In case you have ever wondered…the wood stock actually does improve the accuracy slightly and the overall harmonics of the gun change also. Either way the Avenger is a win win for the value of what you get. I now own 2 gen 1 Liberty’s and 2 2nd gen Avengers and they all shoot lights out. Optics optics optics my friend. Thanks for the video. Stay blessed.
I shot the same fx hybrid with my nitro piston break barrel at 30yds and they impacted just about 3" below point of aim (scope zeroed at 30yds for 15.89gr jsb hades). After quick elevation and windage adjustments, fx hybrid point of impact was within half an inch of point of aim. It could be that you need to fit the Donny FL attachment to the front of the avenger barrel, as it stabilizes the barrel. The rifle comes with a small plastic screw-in cap, that is why the replacement attachment is available on the market (some suppliers also has the silencer/suppressor that screws directly onto the Donny FL) Remember that the slugs have more surface contact inside the barrel and that could have an effect on it. Maybe I am just lucky that my air rifle can shoot slugs, I don't know. There are some shooters on youtube with good results shooting slugs with the Avenger. I hope this info will be of some help, as the avenger can push a 22grain slug downrange at 635 - 750ft/s based on how the regulator and hammer spring can be tuned. Check out Airgunweb Reviews channel where the presenter does tuning as it is good benchmark to start from. Let me know if you have some success.
You need a chronograph and you need to do something about the magazines that come with the Avenger. I have the same gun and got two legitimate Marauder magazines and there's a world of difference! I turned the regulator down to 1800 to 1900 PSI and back the hammer spring off to 1/2 turn. Shooting the h&n field Target trophy at 14.6 grain 50 yd all within one inch. Then I grabbed the terminators from h&n, turn the hammer spring up one and a half turns because they weigh 16.4 grains and again at 50 yards all within an inch. You'll learn as time goes by but a chronograph will be your eye opening education :-)
SA hunting says most pellets/ slugs can't do tight groups with that magazine . Single tray is fine with them .. magazine is the culprit . Shoot with those who work ....
Was wondering how many you shoot before refilling gun? At what pressure do you stop and refill? Great shooting brother! You have a hella place to go shooting.
Hard to say exactly but i believe I get around 50 shots before i noticed any loss in velocity. Usually get 60 decent shots easy with my tune. Thank you. Im very fortunate to have a nice spot to target practice.
You have to realize that a 25 grain pellet is a lot heavier than the 18 grains. I shoot the rabbit magnums and they shoot decent to ok, but I have to turn the hammer spring up 1 to 1 and a qtr to push those rabbit magnums. I have my gun set to push 18 grains @ 940-945 FPS and thats not at full power. As far as slugs I use the H&N 217/218 21 grains and they are pretty accurate. I zero all my guns @ 50 yrds and I get good groupings. Like you said every guns shoots different. What might be good for you gun might not be good for mine or someone else gun. Happy Shooting
@@outcastoutdoors4518 First thing to do is adjust speed to 850 FPS and minimise extreme spread and standard deviation ! When you have founde the pellet that gives the best harmony, then start playing with barrel harmonics ! Tuning PCP totally different to tuning a springer ! Start by pushing a pellet through the barrel checking for tight spots and see what head size your barrel needs. This will save tons of time and pellets !
What should we expect from the Air Venturi Avenger? I have experience with five different Avengers in .22. One had a POI change that was erratic and unpredictable. Nothing seemed to work to correct the problem. The group would unpredictably jump three inches to the left but without changing the scope setting and after several shots the group would shift to the original POI. Strange behavior that I could not correct. Another of the five had a barrel that shot so low and right that I did not have enough scope adjustment. Scope shimming was not an option due to stressing the scope tube. Numbers three, four and five had regulator leaks. Those Avengers were the new baffle models that leaked 200 PSI in seven minutes and increased to 600 and 800 PSI over night. Is there a manufacturer’s defect in the new baffle models? Since the Avengers are a budget model and defects should be expected however all five in my experience were beyond tolerable defects. My air rifles and supplies are bought from Pyramyd Air and have not experienced the Avenger problems with other Chinese air rifles. The Gauntlet is a prime example. The Avenger baffle models were accurate on the bench but very unpredictable on the regulator while hunting. Even with all the problems, I am looking for an Avenger .22 that works with tolerable defects. The Avenger sounds like a good hunter.
Mine has actually been wonderful. I use it for hunting very often. I did notice I had a small leak and it ended up being the discharge screw. Tightened it a quarter turn and everything has been fine since. I just think everyone needs to find a pellet at that fits their tune and rang expectancy. Some pellets that work great in the avenger do poorly in my other rifles. I think someone has said this before but I'll say it again. You definitely need to check to make sure everything was tight on the avenger. And double check scoop mounts and rails .
Bout to buy this gun and saw your video. Was wondering if you have shot any of the polymags in it I would like to see how they do in it cause it's my go to pellet In my stormrider
I like that gun it's in my price range I would probably go with the 30 maybe the 25 I do have a Beeman R9 in 22 that takes care of the biggest raccoons on the Earth stealing my fish
Mines a .25 and it hits like a sledgehammer! Absolutely love it. Hole in hole groups at 30 yards using Jsb Exact Kings 25.39 grain. Donny barrel adapter, Donny Tatsu moderator, and barrel band from bonucci goods. Happy Shooting!
I am worried for us (I have the same gun wood stock). I can shoot super tight groups with 18gr or less. I get good groups with the 21 & 25 grain pellets. But slugs go all over the place (.218 size) using the power tune (see aeac tuning vid). Those fx hybrid slugs are suppose to be real good out of this gun? Thanks for the video. Ps, get yourself a chronograph and tune the reg/hammer to 820-870 fps for the pellet you're shooting. You will get amazing accuracy for this gun.
Good shooting and all but bro you’re out in a pine forest in the scorching heat? Did the deer flies 🪰 get you? You ever get bit by one???😆 they’re awful. Thanks for the video though. Be safe 💪🏾
@@outcastoutdoors4518 Hey, yes, i bought the. 22 avenger and put silencer on it. But its still 80db loud instead of 100db. Its ok, but not silent. Very accurate on 25m! I cant shoot on longer distances here. I shoot with jsb exact pellets and a hawke scope on a sled with the lowest pressure settings. The only thing, as a ARifl beginner, that makes me a little bit confused is, having accuracy problems after 2 weeks of not shooting. I have to zero in the scope every time from scratch.
@@outcastoutdoors4518 i bought the donny fl adapter and put a 3d printed one on it. Thanks for your advice, maybe i should also put locktite on the screws.

Great video! getting better , need an umbrella, you can almost see the heat coming off the rifle..
No kidding. It was getting serious out there 😬
Cool video. Spit my coffee when you said melting. Lmbo.🤣
😂. It was really hot though 😂. I work outside all day and it was still surprising me how extreme that sun was that day .
turn your hammer spring in 5 1/2 turns from out for the pellets that are more grains. ultra shock heavy 25,39 grains are jbs.

Use your target space better like middle, left, right, top and bottom!
Would like to see this same test with slugs added in.
Hopefully I'll get some time to do some adjustments for the slugs and see what ranges i can get from them.

Why are you testing pellets in a fully adjustable PCP the same way you would a none adjustable springer ?
Because i didn't want to make adjustments between each set of pellets. Just trying them at the settings i have at the time.

Get a chronograph and tune your regulator to shoot slugs at 880-920.
I watched a video where a heavy slug spiraled out of the avenger. I'm wondering if that is what happened to the rabbit magnums
They didn't shoot good for my gun/tune. And they were giving to me because they shooting poorly out of a bullpup air rifle owned by someone else.

It’s the pellets!
Just stick to the pellets that shoot great at the distance you plane to shoot at!
Any leaks with your Avenger?
At firsts yes. For me it was the bleed screw for the tank. 1/4 a turn in and it was fine.
Try slug single shot!
You are shooting too heavy a pellet for the 22 avenger . My 22 avenger shoots best with JSB 18.13 pellets .
18gr JSB are $ in that gun
I can’t hear you!
Sorry I did realize I do need to get a mic. Haven't made any video since because of that reason. I guess I better start shopping for a mic
