    I have had my avenger in .22 plastic for quite some time now. I’ve had zero issues with it. Here’s my take on the wood, it’s about the aesthetics. Plastic stock bothers a lot of people but if you’re caring it around the woods all day the weight factor is important. After using that Gun for many many hours I know what I can do and I know what the Gun can . I’ll sit down with anybody that’s got a Woodstock and match them hole for a hole , that’s how I feel about it. Like I said the advantage to me of the plastic stock is when you’re carrying it around in the woods there’s a big difference in the weight factor. The squirrels in the stew don’t know if they got shot with a plastic stock or Woodstock
    Everyone was screaming about the stock so they changed it up toward. They also change the price. Buy the plastic and spend the extra money on a pie and scope you won’t regret it

      Most people want the wood stock/we don't walk around in the woods with it anyways !

      @Joe-mr1wn 3 года назад +3

      I have a .22 and .25 with the plastic stock. I bought both when they were selling for $299. The wood stock specs say that the weigh 7lbs and the plastic stock 6.4lbs so weight isn't an issue. Having said that I would still get the plastic stock if I were buying today. The wood stock isn't going to improve accuracy so I would use the $80.00 difference in price to buy pellets.

    @MrBlah3573 3 года назад +4

    I’m sorry to be critical but no you really don’t need a compressor. You don’t need to fill this to 4300. It will work fine at 3-3.5k. You just aren’t going to get as many shots. I know you know this but it misleads new airgunners. I’ve read many pump reviews complaining it won’t get my avenger to 4K. I want to yell..then pump it to 3k it will be fine!! As you stated in the video 2900 on the reg is crazy. You can drop it all the way to 1800 and get 870 out of an 18 gr pellet. Then you can shoot from a 3 k fill down to 1800 and still get a good shot count.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  3 года назад +2

      If you want to get all the shots you can you need to fill to 300 bar. If you are happy to hand pump to less you certainly can. But to to get the most out of this gun, you should take it to 300 bar.
      Cheers

    • @KINGBREAKBARREL
      @KINGBREAKBARREL 3 года назад +3

      When I first bought my avenger I think it took me 180 pumps to get it all the way to 4300 and it wasn't bad... You can use a hand pump for it I didn't even break a sweat and I'm 45 years old 😋👍🎯🎯🎯🎯

    • @heithwatkins
      @heithwatkins 3 года назад +3

      @@KINGBREAKBARREL While I understand you can pump the rifle up. Its a pain in the butt. If you only hunt, this is not a big deal. Target shooting a full tin of pellets is another story. I have hand pumped rifles all day long. Even at 3365 psi max its a pain when shooting targets all day.
      I agree with buying the personal compressor. I bought the Nomad 2.

    This is an awesome rifle. It's starting to look like airguns are going the way of computers, flat screen TVs and cellphones. The technology is trickling down to the lower priced guns.
    Before long you will see a comparison between a $500 and $2,000 dollar gun. And there won't be much difference.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  3 года назад +1

      Heith, I think we are already there. I bought the Daystate Redwolf ($2900) to discuss this very point. At 50 yards, I don't think you'll see much difference. Where the difference will start to play out is when you get to 75 and 100 yards. Can't wait to start sharing that footage.

      Trust me it's not as expensive as he advertised for a compressor and a scope. Unfortunately he is paid to endorse his sponsors products and ignore both the value compressors that are good for about 300 dollars, and the exact same scope as the the 4-14× 44 FFP from Element Optics for 200 dollars under the name Ewiema. Same parts, same scope, same great piece of glass. Just "assembled" in China and yes I get it. However, how many people still buy Honda,Toyota,and Lexus vehicles and use Tik Tok daily but only buy U.S. made products? 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    Just curious, most of my neighbors are anywhere from 100 ft to 300 yards away. They are not 20 ft from my muzzle. Maybe in the future you could show us the db reading from100 ft to 100 yards?? Just curious. Thanks for the informative video.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  3 года назад

      Hey there BC.. I hate doing DB readings because they are so subjective. I've only added them back in because folks want some sort of reference point. I'm at 4600 feet.. so what you may hear at 100 feet or 100 yards at my location, in the wide-open, is not relevant to any other application.. but up close, knowing that I'm getting 106 and other guns may get more or less, that provides a reference point, even if it's a small one. I'll keep doing it this way and if another reviewer wants to take noise level at range, that would be cool for them to do. As a note, at 100 feet, the report of this gun would be minimal.

    I like the looks of a wood gun but i bet if you check with Pyramyd air the synthetic/plastic stock version will out sell this wood by 3 to 1 or more. First it is not offered in .177 Cal and second wood scratches so if you use it a lot they don’t hold up anywhere near as well as the other. I also have decided Pyramyd air is promoting .22 cal more than any other and why I don’t know but most of us who shoot a lot especially back yard and pest much prefer the .177 cal. Keep reviewing what they send you but occasionally ask them for a .177 cal. There are a lot of us out here.
