Auto Repair Guys hey! At 3:00 when you unscrewing the bolts on both sides; what is that part that is right below that. It has like a white sticker on it. I need to replace that part do not know what it is called. Would you happen to know?! Thank you! Great vid btw!🔥💯
Just bought a used Fiesta ST and everything that I've had to do to it I've watched you guys do it first! Keep up the good work!
Great video. I just replaced my passenger side axle due to a failed inner boot. Great job! One thing I would add is to replace the Axle Seal while you have the axle out.
Was there a sound that clued you into the need to replace your axle on the Fiesta? My car is making a sound like it's rubbing the brake heatshield but I see no marks. Thanks
@@heyitscarlos27 omg i have this now in 2021!
Smart
I've seen those replaced but I've never replaced them
@@heyitscarlos27 i know your comment is from 4y ago but did you find the issue? I noticed i’ve been getting a rubbing sound from one of my wheels as I apply the brakes (mostly on days when it’s dry outside). And i noticed that side also has a broken boot so I figure its the bearing on inside thats rubbing in all the debris that got in there.
Is the seal easy to replace? Just pull it out with your fingers and place the new one in there? Do i have to lube it like when you lube the oil filter gasket during an oil change?
Hi, your video helped me a lot and i temove the right driveshaft of my ford fiesta 2013 but I 'm not able to put the new driveshaft.
Please can I use a hammer or not.
Kind regard
I've come to find my favorite tool for axle removal is a standard rabbit foot pry bar with a swivel head
Doesn't look too bad, hardest part is the axle nut if you dont have an impact, but a huge torque bar helps.
hello, Why did you replaced it?
Gave up doing this will try again tomorrow could not pop that ball joint out of the knuckle
Thanks for the video.
Thank's guy's!!
Do you need to realign the car since the lower ball joint was disconnected from the knuckle?
Hi , my son skid on ice 10 mph going around the island and slid into the kirb , the wheel tilted in, about 30/ 40 degree, this was on the passenger side , he has a ford fiesta series 7.5
After inspection,
He bent the (wish bone) front control arm
Broken the anti roll bar (drop link)
Bent the (inner tie rod bar that`s connected to the steering rack)
(Outer tie rod that has the ball joint)
(Slightly bent suspension strut)
Taking the wheel off and brake disc, the wheel hub was tilted in about 30/40 degree as the (wish bone) control arm was bent and had caused the hub to be this way ,
Question,
I removed all the damaged parts this allowed the wheel hub to straighten up, but I turn the drive shaft and it makes a ruth type of noise where it enters into the transmission and when pulling on it towards me their is about 2 inch movement on the joint near the transmission,as I can see the rubber boot moving
Is it possible that the impact` when looking at the angle the hub ended up due to the wish bone being or control arm was so bent in` about 2 inch could this of popped the drive shaft out of its transmission,or could it of separated the joints,
While the drive shaft is still on the car and the suspension strut as time was not on my side to remove the strut , I have not replaced any parts yet , what is my next move to do ,?should there be any play on the cv axle when pulling in and out on the drive shaft
Good job Guys 👍🏻
Thanks for making this video :)
Is this the same for focus st’s as well?
Thx
Someone told me the bolts for the ball joints need to be replaced when u remove them. Cant find the FSM procedure to confirm this though
Would be nice to show the cotter pin you have to remove before removing axle nut...for beginnere
There is no cotter pin on this model
