Davie is a great bassist, no doubt, but he's actually not that great of a musician overall. In terms of his ability to read music and playing with bands, he struggles. This is because he is not classically trained like Charles and many others. I would really like to see Davie expand more and become more versatile. i want to see him play with some really good bands that challenge him. Im not trying to take anything away from Davie and his skills on bass, as he is a great player. He's just not one of the best or anywhere near the best.
