When he got injured last year, I thought his best days were over, and I was frustrated with the Angels for not utilizing his talent. But to my surprise, he adapted his game and elevated it even further. I’m not sure if his arm will ever dominate the way it used to, but like Babe Ruth, his hitting might reach new heights. Plus, there’s a chance he’ll play in the outfield once he's done pitching. Even though I’m primarily a football and basketball fan, I’m Shohei’s biggest supporter because I simply appreciate greatness. Here’s to witnessing more broken sports records!

That double header left Ohtani with 1.2 WAR from that day. The 50-50 game wasn’t even inarguably his best game (just 0.7 WAR) or his best day I think his best single game was when he pitched 6 innings and gave up 1 run and hit 2 HRs (8 RBI) in the same game (0.8 WAR in just 1 game)
He ALMOST did that in one day last year! He did a shutout in game 1 of a double header, then hit 2 HR in the last game of it. In one day he got a 2 hit shutout and a 2 HR game.
He was 6-6, 5 extra base hits, 3 HR, 2 sb, 10 rbi....no single player has done all these things across their entite career, and he did it in 1 game. Let that sink in
If you think he wont pitch, you dont understand Shohei. I dont think he will ever be "satisfied" with any achievement, but you can be sure that his bucket list includes a Cy Young award. And plus he's an Ace Pitcher with a career 3.01 ERA and 11.1 Ks (can win 15 games with a 2.33 ERA in a season)
