This a great home. I plan to be in Mexico next year. It’s a lower cost of living with a better quality of life. 🌺
Thank you! What you said is absolutely correct. What part of Mexico are you looking into?
Great video! We lived in Querétaro from 2016-2019 and loved it. Our rental was almost identical to your house - 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 stories in a fraccionamiento. Our place was in Puerta Real in Corregidora just to the southwest of the Queretaro centro. Back in 2016 our rent was $600/mo but I'll bet it has gone up since then! I would move back to Qro. in a millisecond but some factors are causing a need for us to live in Mexico City right now. Maybe someday!
Enjoy your life as queretanos, felicidades!
Same here, we really loved our time there and plan on visiting again, as well as Mexico City. We enjoy escaping to the big city atmosphere for a few days!
Fabulous!! Louie is precious!!😎
We bought a new home in a small development with 24/7 staffed security in Choula, Puebla. The price was higher than your home, but also has 4bd 3.5ba and roof garden that we had added, but compared to our home in the Central Coast of California it was an incredible deal. We are using it as a second home for now, retirement in about 5 years. My wife is a dual Citizen and I am a permanent resident. This area really fit us after visiting almost every state in Mexico and countless cities, Puebla's and Colonias. Good luck with setting your roots, look forward to more videos!
Wow! We've heard great things about Puebla and was on our list to go very soon, but have a minor hiccup that may make us delay to the early part of next year. We also have the security here, as does every neighborhood in our area, and we almost bought a home with a roof garden, but took the bigger yard for our son and doggies. What do you do with the property when you're not there? Air B&B?
@@dreamlifeinMexico a yard for us would be difficult as we are not in Mexico full time, but the roof garden is great and we have a beautiful view of Popocatépetl volcano. We try and visit often so when we are not in Mexico we simply lock up the house, no renting for us, but when friends or family are going to be in Mexico we make it available for them - Cheers
Awww - my heart ached just a little seeing your beautiful schnauzers (we had to put our 16-year-old down not long ago). Your home is lovely and quite spacious. That yard/patio is great! Thank you for the tour. 🙂
Sorry to hear about your schnauzer, but it seems to have lived a long good life. Thanks for the comment too.
@@dreamlifeinMexico Thanks, he did at that. We have all daughters so he was our boy. We do miss him, but we would not be in Mexico as soon as we will if he hadn't gotten sick.
This is awesome! Many congratulations!
Thank you!
Nice, looks very modern and new and I love the price, nice buy!
Thank you. We were quite shocked at the prices here, in the best possible way!😀
Congratulations! I love it!
We’re glad you enjoyed it!
Love your view, especially the horses!
Hi Roddie, nice house and neighborhood. We're also thinking about moving to Mexico and in Queretaro. Thanks for the introductory videos you made about neighborhoods of the city. Will keep following you.
We’re glad you like our videos. We just try and think what we would have liked to have known and work on getting better at our videos. When are you all thinking of moving?
@@dreamlifeinMexico I'm sending you an email about my plans. 😊
Congratulations guys. I think you have got a huge value for your money.
I love Querétaro😍
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for your support!
We from NJ we planing of moving to queretaro as well… we working on buying a first to be more relax
Congratulations. There are lots of things to consider when buying a home. Make sure you have a good realtor.
Great information. I will check out quretaro
congrats what a blessing
First off: Beautiful home. I really liked the yard area in the back with plenty of greenspace. (Also: the shot with the clouds moving across the sky: pretty cool! Well done!)
Second: I had a few questions. 1) Is your area still experiencing more growth? I noticed that there weren't many shots of other people in this video (like in the background of any shots). Was this done on purpose or are there just not many people in your neighborhood (but you anticipate more)? Second: It seems like Qro. is broken down into neighborhoods. Does each neighborhood have its own groupings of stores, parks, etc.?
Again, great video. This was my first time visiting your channel. I'm going to watch more!
Thanks for the view, Landy shot the moving cloud time-lapse! To your questions in order. Yes, our area is experiencing quite rapid growth, but we shot mid morning so lots of people are working, but we are not as developed as say Juriquillla, but with in a few years it will be like that for sure. There is constant building in our neighborhood and they are starting a new development right across the highway from us. Growth is definitely on the way. In a way yes, QRO is kinda broken down as you mention with each neighborhood being pretty well self contained, especially as you move away from the Centro. Like the are of El Refugio right down the road from us, they have everything you need without having to leave the gates. Let us know if you have anymore questions.
Man, when you dropped that price, I nearly fell out of my chair. Hello from California.
🤣😂yeah, we’ve heard of those Cali prices! Come on down, Mexico is calling! 😀
Welcome to Queretaro. I was going to buy in Alandra, Zakia, but the bank gave me a hard time so I told them where to go. I looooove the park there. It's just beautiful. I just bought a house here in Rincones del Marques. I like it too and it is closer to the city. We should get a beer some time too if you like. Saludos!!!
Thanks! Rincones de Marques is nice too, and I’ve heard working with banks can be difficult here, but glad to hear you got a place. I’m always down for a beer!
Your home is absolutely beautiful. I can't believe you got it for that cheap! And the neighborhood looks so wonderful, clean, and new! This all puts new housing developments here in the states to shame.
Thank you. We were really surprised at the prices here. We started looking in this area to rent but once we saw the prices we decided to take the plunge. Of course the area is not perfect, but we’re quite happy here.
thank you!
You're most welcome!
Your house has the bamboo staircase nice! Did your house get the surround sound system? CAISA is making very nice affordable homes. Congratulations guys!
Hey Romy, yes it did come with the surround sound and CAISA seems to build a good quality home
Nice!!!!
Querétaro has a million of these little white condos. (lots of "areas" means it's small. Cozy)
yeah ours is not very big but still bigger than most townhouses in our area. It is 157M2. Most casas we see here are between 90-120 m2.
Very nice video. You need to decorate the patio walls. Just a suggestion. Peace
You have a beautiful home.
Thank you🙂
Very nice.
Life is apparently more affordable for Americans in Mexico. Your house and community is very nice, could never buy a house that nice for $100,000 in California. Great video. Thanks, Amy
Yes, it’s definitely more affordable. I could only imagine what 100k could get you in most of CA 😅
Hey Louie. Great video! Are you guys able to easily get all things shipped from AliExpress/Alibaba from China there by air and sea?
@@AquarianNick we’ve never ordered from China, so we couldn’t answer, but we’ve never had an issue with Amazon.
@@dreamlifeinMexico Thanks for your reply. Is the Amazon you order from a US Amazon or a Mexico Amazon account? Do you give one-on-one consultation?
@@AquarianNick You can order from the US Amazon site, but you may have to pay a higher prices or pay for shipping, even if you have prime, but we’ve only ordered from the US sites a few times. We can mostly find what we need on the MX site. Let me get back to you on the consultation.
mate, love it! oyu shared nice - farewell,:)
Thank you, very much appreciated!
Your son is such a cutie! Gorgeous home. In all the videos I see of homes in Mexico, all the backyards are completel walled in. Is this for security or to keep out pests like snakes? (Snakes are a huge fear of mine. Huge.) 😆
You have a lovely house and I like the neighborhood. We are coming to Queretaro for the months of Dec and Jan to check out neighborhoods and the different areas. I know this is not housing but what is the weather like in Dec and Jan. Thank you.
Thank you. The weather in dec and jan is cold in the early morning and night, during the day it's warm. We need heater in the cold hours.
I'm native from qro. Very dry and dusty in those months
Greetings! I'm very curious about the closing costs. What were yours and how do they breakdown fee wise?
Abt 8.5 % includes tax and fees.
Very nice. What made you pick zakia over zibata? I'm still looking myself.
The main reason was the green space for our son, and ourselves. While Zibata does have a couple of nice parks they don't compare to the size here in Zakia, and it's slightly closer to town, slightly 😅
@@dreamlifeinMexico appreciate the reply. I was just in Querétaro house hunting. I'm really curious on the real estate I'm going look at your other videos tonight with my wife.
Nice! We have our neighborhood tour out and pt 2 coming out this week. Hope they help
Hello! Your place and area look so beautiful. Is there any public transportation, or do you need to have a car?
Thank you. Jeanetta. There is a bus reach here but it takes some time. You need a car living here.
Nice house! Did you guys use a real estate lawyer an agent etc or bought straight from a builder?
We bought directly from the builder. We did close it at attorney's office which is Notaria.
Your house is in my price range. Are you acting as a real estate agent? I would like to see more of Qrto. I will be in SMA for a week starting march 11
We are not real estate agent in Mexico. Please email us lifewithlouie2020@gmail.com , we can send you to the right people in Querétaro.
Were all your major appliances included in the purchase? Is your home attached or stand alone? What were your closing costs? You stated there are some negatives living there. Would you care to share them. Thanks for the great videos.
In order; includes (except w/d,) attached (townhome style,) approximately 8-9%. Negatives, maintenance can be a little slow in the area, especially in the park areas, and living in a complex, which many neighborhoods are, can sometimes lead to loud neighbors or dogs barking at inopportune times, but that can happen anywhere. Overall, for us, the pros outweigh the cons, and the cons aren't that bad 😎
@@dreamlifeinMexico Thanks for the info.
@@dreamlifeinMexico Those negatives you are gonna have them even if you buy at "El Campanario" which is the most expensive area in Queretaro (Million-s of US dollars homes) but you have to deal with it. In my "condominio" which is what you call them, we have a dog lady, she claims her dogs "scape" and you see them around. We have meetings to address those problems but she is a little "nutty." What are you gonna do, right? Besides that I am very happy here, it's nice and quite. I work from home, walk to the gym have a work out. It's all good. I am so happy here.
@@1EQUALS-INFINITY that is a great outlook to have. Some things are just universal. 🌺
@@1EQUALS-INFINITY that’s true. I had to really think about negatives, and if that’s the worst we have to deal with, I’ll take it!😃
I'm curious, especially since you guys mentioned that you were in real estate, why did you buy when renting is apparently cheaper?
As we call Queretaro as our home in mexico, price is relatively cheaper and low property tax low maintains cost, plus renting here is not easy for tourists as we got some issue renting. So we decided to buy it.
Looks like USA just less expensive, do you paid an HOA for the community you live in?
yes, most places that are enclosed neighborhoods have an HOA fee. Our is a bit expensive, but still very low compared to the USA. About $50 a month.
How is the weather there generally? We are now in Merida for another 5 months but it is scorching hot all the time. And looking for a bigger city, that has everything but not the heat.
Thank you :)
The weather here is really great. I come from South TX and Houston, so I know what scorching, humid weather is like. April and May can be a bit hot, but in the middle of the day for justa few hours. The mornings and evenings here are beautiful, I love the coolness during those times.
@@dreamlifeinMexico oh wow, such a huge difference!
thank you so much!
I come from a rather cold climate, have travelled alot, especially to tropical climates, but Mérida is something else....😭
Well we just do little trips and from November it should be cooling off (as cool as if gets).
When we moved to Mexico we thought about multiple tropical/beach areas, but thought about it and we're not wanting to live in that environment day in, day out. So, we chose a central location and would travel to beach areas for short durations. Best of luck in your search and let us know if you have any other questions. 😃
@@dreamlifeinMexicodidn't choose Mérida for the "tropical climate", i was just making the comparison that i am used to warm weather 😅
Chose Mérida because of the soft landing in comparison from Europe. Were also supposed to move on, if it wasn't for us (which it isn't), but our pet got severely ill, so we were unable to fly again.
So now we are "waiting it out" and then probably moving to Queretaro.
In the meantime exploring where is the better region for us.
Like you said, day in day out is just insane.
Anyways thank you for the reply. ☺️
@@ellisrose8017 Got it!😃 Thanks for the clarification and all the best. As I mentioned, if you'd like anymore info on QRO, let us know.
Are internet and power reliable in Queretaro for one to work from home?
For the most part yes, but there may be more issues around the Centro, but when we lived there for close to a year the power maybe went out 2-3 times. Overall I would say it's pretty good, at least for what we have experienced.
@@dreamlifeinMexico Thank you for your response.
GOD BLESSED YOU WITH A RARE WIFE. YOU ARE BLESSED
Don't I know, but don't let her know that!🤣
Do you speak español? Are your neighbours Mexicans that are purchasing these homes? Are other American and Canadians purchasing in this development? How close is Mexico City is there a bus station close by? Do you need a car or can you walk to the grocery store? Costco in town ? Uber ? I’m looking for place to live I have lived in Puerto Vallarta last year but only rented. Do you only have a 6 month tourists visa and have to return each year ? Medical insurance do you have ? Dental?
Any more questions ❓ We do offer paid consultantion.
What’s the price of the house
Can you please explain how you were able to retire early ?
answer in other video
how much is the property tax and HOA fee?
tax is abt 500usd /year , hoa is abt 90usd /mon
I hope we'll be neighbors soon... 😬
The only downside in Queretaro are the scorpions 😄
In what neighborhood is your home?
we live in an area called Zakia, about 15 min to the Centro.
Perdona, El el Refugio?
Estamos cerca de El Refugio
House price 9:25
Do you need a car to walk to cafes?
From our place it would be a good walk, but there are other neighborhoods right outside, or closer to the plazas.
Great house!!! What about the water? Is safe to drink? If not what do you do? Can you flush toilet paper down the toilet?
Thanks
So, the water seems to be ok in our area, but I still wouldn’t drink it, but we have used it for soups, and we use it for daily cleaning and rinsing. You can buy filtration system of varying prices or just do what most people do, buy large 20 lt bottles of water.again, flushing has not been an issue in our home yet, but that may be because it’s brand new.
@@dreamlifeinMexico Awesome!!! Thanks so much for replying!!
Making plans to move to Mexico and was concerned about that. My first thought was Merida, but I started seeing comments about Queretaro being similar minus extremely high temps and minus intense humidity.
No audio
I just checked. All good on our end. This is the 1st someone has mentioned no audio. Hmm 🤔.
Foreigners can buy properties in Mexico? On what conditions?
Yes, just as in many countries. If your are 50km away from the coasts or border there really are no special conditions. If you live within those special zones then you can still buy, but it has to be in a trust. Have you considered buying in Mexico?
@@dreamlifeinMexico ok, I did not know.
I am Mexican, so. No, thanks.
@@csaracho2009 😂 ok, then you definitely can! Thanks for the question.
The price of this house is a bit expensive I think. For an extra $50k, you could've gotten something a bit better in Zibata.
We prefer Zakia.
@dreamlifeinMexico Even in Zakia, there's really nice houses for 3 million mxn
@@palaciosmiguel87 Well sure there are there, there are also 4-5mil houses in Zakia. But it dosent mean we must buy it. 😇
@@dreamlifeinMexico do you think it's possible to buy a $900,000mxn apartment and be a good investment for airbnb/long term rental?
What ??? $130,000 oh goodness
Yes, it’s really quite amazing!
Which neighbor is it?
Zakia!
Do you have your realtor numbers???

I didn’t see masks. Has the mask mandate been lifted? I sure hope so
I think it’s still in effect, but don’t quote me on that. As you noticed it’s much more open and spacious, so people are a bit more laxed.
