    Awesome rifle.

      yup, i would go with some thing in the 3000psi , by hand pump. i have a Benjamin maximums .22 pcp its 2000psi to 1000psi and i get 19 good shot BUT I DO HAVE A LEAK AND WILL LEAK 3000psi to 2000psi in 3 hours not not cool to hunt with because of that but i just need to fix it

      @@killer_bro_empireitsme3613 Hope you get it fixed, I finally got my Avenger .25, the first one was delivered to the wrong address. I bought a hand pump, and after I finish painting my front porch gonna pump it up-good luck .

    Anyone that buys one of these really should go through them, I honestly wasn't going to take mine apart however I've already sprung a leak and it was a small shaving of brass in the seat of the poppet. Luckily the shaving didn't cause any damage to the poppet material and enabled me to explore this gun more since I've owned it. All the Chinese built airguns are very poor when it comes to quality control and at the top of the list would be assembling everything clean as a whistle.
    Also I might add that adjusting the regulator is the only thing I've changed from the way the gun came, I set it for 1.9K for my cast 26 grain NOE pellets, the gauge on the gun does read about 100psi low so in reality it's about 2Kpsi. It's giving me about 45fpe with groups at 50 yards in the woods at less than an inch. I never shoot on a range so a person could probably easily get 1/2" groups on a range.

    Maybe I missed it, but did you say how you adjusted the hammer spring? I feel like if you adjusted the hammer spring after the regulator you could have gotten more shots.
    Also, you didn't say what pellets you were using, I'm assuming JSB Kings, 25.4gr? If so, wouldn't 830-880 fps be the "sweet spot" for JSB style pellets? I just got my avenger earlier this month. Haven't had a chance to take it out yet, also waiting for a Hajimoto Strip Stak and DonnyFL Tanto "moderator". Have some slugs on order as well.

    As far as Reg adjustment, I stated with the Reg bottomed out. Then I worked up. No de-airing required. I also wasn’t looking for a power tune. I used a 3600 fill as the Reg was set around 14-1500 psi - I have a .177. I ended up with a tune that makes 16-17 fpe for (850 fps) 100 shot (4350 fill) using crossman premier dome 10.5 grn pellets. This gun is pretty good with this tune out to 50 yds.

    I like the two two shooting around 900 - 950 fps and the one seven seven around 1050 to 1100 fps. Packs a wollup on your prey. With speed to push in.I never fill to 4000psi unless it's a big bore. I fill my hammer only to 4000.

    • @AirGunWeb
      @AirGunWeb  2 года назад +1

      They are so very close out of the box. It comes down to esthetics and shot count. The G2 has more shots per fill but it’s longer, heavier, and has cocking bolt be lever. Again, accuracy and power are margin of error stuff with a small lead in power to the G2. But you can tune the avenger so, Manet no lead at all. Both great guns.

    • @kevinfrederick7956
      @kevinfrederick7956 2 года назад +2

      If you have to type a hammer for the air pressure he will make it playing or a pinging sound but probably won't hurt anything just annoying whereas if the air pressure is higher than the hammer you will lose the explosive air pressure pushing the pallet out the barrel thus losing ft/s and foot-pounds of energy

      Two very different guns with completely differ focus. Do you expect tinker with power settings and other adjustments?? Or, do you want just a really nice gun to target shoot and do small game hunting?
      If you want to tinker get the avenger. If you just want to shoot, get the HW1000.
      Just a note, build quality on the HW100 is vastly superior to the avenger.
