint, and I’ve got some grinding to do now that they just dropped new ship modules
take your time, you've a grind ahead of you. most people that have been playing since the start probably don't even have all tier 4s unlocked. none of the tier 5s are so critical that they're must-haves, just nice-to-haves. well.. maybe the mortar one is. mortars are only good for teamkilling otherwise
How many horseshoes did you find up your @ss after you completed this one? 🤯
There was a whole horse up there
