This song and the mv had me in a chokehold. Not only did Yoongi's acting get MUCH better (and he was already literally a pro), but the entire cinematography backs it up. The song is a banger, no doubt. Haegeum is a traditional instrument, but it also means release from prohibition. The mv is so fascinating. In Daechwita, he killed the blond Agust D because he was too corrupt with anger and resentment. Agust D couldn't take it anymore. But in Haegeum the Agust D scar ended up as corrupted as the blonde Agust D. It's interesting that the new Agust D basically started the mv by killing a person and ending with the memory of it. Agust D is a trilogy because Yoongi was finally able to unite with Suga and Agust D. They are no longer apart because he learned to embrace all of his feelings. In this MV, the new Agust D. is a vigilante and violent villain because that's what Agust D is. But instead of just killing the scarred Agust D, who in this narrative, is a corrupt secret agent, (as happened to the blonde Agust D), he ALSO burned the money scar that Agust D had. My interpretation is that this whole mv revolves around FREE SPEECH, which may not be correct. 🤣. Finally, cheers to SUGA for yet another unique work of art.👏❤

Cinematography is so good, it takes from Old Boy (korean version), Hong Kong Cinema mostly, Shang Chi a bit (flashback fight scene), Joker (burning the money and hanging outside the car), and Scarface (in bath with money).
It's him showing that he owns the streets, not the corrupt cop.

We know that Yoongi had an accident in the rain.
We know that he doesn't like water (he can't even swim).
In Haegeum we saw old Yoongi drowning new Yoongi in the bathroom after which new Yoongi takes a gun from the water . He had to dive into unpleasant feelings in order to free himself. And also the lotus grows in water.
Also in Amygdala Yoongi tried to open the door (crawling in the rain) to save himself in the past but he never succeeded because the past cannot be changed, it can only be accepted as rain (which was left at the end of mv).
I have a theory - both daechwita and haegeum are interlinked. In the both the songs both agust d, (the young wild one and the king /police officer) are the same persons different inner personalities, the young free spirited wild agust d is the passionate side who wants to create music and do better while the king/police agust d is the egoistic side which takes over agust d (or yoongi's mind) when given power. But he killed the king in daechwita so that his egoistic side died, and passion remains. But it came back as a police officer in haegeum, who again died by the hands of young & wild agust d.. But he died with a smile on his face. Meaning he will come back again.
In conclusion - agust d (or yoongi) kills his ego with his passion for music everytime it overtakes his mind. But since he is a human like all of us it comes back and the cycle continues.
Amygdala, Daechwita and Haegum are all related.... in Amygdala he gets his scar so it looks fresh, in Daechwita it's slowly healing, and in Haegum it's visible but fully healed.... meaning he defeated his alter ego
