....ok, you got me...I literally just bought the module...you should be endorsed by Alesis, I'm pretty sure you've sold more kits and modules then the company itself
So I played a Roland kit the other day for the first time and holy crap did it sound horrible compared to the Strike module! Your Yamaha Live kit is my goto, great work and thankyou.
Hi, thanks for your videos! can you help me with a doubt? I want to build an e-drum using Pearl export, drumtec triple ply heads, generic trigger, Roland and AVT cymbals and Alesis Strike pro module. I heard that the Alesis module has too few tuning parameters to work well with pads from other manufacturers. What is your experience with this process (I saw that it uses a configuration very close to the one I want to set up.)? Does the module guarantee all the nuances and sensitivity for real playing feel? Thank you for your time.
Love this man you still using the same silent strike head and sensor as the Black kit in the previous video you posted? Got a scratch and dent kick on the way and ordered the trigger from MF- looking forward to getting my gen 1 strike pro (not the se) looking more like a real set like yours. Thanks for all the videos.
I wish my strike pro SE symbols sounded as good as yours!! I just got my brand new kit and they aren’t triggering correctly. I’ll hit the edge and it’ll say edge sometimes or bow or vise versa and kinda sounds like they are muting themselves… my ride symbol is literally impossible to find the bell!! I can hit one spot and it’ll say bell then hit the exact same spot several times and I’ll get maybe 1 or 2 more bell triggers… I’m so confused on this kit!! The last electric kit I had was the alesis DM7
What high hat controller are you using and what cymbal pad you using for your high hat and love all your kits bro there all amazing and have helped a lot of us with a good starting point to customizing some awesome kits that come out of the strike module
hey man you inspired me to do the same kit i bought acoustic shells. triggers which you prefer me between Joebeky or ITM2 shells size I have 8-10-12-12-18 I have the module Yamah DTX 502 also HIi hat/ Cymballs .Ride you have done a wonderful job with your kit very beautiful . i like you red wrap wher to find to bay same like yours
I am very happy with the itm2 triggers but haven't tried the Jobekys. The wrap I just searched on eBay for "vinyl wrap" and it is very inexpensive just a little time consuming to taker the drums apart and apply. Worth it tho! Thanks for watching! :)
The kit sounds fantastic, I just switched the ride cymbal bow to zildjian K custom. That’s my favorite stock ride cymbal. Please keep the kits coming you rock!!!
Great video. I sure could use your help. I have a Tama Silverstar that I converted A to E. I’m also using Roland Cy-5 hat, cy-8 and Cy-12 crash, and a CY-13 ride. I cannot, for the life of me, get the cymbals to trigger right. If I hit the 2 crashes at the same time or the snare and either crash I get no cymbal sound. If I hit a crash and the ride, any Tom, hat or kick at the same time all is fine. Another problem is I will make all of my trigger settings and they sound great. I will save the settings. Turn the unit off then back on. All my settings were saved but now the cymbals are not reacting the same as they were when I originally made the changes. Can you help with “ballpark” trigger setting and any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
i had a similar issue, i would hit my snare and kick together and it either one would drop my hit, check your xtalk send and receive, if they're cranked up to 7 then you're bound to drop hits like crazy, least thats what solved it for me. as for the other thing, no idea why that would be doing that.
Hey man, I’ve got the module but will Roland VH12 be good for the module? I have both but I’m just not sure with the wiring of the VH12 as it has “trigger out” and “control out”
Hey. I don't believe the 12 is compatible unfortunately but won't hurt to try if you have it there? I think only the VH10/11 are. Mainly it's the controller portion. You would be able to put whatever dual zone cymbal you'd want on top then.
Welcome back, Sounds great and solid playing as usual. Question: Does a vh-11 controller work with the strike module? I currently use td-11 but may buy a strike soon.
I'm not sure how to get these files downloaded. You noted to just just "follow the link in the description to the other kits in the siren kit pack". Not sure where the description is and cant find a clickable link. Is this in the you tube video page or on your website?
I downloaded your custom kits, but unfortunatly I have no sound on my 2nd and 4th Tom on any of those kits. In the Editor there is sound and the sound on the peset kits works on all toms. How can I fix this? Please help.
It has happened before with other users, although it is rare, missing a one or two pieces sometimes. Usually redownloading seems to clear it up. I can only assume its just an internet thing.
@@AtTheSourceStudios My 4th Tom works now, the second still doesn't work on all of your kits. Also I updated the module to v 1.5 and tried to change the sample of it and save it as a new costum kit. I'd like to reset my module by pressing Stop and Enter while starting, but this doesn't work either. Also I noticed that the ride is super quiet on those custom kits (not on the preset kits). So many problems with this edrums. And I'm ot even talking about the hihat :/
@@AtTheSourceStudios Okay, I found out, what the problem is. If I hit the center of tom 2 it will play the sound of the rim. Since there's no sound on those custom kits, it will play no sound, so I changed the rim-sample in the editor to the center-sample. Btw many thanks for your helpfull videos and great kits At The Source Studios.
Hmmmm no everything should have worked fine. Are you up to date on the firmware? Also similar things have happened before and just redownloading ended up working (ya never know with internet). Lmk about the firmware or if redownloading helps!
@@AtTheSourceStudios I was at 1.5 and tried reinstalling it. Then I realized I had none of the new kits. The newest one I have is Power Station. Strange glitch I guess. I want to try and downgrade my firmware and then update it again but I'm not sure how to. The old firmware is nowhere on the internet.
They are very sensitive cymbals. My sensitivity is anywhere from about 11-15 tops and retrigger/threshold near 20 or more. Different with each cymbal though.
In a full mix ambience and room sound is a large part of what helps make a great drum track IMO ambience helps add weight and a sense of space and cohesion to the drums. Albeit too much can set them too far back in a mix of course. The good thing is that the reverb is easily lowered in the module with the reverb mix volume to taste.
Can I not give you crap Without You doubling back and explaining LOL we've had this conversation how many times now LOL I already know why you do it man I just got to give you some type I'll see it. It sounds awesome though.
What a gorgeous kit! You did an amazing job on the wrap, I guess only drummers salivate over a beauty like this! Again, fantastic work Siren, man!

It's so niceeee. You're one of the people I look up to in hybrid drums
Great job bro! Do you have any videos on how to import to the module ? I’m new to e Kits..
Yeah I'd love to add these to my new Alesis Strata Prime kit

Another great kit!! Thank you!
Wow! That’s great!

Did you change kits after the intro? I saw you press something on module.
I recently picked up a Strike Pro Se. But in SSD5 I cannot figure out how to get the hi hat to work. Even with the pedal down its open.. Any idea??
Did you change the mapping to Alesis Strike?
If you did it should have changed the HiHat mapping to CC Controllable for tip and shaft (bow/edge)
