Yooooo,
This was a super fun one to make! Jacob and I went downtown again, this time to test out the 10% Cinebloom filter. I really wanted to see what the heck this filter even did and if it's worth having...
Thanks for watching and I'll see y'all next week!

What do you think of the 10%?
I like it, I use it daily in daytime and nighttime on both manual lenses from the 80s and newer a/f lenses. I never take it off!
It's always attached to my lens unless it's night time. Then and only then do I switch to the 20%.
How about the K&F Nano Black Mist filter? Have you tried that?
@@royhobbs785 niceeee! I bet those manual lenses have some awesome character. I need to try filming with older lenses
@@trevorwild195 no I haven't, I need to check it out!
Thanks for this video man! Quick and to the point with great examples. I think the 10% adds just a little something that is perfect! Thanks again
ayyy glad you liked it! I always try to balance these between short and sweet and fun for me to make! Totally agreed about the 10%. Thanks so much for watching!
Nice vid! Cool filter, well presented, plus I hear take the shot in the bg haha
Yoooo thanks man! Hahaha yeah I saw it on artlist, love that you noticed
Finally someone reviewed the 10%, thx for that! just ordered it.
Glad you liked it! I hope you enjoy the filter!
I personally put a wet sock on the front of my lens for that vintage look
Did I pause from my vacation to make this comment? Yes.
Hahaha I appreciate that very much
I’m personally more of a chapstick on the lens kind of guy
Thanks for this video! This helped a ton for me to decide that this is the filter for me, since it has the halation that looks so good. Take care!
You're welcome! happy to help!
Coming from someone that owns the 20% the 10 percent is perfect
Dope review man! I think the 10% sits between the BPM 1/8 and 20% Cinebloom...which is kinda perfect.
Ayyy thanks man! Yeah I think that’s true, such a perfect balance fr
Thank you so much for the video I’m a filmmaker in B’ham as well! I think I’ll go with the BPM 1/8 the 10% is still a lot strong for my taste.
Hey that’s awesome! I’ve heard a ton of good things about the BPM filters.
FIRE
Hahah thanks bro! Your review really brought it together
Yay! You helped me decide between 10 or 20! I almost bought the usual tiffen filters. lol
ayyy nice! glad I could help, have you liked it so far?
@@DustinHarrelson Still trying to figure out how to perfect it with every different lighting condition. Especially that the look is softer, I need to double check the focus as well. Some people commented about the clarity of my images coz they're used to my sharp ones before. I got 10%, it's quite subtle but it's amazing with lights. Overall, I love it! 💯
Thx for this video! super helpful
happy to help! thank you for watching!
Good video, I have the 10% & 20% (which I love) but they also now do a 5% which is on order right now ;)
Hahaha wait fr? That’s awesome!
902 views? Jeesh, YT suuuuuuucks sometimes doesnt it. Keep up the great work. Gud boi Winston
This made my day! It’s definitely a struggle but it’s so fun and encouragement like this just makes me want to make more. Hahah Winston is the guddest boi for sure😂
@@DustinHarrelson Wish I got your numbers :)
Would u say the 10% cinebloom is similar to the promist 1/8 filter?
I totally thought I responded to this, my bad! But yes, that’s what I’ve heard people compare it to. I don’t think it’s the exact same amount of diffusion technically tho
Can you use 10% of the day? For example: I have the a7siii and I record in slog3, will I not have problems when exposing? I don't have to worry? Don't I have to buy a variable ND to reward the light?
Yes, I use the variable ND and the 10% at the same time to make sure I’m exposing correctly.
@@DustinHarrelson Thank you, you are super good, greetings from Puerto Rico, which variable ND do you use as it is called to buy it today? haha
Thank you so much! I use the Moment variable ND filter
I normally use a Tiffen 1/4 stop black pro mist.
I’ve debated on buying the Cinebloom.
Ahhh nice! I’ve been wanting to try one of those
I can loan it
Looks similar to my Tiffen 1/4 so I would pass on this filter
Can you still shoot log with the diffusion filter?
Yes! I do all the time.
I dug the coverage of the filter, but my dog groomer gf was mad and told me I need to tell you to bush your dog! Lol
hahahah he's getting groomed this weekend thankfully. glad you enjoyed the video!
What lens was on your A7siii?
I believe I was using the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8
@@DustinHarrelson I loved that lens so much. I sold mine I have the sigma 28-70 it’s more compact which I like.
10% es 1/4 o 1/8?
I think it’s closer to 1/8 but still less than that
Gahhh ima till torn between the 10 and 20%
I still really want to try the 20!
@@DustinHarrelson I got them both. I use the 20 more than the 10 for sure.
Tell Jacob to put a strap on his camera. You don't want to drop that
Hahaha that’s a good point! I’d cry if I dropped a brand new camera
