Nice. Apart from thermal mass, and maybe assist vaporizing the fuel, what real advantage is the brake disc providing? Surely the same amount of heat would be produced with or without it? I have built mine in a cast iron stove.

I think this is excellent experimentation. Either the air blast is from a chimney, or we use a blower. The only problem I see with using the hairdryer here is how are you going to dry your hair now?
