  • Here is my in depth tutorial on how to apply not only Compression.
    But also get the best sound out of your Alesis Strike Pro by adjusting the: Decay. Bow and edge samples. Reverb.
    Together these steps will max out your drum module.
    If you have any further questions?
    I could make another tutorial video on that subject.
    Let others know this video exists as it is meant to help anyone playing on the strike who is not aware of these options and how to use them.
    Thanks for watching, you guys are awesome!
    Peace

    THANK YOU!!!!!!! Really really helped me out. I am a new drummer and the strike was my attempt to do it right the first time. WIth this tutorial I finally unlocked the potential inside this thing and I now know why people say the sounds compete with high end brands. Thank you.

    Man, great tips and setting the edge and bow for all cymbals to edge makes sense. I had not given myself the time to think about that one. We, or I should say "I" never play the cymbal on the bow. I use a crash to get that powerful accent on the edge. Another good tip was about getting a louder sound thru my dam headphones. That made no sense to me and the Roland TD-30 I'd been using was always good about being able to turn it up. I really need that one but I haven't tested it yet so I'll update this post and let you know if I was able to get the headphones to sound louder. My only complaint so far about the Alesis Strike Pro SE is the ability to play my music/tracks I play drums to. On the Roland TD-30 all I would have to do is put the music on my thumb drive and stick in the module and then setup the tracks by numbered order. Also, on the TD-30 I can easily set any part of the track to replay with A and B settings. I haven't found a way to do that on this Alesis Strike Pro SE module, have you? I thought that you could do that on the included SD card but apparently you can't. Thanks for the post!

    This is a super informative video. I'll need to watch it quite a few times as I fine tune my kit. I am going to subscribe and look forward to more great videos. Well done. (A quick thanks to JV for pointing me here). I would be very interested in how you have your Hi Hat set up as that seems to be the biggest cause of frustration looking at the forum, and one I suffered from until a recent 'fix' was found. Maybe you have a better solution? Excellent!..........

      Hey Magic AI glad you found my video helpful!
      My Hihat has not had many issues after the 1.3 update and some tweaking. However i just learned about the "washer" method as Jim Basile posted this link on facebook. (Thanks Jim) www.alesisdrummer.com/index.php?topic=7567.0%3Btopicseen
      I am going to look at the difference in a few days.
      Is this the method you talk about?
      Ps: welcome to the channel 🤘🏻

    NEWBIE just got my kit today! When you make these adjustments don't you need to SAVE them?? And would I save as a User Kit?

  • @MySarahdan
    @MySarahdan 7 месяцев назад

    I’ve followed your instructions on setting compression and set it up on big bird . When I choose another kit then go back to big bird the setting revert back to the original. Don’t I have to save the alterations some how ,if so how?

    In your Alesis Strike Pro -Compression Tutorial you refer to your Kick sounding multiple times. Can you tell me What Trigger settings for the kick you used to cure this. I have the same problem and have tried to fix but cannot. Thanks

    I've got a problem with my module. 2-year-old kit that was working fine. Update the module to 1.5 and now the volume is barely audible. All volume levels are on full but the output is very low. I've done a factory reset but still no luck. Any suggestions anyone?

    Thanks for the very informative video! Is there a way to save the compression setting permanently? All the settings go away after switching to and from kits.

      My advice is to find the facebook group alesis strike pro owners.
      They know what you need.
      I would love to help but i do not have the lit anymore ☝🏻
      Njoy your strike 👍🏻

    Hi. Very informative tutorial. I would like to ask if you could help me, please? Could you please tell me if I buy the Alesis strike module, will it work with my Roland pads and cymbals? I realize the hi hat may not work nor will the new Roland digital snare and ride, but will the rest of the pads and cymbals work?
    Thanks so much!

    Does the comp. master output increase the kit volume even if you leave the threshold at 0db?

    • @Ronnysvideos
      @Ronnysvideos  6 лет назад

      The makup gain in the compressor yes it should.

    • @SoCalDan530
      @SoCalDan530 6 лет назад +1

      Dammit, now when I use it to get a acceptable volume level, the sounds become distorted like too much gain on a mixer.

    • @Ronnysvideos
      @Ronnysvideos  6 лет назад

      Also know that each individual sound has their own volume level.
      I dont have a strike pro anymore, so i cant be of much help sadly.
