I love this ride!! Just a warning though, they usually launch you without warning... for example, my first time the ride operator said "Knock knock?" I was the only one who replied "Who's there?" and then she launched the ride while saying "Not you guys" hahaha so be ready. Also be aware of false countdowns... the reason why I tell you this is so when they secure your seatbelt and lapbar, make sure to KEEP YOUR HEAD BACK AGAINST THE SEAT!! Right before I rode, there was a super scared guy who was leaning forward and since the launch is so fast, his head slammed back into the seat which looked really painful. Just a reminder.

I was pleasantly surprised by how awesome of a ride this is. having seen povs I thought it would be crap but the ride experience is not unlike maverick at cedar point. Also for all you yolo haters if you saw the crowd at this park you'd understand why they used it in their promo.
As much as we laugh at the marketing and press behind the ride, most of the TPR members who have ridden it (including myself) really enjoyed it. And even accepting the target audience for the advertising, you still have to admit the campaign was quite silly and worthy of the jokes surrounding it.

X2 on the other hand, that ride needed seatbelts. If you're thinking of going on X2, be warned: The first drop will feel like your going to fly off your seat. I'm not joking.

Ride is waaaay better than it looks and what a POV video can show. Definitely try and sit in the very back, it's the best place to sit. On the reverse launch, you will actually go upside down again. In the front, you do not. Hang-time on the loop and the top hat are unreal! Short, but awesome ride. One of the best coasters I've been on!

With no shoulder restraints and that slight stall in the loop. You feel like there is a small chance u could die. Very exciting ride. As simple as it is, this is one of the most exciting rides. I didn’t think being in the front or back mattered for this ride since you’re all in one car but holy shit is being in the front an EXPERIENCE. The one time I went to Magic Mountain, this was my last ride (we managed to squirm into line before the park closed), so not only was it at night, but I also got a front row experience. It was pretty tight
I went on a 4 day trip when I was 14 with my family to Six Flags Magic Mountain, we left the day before Full Throttle opened... I haven't been to the park since. Can't wait til I go next week and get to ride it!

There's a difference between watching a video of someone riding Full Throttle, and actually riding it yourself. Gimmick ride you say? Look at tatsu where you face down for the whole ride. I thought it was stupid, turns out it was one of the best roller coasters I've ridden. Same thing with X2. Looks like an unsafe gimmick due to the rotating seats, but it was a blast.

People were saying that sitting in the back of the fuel throttle cart feels terrifying! But I didn't know about that so it was my first ever time going to Six Flags and Fuel Throttle was the first ever ride I went on. During the whole ride, I had my head down on the lapbar.
When I first went to Six Flags and we went on this ride, the ride operator started talking and someone started screaming, the ride operator was like “Why are you screaming the ride hasn’t even started” and launched the ride like a second later without saying anything 😂😂
The video doesn't do justice to the feeling you get when you're in the loop and hang upside down for quite some time there. I didn't expect much of this ride, but after riding it four times, I gotta say it's pretty awesome! The loop is magnificent! The fact that you're going through it quite slow is fantastic and gives a feeling that I didn't yet experience in any other coaster. The last descent is steeper than you would expect and is lots of fun as well!

why the heck did they put breaks on the biggest drop that is such stupid move, and if its for safety reasons I'm sure they could find a better way
I love how at magic mountain the ride operators announce birthdays (Specifically on scream and full throttle) but I just find it really super fun
I really love the operators' sense of humor. For example, I went on this ride today and the operator said "I say ooh, you say aah". We said "aaahh" and the moment we said that, she launched us away.

What the hell is a torso harness????????? You will feel the hang time (when you fall out of your seat when upside down) more when using a lap bar.
ikr my mom was so scared on twisted colossus because her butt came off the the seat but i enjoyed it because the airtime was so good

First rollercoaster I ever went on at Six Flags Magic Mountain. My mother picked it out thinking it wouldn't be that bad. *Now it's a very important detail that I was DEATHLY afraid of rollercoasters.*
Anyone who hasn't ridden many (or any) coasters before is probably going to think that they almost died on this ride. "OMG, I almost fell out!"
The people that work there truly want you to have fun. We have pass and this ride is awesome

They should get rid of the backwards launch and just have the extra boost inside the tunnel without braking first
The backwards launch just makes it more awesome and exciting!
It also makes this roller coaster even more gimmicky than before, uses up a bunch of energy and makes ride turnover take about twice as long.
It's more fun that way tho

Just went on this yesterday and I loved it! The hang time you feel is incredible and a great view at the top of the loop!

So I went a few weeks ago and on my coaster there were a group of teenagers who were trying to get the operator to REALLY mess with us. It was hilarious, it was a solid minute of the operator saying things to make us think we were about to go.
This ride is the smoothes, most silent, yet exciting I've tried. I hope they maintain it well. I can't wait to go on it again.
*crosses arms on chest* I'm going to say this is lame because I have the right to be an irrationally cranky douche. To hell with the fact that I haven't rode this! I say this ride is bad, AND I'M RIGHT! Hmpf.

gimmick ride
There's a difference between watching a video of someone riding Full Throttle, and actually riding it yourself. Gimmick ride you say? Look at tatsu where you face down for the whole ride. I thought it was stupid, turns out it was one of the best roller coasters I've ridden. Same thing with X2. Looks like an unsafe gimmick due to the rotating seats, but it was a blast.
Sorry-I thought we were talking about Full Throttle, not your experiences on other rides

I'm comparing Full Throttle to other "gimmicky rides." You can't judge a roller coaster if you haven't rode it yet.That's like calling a video game crap when you haven't played it yourself.
You can actually do both of those things. It's both legal and ethical to do so.

People were saying that sitting in the back of the fuel throttle cart feels terrifying! But I didn't know about that so it was my first ever time going to Six Flags and Fuel Throttle was the first ever ride I went on. During the whole ride, I had my head down on the lapbar.
this ride is actually really fun and not scary at all. It's something you'll definitely want to go on again, unlike X2 or Twisted Colossus

When I first went to Six Flags and we went on this ride, the ride operator started talking and someone started screaming, the ride operator was like “Why are you screaming the ride hasn’t even started” and launched the ride like a second later without saying anything 😂😂

This ride is sick. The loop is the most intense part of the ride. It feels like you are going to fall out because it's so slow.

The video doesn't do justice to the feeling you get when you're in the loop and hang upside down for quite some time there. I didn't expect much of this ride, but after riding it four times, I gotta say it's pretty awesome! The loop is magnificent! The fact that you're going through it quite slow is fantastic and gives a feeling that I didn't yet experience in any other coaster. The last descent is steeper than you would expect and is lots of fun as well!
