I LOVE that you and Steve are bringing back .177's. I asked for it, and you guys answered. There are a lot of us out here who own .177's.
I'm LOVIN' my JSB BEAST 16.2 .177's.
As always a good and honest review on a rifle that isn’t in the FX wonder land gun. The Stormrider gen 1 in .177 with the reg is amazing even with NSA slugs, 135 bar with a 220 fill = 18 shots on the reg and a 50 yard hunting tool. Will do a dime fairly consistently @ 50 yards, will take fox, coyotes with good shot placement. Avenger is a teaser but a little to heavy.
This morning my rooster (supposed to be a hen from Cal-Ranch), woke me up at 4:30AM again. Lying in bed I heard Ricks voice, enough talking, lets get to shooting! Out came the Maverick and now the rooster is in the crock pot ;-D. Thanks for the inspiration as always rick!
My Avenger is .177 and in plastic. Mounted with a Sightmark Photon RT. It took out a garden raiding rabbit at 70 yards. Wood stocks are heavy and the more equipment you load it down with the heavier it gets. With the Photon RT , an IR illuminator and a bipod put together weigh more than the gun. Mine is as it came ,reg at 2500. It likes slugs , one ragged hole at 50yards. Howelers in .!77.
Am a Dutchie, have the woodstock imported from USA. My.177 feels so much better. Its realy worth it
As always, you have a superb presentation on the rig you're working with!!! Great job man!!!
There's that .177 KO slug thrower!
Always enjoy the vids Rick. Keepem coming brother.
I bought the Avenger in .25 with a wood stock. Very impressed. Plan to get the .22 also.
Available in INDIA?
Thanks brother. Just purchased one from Pyramid Air. Your videos helped me in making the decision to buy it.
You r the man Rick. Your info is honest and straight to yhe point. Love that.
Man the air venturi avenger is sweet. Especially in the wood stock, and I do enjoy shooting a nice.177 And it's so much easier to find ammo in .177 as well. .25 cal and .30 cal are pretty hard to find these days especially at a decent price. Take it easy rick.
You got to have the trigger pull test or your out, except for I like you and your vids,I can see someone will make a metal bipod attachment and a metal trigger and trigger guard, why not.nice show thanks for sharing Rick.have a great day.
I made a walnut stock for mine and show it on my channel. I love the wood avenger!
Hey Sam, could you give me the address to your channel? I'd love to see your custom stock.
@@alfaromeo6985 just click on the icon to go to channel The video was done months ago. Here it is just in case. ruclips.net/video/CZEgYfhEHBM/видео.html.
@@DrSaminstine very nice stock, way ahead of the factory version. I like the rhino lining you did . Have you thought about glass bedding the receiver?
@@alfaromeo6985 that’s a good idea I made the stock tolerances super close but I might see if there is enough room to accommodate. Thanks for the feedback!
Nothing wrong with that Aeon scope Rick. If it works, it works. I have a $28 Barska on my Origin and I have no complaints.
I've got the bullpup avenger in 25 cal. I think I'll pick up one of these 177s as I have about 10,000 plus pellets to use up. Thanks for showing what the small caliber Avenger can do!
Hey Rick. What happened to that 177? Will it ever be for sale? Thanks for all your great videos.
I love the 177cal. It's far and away my favorite. Thanks brother for your excellent video.
The 13.43gr are monsters.....🎯
three days of peace and music
oh took me a minute
I own the .22 model and love other than the plastic stock. I had hoped to be able to purchase a .177 with the wood stock but I guess I will have to purchase a .177 and buy two wood stocks when they become available. Keep the excellent reviews coming!!!
Do you think you could get me one in .177?
Hey Rick, does the wood stock come with the pic rail for the bi-pod, or did you have to put it on yourself ? Love your videos !
That is a nice looking gun with plenty of shots for target shooting or small varments
Ordered mine in .25, should have it by Friday, great price and I’m hoping it’s a great gun. I don’t like the color of the stock so I’m going to refinish it in walnut stain and Tru oil finish.
4000 psi hand pump friendly? I guess it would replace a gym membership?
Beautiful Man!!!!
I have a Wood stock and plastic.22, the wood stock seems to be a bit more stable
There is no better bang for the buck than the Avenger, except maybe the Umarex Origin since they can be had for 249 currently and includes the hand pump.
I have the Origin but not the Avenger. Yet. I want to fit an Origin stock to the Avenger. I'm sure it's not terribly hard to convert. The Origin stock is a lovely thing.
You should do a review with the SaltSWAT attachment for the Crosman 2240. It turns your Crosman 2240 into a super power salt gun to shoot flies and other annoying insects.
Nice review boss. I have this. This air rifle is on 🔥🔥🔥
I have an air arm ts 200 because of you breakbarrel is a monster
Have you tried different weights of slugs in it yet. just curious???
Best reviewer on U tube. Really enjoy your reviews
Great vid man! It's too bad GRS doesn't make a stock for it! ...but that would triple the price!
Any rifle you shoot, they are so accurate.is it you or the gun you choose?Anyway enjoyed watching!!!
10 shots at 50 yards with plastic stock .177 Avenger - 10.5 grn crossman premieres

How did you get your hands on a .177 wood stock?
thanks rick for your great reviews.your review of the zbroia guns gave me the information to buy the tactical from georgia airguns what a tac driver.
I like the wood. I have the plastic but it was only 300.
Another advantage is that the plastic stock stands up to weather... if you live in a hot humid climate it would be hell on that wood stock
True
I love my plastic stock lite weight and with a little TLC it shoots as good as my stream line and my maverick may not be as smooth but for the money it’s hard to beat .O by the way really been missing your trick shots hopefully see some more soon.
And you don't have to baby it. The Avenger is bad ass!!!
How much additional weight does the wood stock put on vs the synthetic stock? The wood looks great but I am reluctant with regard to weight difference. Thanks.
I bought the 25 cal last year.
Hi Rick. Just ordered the 22 gamo swarm maxxim for 179.99.😁
I might have to get one of those. I hear there is a gen 1 and gen 2, but I don't know which is better or why.
Does it have an automatic safety on cock?
@@joshuagibson2520 Gen 2 is better especially the Gen 2 mags and feed of pellets
Have my doubts on long-term quality with a Chinese one-year warranty😰
I just want one that can be sighted in. I recently got got my wood stock .25 cal and because of the mounting rail and barrel droop I can't sight it in. My scope is adjusted all the way up and it still, shoots 5" low
Sir what is size of bolt probe o ring ?
Did you ever find out the size of .177 avenger bolt probe o- ring?
a blackhound 4x14 would be a nice scope for that rifle.
That's what I have to use but my scope is a 10×40×60 and I have my scope is set on 28 and 24 power
Rick do they sell just the stock for us saps who got them last year
Whoooooo!!!!!!
Them avenger loves H&N pellets, mine does in both 22 n 25cal
Love the videos
Dang near 25fpe! Nooice! It really is an amazing rifle. I own the .25 and would buy a .30 if available.
I own the plastic stock avenger in .177. Mine will make 29 FPE with 13 grain monsters @ 990+ FPS. But it really likes 10.5 crossmans out to 50 yds. It will stack’m into a inch at 50 yds.
50 yard 10 shot group:
ruclips.net/video/chFu4LApnTs/видео.html
@@motorgearhead I bought the .25 Avenger but .25 ammo is hard to get so I bought a .22. Now decent .22 ammo is hard to find so I purchased a .177. All three are shooters but I think the .177 is going to be my iguana gun.
My 177 is set up to shoot JSB Beast 16.2 grain @ 883 FPS for 28fpe. Dime sized groups at 40 yards. I'm really happy with the NSA 12.5 grain slugs though. The muzzle velocity for the NSA 12.5s is 955 FPS for 25fpe. The groups aren't as tight as the JSB Beast, about a nickel @ 40 yards, but they hit hard and although they are lighter they handle the wind better than the JSB Beast. I head shot a medium sized green iguana at 21 yards and the entry wound was about the size of the slug but the exit wound blew out the side of it's head.
@@Joe-mr1wn - I need a good entry level .22. I was thinking another avenger but I’ve also been thinking about AEA challenger in 22. It makes huge power. Not sure of accuracy potential as it’s unregulated. But 60-70 fpe is a bunch of smack dab from a .22. More research required…
@@Joe-mr1wn - does your 22 avenger shoot crossman premier hollow points decently?
@@motorgearhead My Avenger shoots them well but the way I have it set up I don't shoot anything lighter than 18 grain. If you can find them I would give the Crosman Premier Ultra Heavy 19 grain a try. My Avenger .22 shots those very well. My favorite pellets for the .22 are H&N 18 and H&N Hunter. I want to try JSB Hades but of course finding JSB pellets is like trying to find the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot and a Yeti.
Rick: Nice job on this demo! And, who cares about thew scope? If you have it, use it!
I have a bunch of extra .177 bolt probe o-rings… let me know if you need some…
Does the .177 not have the adjustable hammer spring and the fully adjustable trigger (you didn't mention either one)?
Yes it does
Lol the owl sounds
Hi. I guess you fill your guns from a air tank? Do you have your own compressor? Use your locale fire station/dive shop? I have been using a handpump, no more, plenty of water inside the gun..
How do you like the aeon scope? What does it compare to?
Sorry, but Utah Airguns is not the place to go. They sold me a defective one and want to charge 25% restocking fee plus shipping in order to get a refund.. Mine shot about 3 feet low and about 1.5 feet to the right at 30 yards. I was all out of vertical adjustments (2 different scopes), still shot 1.5-2 inches low. They first tried to tell me nothing was wrong and tried to up-sell me some adjustable rings.. I don't want to modify, jerry-rig or repair a new rifle.. Don't buy from Utah Airguns, if you get a good one fine, but if you don't they will discourage you and try to force you to keep it, using their 25% restocking fees plus shipping.. About a year ago my friend bought 2 Avengers (plastic) one was fine and one had the same defect as mine..
I bought 2 the first one perform flawlessly second one had the same issues u did I ran two scope through it same problems
same here, will never buy from Utah Airguns again
I had bad customer service with them also
My first Avenger had a scope mounting rail that was way off to the right, the second one is fine.Lots of people had that problem.Other than that they are great guns.I woudnt do business with a company that wants to charge 25% restocking fee on a defective product either.
WOW!
Skinny Mitch airgun channel has a video about the same thing. I think they used adjustable rings to correct it. I wonder if it's mounted slightly off, in the stock?
How could the rail itself be off? But only on some guns.
Hey Jim, thanks for the warning. Charging 25% restocking fee for a defective merchandise is outrageously wrong.
I would love to have that gun but it would take me 3 to 4 months to pay for it
Umm... you can never have too powerful of a scope... especially for that gun.
Normally I don't care for CenterPoint scopes but the CenterPoint 3x12x44 (Model #LR312SFT2) is amazing for $104. I bought a total of four of this model scope. Love the turrets and the mill dot crosshairs. Another feature I like is no illuminated reticle.
Will sling studs fit without modification?
Just a matter of drilling a couple holes and affixing them.
Reg set at 2000 🤔 what is that in bar ?
Guess I have to figure it out for myself, or Google it !!!
137.895 bar
@@shooter1721 If I keep it at 200 regulator bar, my luman energetic xl 13 gr seem to fly. Shall I decrease the regulator,if so how much? I want to shoot 9.64 H&H pellets too.
The Avengers would be most impressive guns at 2.5 X the price. And the wood stock model is still shy of being heavy.
You ask what else could we ask for? In the real world, no thing.
Pale coloured wood looks terrible!
I love the color.
Prices other pcp are just over priced.
Had one. Did not like it. Another leaker. Junk.
