    I wanted to do a head-to-head comparison of two of the most popular diffusion filters on the market. These filters are cost-effective alternatives to thinks like Pro Mist and Hollywood Black Magic filters and they both have their strengths and weaknesses. Rather than figuring out which one was better, I wanted to see where each filter was strongest.

      I turn to the CineBloom a lot more than the DreamFX for sure.

    Love the comparison, however a fairer comparison would be the cinebloom 20 vs the dream fx.. or cinebloom 10 vs dream fx subtle. I do have the cinebloom 10 myself :)

    I enjoyed watching this comparison. I really like the effect the dreamfx filter produces on individual lights and wish my cinebloom (20%) did the same! I haven’t used the microfiber cloth packaged with the cinebloom yet but will be sure to hold onto it should a need arise!

    • @imnickfriend
      @imnickfriend  3 года назад +1

      The microfiber is the surprise of the century if you ask me. Let me know how you feel about the 20% versus the 10%. I you do some tests, let me know, I would love to see them. Thanks for watching the video.

    Thanks for this man!
    Does the cinebloom 20 percent bloom the lights as much as the prism filter?
    And i really just want a filter that cuts out the digital sharpness
    Would you recommend the cinebloom 10 percent or 20 or dream prism overall?

    • @imnickfriend
      @imnickfriend  3 года назад +1

      For an OVERALL filter, I’d say the CineBloom 10%. But that’s for OVERALL shooting. If you really want this effect to hit hard, check out the DreamFX filter. These filters are more effects filters than anything else and if you’re looking to just get rid of that digital feel, check out some 1/8 Black Pro Mist from Tiffen.

      @@imnickfriend thanks for the reply brotha
      I have the tiffen black pro mist 1/8 and it slightlyy removes the digital sharpness but not really man
      Im actually quite disappointed with it, it doesnt reallt give a filmic look
      Would you say the cinebloom 10 percent is equal to the tiffen pro mist 1/8?

    Are these meant to use without c-log or s-log since it’s adds the effect of on top of c-log or s-log or shit regular

    • @imnickfriend

      Anything you use in front of the lens is setting-agnostic. Doesn’t matter what mode you shoot in, it’s always going to have that glow or diffused look.

  • @gmilka4283

    The comparison will be maybe better if you get a 20% cinebloom, the dream fx is too effective
