The launch looks more intense than it actually is
@iTomzXD It was open for technical rehearsal last week. Which means if you were at the park in the right place at the right time, you could get on it. For my rides, the park called me and invited me up to go ride.
Yes the experience is awesome...it's not only that, it's the sensation when you first go up the "L" superstructure, I mean you basicly go into panic mode because it feels like your going to fly off the tracks, and looking streight down it's unreal, you basicly don't have time to react, but the sensation of fear factor is what makes you go on it again.....upwards of 4 G force is unreal....to me this is the best ride now and X2 is close second with Tatsu 3rd....MAGIC MOUNTAIN RULES!!
this ride was awesome because it's so fast and you can feel 3 secs of weightlessness when you're at the top
I want to go on something more thrilling than Reverse Freefall 1.
Actually the whole foot cutting incident was at the former Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom on a drop ride called Superman Tower of Power, formerly Hellevator. The park has been closed since 2009 but is reopening without Six Flags next year.
I love this ride but it's so loud! 😂

If you Americans are tired of waiting for superman escape from krypton, you can always come over here to Australia and take a ride on the tower of terror 2 at Dreamworld. It's sort of the same except the tunnel is longer.
Superman is amazing!!! I was actually there and was one of the first to test ride on 2/19/11, This thing traveled at 104 mph. Unlike traditional coasters, SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton will blast riders at 100 mph backwards on a dual track that spans 900 feet and looms 415 feet in the air, forming a gigantic “L” shaped superstructure. Riders will hang face first with a birds-eye-view of the entire Santa Clarita Valley before plummeting back down to earth.

The difference is that your actually going to be traveling at 104 mph vs. 100, and as soon as you take off backwards your body gets pulled frontwards as your getting pulled backwards with so much G force that once you start to going up the L - Shaped superstructure, it feels like you’re about to come off the train and you start to panic because the sensation is unlike any other ride at Six Flags. don't take my word for it, go ride and see for yourself....

One time I went to Superman...it was a slow day and there wasnt anybody near the ride...not even the ride operator and the ride was still open, me and my friends could have started the ride up by ourselves it was that vacant lol

That was brill to watch but you wouldnt get me ever on it lol
@SpaceScreaminJohn Exactly like how it looks; you pretty much just get thrown into the restraints. The main thrill of the ride is the view from 400 feet up. However, the launch was 'fun.' Nothing more.

It's fun as all hell, honestly. I was terrified to go on it - but it was the best thing ever.. we stood in line twice in a row for it. though lol. it was a no line day when we were there..

Yea, what you're saying didn't happen. I've checked every website that reports accidents at theme parks (it's crazy how many of them are out there), and not one had anything about someone getting hit by this ride...

@DarthMatt28 the reason why is cause they changed it to a backwards lauch.. the force of a 100 mph lauch go back wards with a lab bar would probably give you wiplash

@NoahCastaneda That is not true. They made it backwards and painted it for the 2011 season. A mechanic walked on the track of the original while it was running and she died. But that happened three years ago!!!!

@mrfreakshow @ThuqqNaStY2k11 Yes someone did die on it at this park but that was on the original superman i girl fell out of it so thats why they tore it down and theyupgraded it to this and she died cuz she was small and the restraint wasnt fully on her so she fell out

Dreamworld Australia had the first called tower of terror wich shot up facing forward then revamped it to tower of terror 2 sending riders up the tower backwards and back down face first

What about "fat guy" seating (like on Scream)? The seats look to be for lean people only. I'm 6'4" and 275 lbs. Am I going to fit? I was able to fit on the old version of this ride, barely. Should I even bother trying this?
