Today we learn how to utilize the Alesis Strike Module's Velocity adjustable features. Alesis Strike Cubase 10 Pro Helensson Triggers Sony Vegas Pearl Drums ATV Electronic Drums
DUDE!!!! I am so glad to come across this, after 2 weeks of reading and watch YT videos. Nothing walks your through the settings like this. I encourage you to do an updated version if you haven't already.
Great video! I'll have to watch it like 20 times to get it down, but really appreciate your effort. Everything is twice as hard when triggering acoustic drums...
Great video bro! I had the SE and returned it because it was so frustrating trying to set the right parameters. But now that you released this video, I may purchase it again. Thanks!!!
Thank you for all of your diligent work. Do you know of a midi cc or a footcontroller message that can make the Strike switch between layer A and layer B? My idea is to multi-sample EZdrummer kits with “chain on” to layer A and “chain off” to layer B. Then I would use an external switch mounted to the snare to facilitate the transmission of this midi cc (or local control switch) to switch between the chain on/off sound, in real time....like a real kit.
Hi good work. I have a question. Did you send direct signal or master signal on PA on stage? And does the acoustician do a lot of EQ on the console or you in your module?
Hey there, I`m pretty inspired by your videos and may need some help. I own a 2box Three module at the moment with a custom built converted drum set and Roland cymbals + VH12 HiHats. The 2box module is pretty good, especially how it sounds but I simply cant stand the navigation/controls of it - it`s a pain to dial everything in. So after seeing your videos, I`m thinking about getting the Strike module (additionally or sell the 2box for it, not sure) - is there still a limitation of 200mb/kit in the strike module? If so, how hard does that limit you? - can you feel the high latency of the Strike in comparison to the low latency of the 2box three? - how is the triggering / settings for the triggers compared to the 2box? I don`t want to loose playability as I`m an experienced acoustic drummer - anything else I need to know? Thanks!
thanks for all the tips. I just got my SE last week, and i'm trying to digest and implement all of these tidbits. the thing that's messing with me most right now is that my snare drum is double triggering fairly regularly, which sounds super dumb. any tips on that?
Hey Bro! You've been a great inspiration and teacher in my latest e-kit purchase - Strike Pro SE. My previous two kits were a TD-8 (20 years ago) and a TD-25 (6 years ago). My first question is: what the hell am I going to do about these crap Alesis stock cymbals? The edge triggers on all of the cymbals fire totally randomly. I use a midi monitor utility to see the midi data go across so it pretty obvious what works and what doesn't. I've adjusted all trigger settings in every way with little results. I get it, replace them with really expensive cymbals like Roland or ATV. But seriously? What's your recommendation for hats, crashes and rides that aren't the most expensive options. Maybe VH-10, CY-14's and a CY-15R? I wish I could tear these Alesis cymbals apart and just fix them myself but I doubt that will work. Pretty sure the warranty isn't going to help me either. I absolutely love the rest of the kit! Frisbee golf anyone?
Is there a way to make a rimshot trigger like on an acoustic snare? As in.. hitting the rim and head at the same time? It's one or the other and this, in my view, will develop bad habits in the long run when transitioning back to an acoustic snare.
Awesome videos man. My snare pad isn’t triggering ghost notes evenly especially in the centre of the drum. Does this mean my share pad is broken or the plate cracked or is it a filter issue? Also when I play the snare it also triggers the rim or it alternates between the rim sample and snare sample depending on how hard i hit 🤕. Any suggestions welcome.
i just find out that alesis pro module only will work 100% good is with a alesis strike pads, if you used another pads like roland snares ,the rim shot dont work ,not matter how you try with the settings .
How's it going man? I have a situation here.. I have the strike module but I don't know how to get a xstick sound.. do you think you can help me with this?
On the module hit Voice>arrow up with the arrow buttons below the screen to highlight whatever instrument it is currently on, then toggle left or right to get to "Snare Rim" > Press F4 "Inst"> under "Snares" category any of the samples that say "XStick" at the end of the name are your cross stick. Select whichever one matches your snare sample on the head zone or different one of your choosing and then hit F6 "Back" and adjust levels accordingly.
@@AtTheSourceStudios I just did that but I still wasn't able to get a xStick.. Does the Xstick only works with the alesis snare or it works with any converted acustic snare? I converted my acustic snare into eletronic, matter of fact, I converted my whole acustic kit into an eletronic kit. Every other drums works pretty good except the Xstick :(

Thanks for checking it out bro! You are the true master of the Strike no doubt! :)
A master is only as good as his teacher.... you have taught us a lot. Cheers
Hi greats videos very useful, Can you recommend a edrum Kit in the budget for record midi drums via VTS in a DAW? Thanks

Hello, i was wondering about your second floor tom, is it custom or did you purchase it like that?
Make a video of adding extra cymbals and mapping them right ✅ 🥁

Hey man, where did you take the snare sound from? External program I guess? :)

Do you have a strike snare? If yes, have you checked to make it's a 2nd gen or newer snare if not taped the plate to reinforce?
It’s the first generation unfortunately.
just got my strike module. out of the box, the rim triggers aren't functioning. the screen only shows that the head is being hit. any ideas?

Where can I get these siren drum sounds?! And how do I add them to my module?
I am having some major trouble with the strike pro se hihats. Any help will be appreciated

@@springgyfit4414 ahh okay well what trigger are you using?
@@AtTheSourceStudios I bought a dual zone trigger from a company called eDrum midi.
How do you save those settings? When i turn off my module it goes back to default. Pressing the save button only works in trigger adjustments
Save per kit as well.
HEY!!! are you still alive..? you need someone to post bail..? what up..?
