The movie is called “Masquerade” and it’s basically bout a Korean king who is a not so good ruler and always threatens to kill his opposers. He is threatened with death and finds a poor guy who like just like him to be his double. The king is poisoned and the poor guy is trained to take his place until the king recovers. But the poor guy ends up being a much better ruler and takes control of the government and rules for the sake of the people and not himself. Eventually the real king is brought back to the throne to punish the revolts. And the fake king is asked to leave and never return again.
I’m not sure how the movie ends, but do think the poor guy and the king come face to face and one lives and one dies.
The fact suga incorporates such a power story into his craft to be relatable to his own life with the industry is absolutely genius!! He was a poor kid who became a king

He was an underground rapper before his audition, when he first got in BH he wanted to just be producer but he liked b-boying and one thing led to another, they convinced him to join a group for a debut in the company telling him they were all rappers and would be hiphop influenced, that slowly evolved into a KPOP group, getting singers in the group first and then making them dance.
*Jungkook was the one who signed because of RM
yoongi did stay because of rm though. they were originally supposed to be a rap group. no dancing, no makeup etc. the idea for the group changed as more people were added and they were still going to be more hip hop leaning but with the typical idol prototype. suga genuinely did consider leaving and it was his respect for rm that made him decide to stick it out and see where things went

I just happened to watch the historical anime movie "Sword of the stranger" last night and... yeah, the scarf, the"dark past", the temple or palace, the fights with swords, even the gun shot, reminds me a lot of that.
