Went on this last week, this ride is one of those ones that will definitely suck the air outta your stomach and make you happy you survived!
Wow he didn't realize how insanely lucky he got because he wasn't upside down on the last big turn. It was so extremely intense that nobody rode it and they removed it because nobody wanted to ride it anymore.

Sure it's short... but it looks like it packs a punch! Great ride to add to the menagerie at SFMM... looks like it might be slightly different each time ridden (like riding the Zipper at the fair). I definitely want to fit in a visit to ride this!

Green lanterns stand up coaster is so much better for me and green lantern standup coaster doesn’t cause head banging me at all in my opinion,it only puts pressure in legs.

According to the LATimes, "Eventually, the rocking and spinning Green Lantern cars will be allowed to rotate more freely after the initial test-and-adjust phase, adding an extra layer of intimidation to an already exciting ride in the coming weeks."
We hated this ride. We walked on, were only 2 of us on cart, way unbalanced. It crushed my balls and bruised my taint. I would have been pissed if I waited in line for this ride. Deja-vu was WAY better, but it's gone now. :(
I thot this ride was gonna suck at first but when I went on it was one of the best rides at MM.
i thought this ride would suck like everybody else, but it was the craziest most insane experience ever. I think its even better than deja vu, and riddler which is like the one in new jersey

@NifesNforks That's because it is. They both have the exact same track layout.
I culd be wrong, but I think with this ride the seats feature free rotation...meaning that your seat rotates solely on momentum and gravity. With X2, your rotation is mechanically controlled. I could be wrong about all of that though.

They did spin, it's just that the camera spun with them. The camera was set up with the free spinning car, so it seemed like they didn't spin, when in fact they did.
rode this yesterday. it is a white knuckle roller coaster. it was intense and fun. loved it.
I like that the logo they used for the sign doesn't even have the same type of track as the ride lol. it makes it look like it's for another ride

@azaznator I read that SFMM was adjusting the ride to determine optimal spinning. Not sure about the mechanics either.

ive noticed that the inside usually spins more then the outside/front of the ride does. i go there every saturday but the lines are too long so i havent been able to ride it. i'll probably wait until the off season to ride it or use the flash pass when available for that ride. anyways yea the spins are random though there is supposed to be at least 3 spins the whole ride.

Green Lantern: First Flight at Six Flags Magic Mountain looks like a nice ride... and wouldn't mind seeing Six Flags Over Georgia being the 2nd Six Flags park to get this exact same ride. Could picture it in the Liskillet section, if SFOG is considering phasing out Whistlestop Park attraction (former Deja Vu location). Could also picture SFOG considering phasing out Dodge City Bumper Cars, and maybe getting Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom ride, next to Superman coaster. Another idea.
This ride hurts and it broke down many times before we went on it. Everyone has their own opinions but this is definatley a ride that six flags didn't really think through....

Sixflags Magic mountain will add another rollerxoaster for 2012. And had a survey with a list of names on what it should be called. I hope it's another big one like Goliath but with the 4 seats in a row.

I went on that ride yesterday. It HURTS! And idk why but when they got on, it didn't stop. On the middle of the track, it stops and it doesn't down or anything. Then like at the very last part, you flip pretty fast. At that part I hit my head sooooo hard on the seat. I had a pretty bad migraine for the rest of the day. I really don't recommend this ride for ANYONE. And you haven't gotten the word for me that it sucks and and hurts, it does. And if you do decide to go on, get a flash pass. It's

I went to six flags MM several months ago and the line was just WAAAAY too long for a 30-40 second ride. It looks pretty fun, turns look wickedly quick but I wouldnt wait more than 30 minutes to get on.
I'm going in two weeks and I cannot wait. This ride looks insane.

Well, at least it looks like it runs faster than Insane, and it seems to be pretty well themed for a Six Flags "super hero coaster."
This ride is scary af. When your not on it its child's play but when you on it damn no words. I lost my phone on this ride because it kept jerking my forward and spinning you around so much

Every time I visit six flags, there is a train stuck at the top of the ride (yes, whit riders on it), I only needed to ride it once, if you are a man, prepare for the worst longest 30 seconds for your crouch, and if you happen to get stuck on the top of the ride, well you will know why they call it first flight, first and last one

@makinmillions6 This ride does not suck...have you even been on it?? Although you might not spin a lot, the drops are really intense. It feels like you are going to get ripped from the seat. I was really scared during the whole ride. It really is an awesome ride, worth a 2 hr wait.

In sweden there is a ride identically to this. And I rode it, and it does not hurt if you keep your head back! It's a fun ride, if you don't like it, DON'T RIDE IT. In SFMM you got plenty of other coasters to choose. In Sweden and Norway we take what we get, even though it's not much. But we are grateful for that, you americans have everything, you should really enjoy that instead of complaining about everything!

When I first saw this ride at Magic Mountain I thought it was lame and short...oh boy did I underestimated this ride....it's short but the second half of this ride will get you.....it's like the saying, don't ever judge a book by it's cover!

Do you always go upside down on the last drop or is it to do with weight?
Just replace the OTS Restraints with Lap Restraints like those on X-Coasters and it wouldn't hurt as much. Otherwise, an amazing little puncher!

this ride is fun but might give you a slight headache. its an hour wait for a 30 second ride. but it would of been even funner if it went backwards lol

Is theming rides after movies really necessary? I mean... what the fuck does this thing have to do with the green lantern other than being green. Looks like a great ride though... even though it's a replica of Insane.
This ride was the scariest I ever been on. It's fine the way it is! Maybe better seat belts.
Great video...I went yesterday but they have this long pause in the middle of the ride??? That's the only bad thing because I hate facing the ground for a long period of time. But this ride was a blast otherwise.

This ride is intense!! I've never been on a roller coaster more crazy than this. I don't think anything else tops it in intensity. I'm not talking about how fast, or high, or how many loops or anything like that. I'm talking about intense "holy f*ck" factor here. It's also incredibly painful.
