@@najmaht.a.1314 Absolutely. And just like the Marvel Universe, they are gonna intersect each other at some point (my opinion). It is fun & exciting to watch it all unfold.
The plot twist in the end of the video was told on behind the scene that the man who should cut his head was a buthcer man that he look in the beginning of the video.
Someone has probably already mentioned this, but I love the contrast between the modern clothes and objects, such as the car and the gun that Peasant Suga has and the old-fashioned style and sword that the King uses. It really enforces the “out with the old and in with the new” themes of the rest of the video.
The gun could have been in that era tbh, the Joseon era went up to the 1800's which is well after guns were invented (and falls around the same time as the Old West) and some ARMY even researched the model of pistol used was a Colt ARMY from the 1800's. Yoongi said in the behind the scenes vid that the Agust D from 2016 became a mad King so a different Agust D has come to kill him lol.
So a king isn’t supposed to have scars, so the fact that yoongi has a scar on his face and is a king. Hes very powerful, its also funny how hes actually apart of the royal family. Bowing is a form of respect, so it’s not submission but respecting the king. He used tradition korean music in the beginning as well I think.
Just gotta say: Yoongi is a genius. The whole plot of the video was his idea and made sure the production kept with the plot, approved the shots, and suggested camera work ideas... The kind of power he has. I would want that much control over my music videos.
I'm not sure if you knew this, but in Korean history, no King or Queen were to have any scars. So the message of him having a scar while wearing the king's robes with a king's jewelry was to say that he doesn't care about the system. He can be the king without caring what others think.
@@toshinotakiyami I totally agree with you. To him, it didn't matter if the scar was there or not, because it's not going to stop him from being a king. 🙂
fun fact: suga is related to a Korean Empress who passed away. That were both from the same "min" clan witch was known for producing many Empresses although the Empress that suga is related to was known as the "disgrace" so Koreans don't talk about her era. So suga has royal blood in him. an actual KING!!
I don't know if this would be of interest but the coloured sheets on the building (the ones that look like bunting) are actually Buddhist prayer sheets (south east Asia being fairly Buddhist). However these prayer sheets are empty, they have no writing on them. Perhaps this could show that King Suga is trying to show off and prove that he is righteous when in fact he is actually shallow there is nothing of importance in his life, he only serves to make himself look better through superficial things. A tyrant is hidden behind riches and false prayer.
Honestly with the amount of fans and success bts has they cld just realese a mv where they are simply like dancing and jamming and few sexy shots and we would still like it ....but instead they put in soooo much of thought and energy into it ....like they want us to understand a message from it ....and dedicate so much time and money into everything See that’s why they are who they are and no one can come near them

In his vlive Suga said that production team wanted to shoot it simple with low budget, but Suga said that he wanted to shoot it in a traditional place. Fun tidbit: it's not only Jungkook who cameod on this but the guy he's hitting is another BTS member, Jin. Thank you for talking about Daechwita in depth! You can visit BANGTANTV (their behind-the-scenes channel) where Yoongi (AgustD) talked about how he came up with Daechwita's concept and storyline.
a thing the sets you apart from other reactors is that you actually give your opinions. you go through the things that nonprofessional eyes would probably miss. it takes your opinion to add a whole different way of appreciating music videos like this and it is important because these filmmakers/video editors/directors or whatnot work just as hard as the music artist. and they are artists themselves too so their craft has to be given credit. please don't change this type of reaction video because it is rare to find one.
what i find so interesting is the clean cuts and steady camera the "king yoongi" has while the "peasant yoongi" gets a shaky camera that follows his moves and doesnt have as clean cuts
Hahaha!! Yes! I was actually laughing that he didn’t notice Jin when he’s the one facing front but noticed JK first instead because a lot of people have noticed the former member first and then miss the latter but yeah, he said he missed Jin bc of his beard haha!
@@anabanana437 yes, he whacks him in the head with his fishing pole when he turns. Of course Jin would be carrying a fishing pole, since he loves to go fishing and he's frequently inviting yoongi to go fishing with him! I love it 😂😂😂
Love how, when the car enters the arena and it's spinning around the shots of the 'king Suga' have a panning that matches the spinning of the car and are also filmed from below, so it's like what 'peasant Suga' is actually seeing. The details on this MV are amazing!
i literally did not want this reaction to end!! seeing y'all lose your shit was so much fun, but also its just great to see you guys genuinely respect the craft and vision behind this video. im learning so much from your commentary and its giving me so many tips. love your channel wow
I am watching different reactions from different professionals, and I love how the rappers noticed his different rap flows and you guys are noticing all the different tiny aspects to the music video.
The one-take where Jin and Jk fight, Those crane shots (with the people bowing), The fire circle, The headbang and the sword dance are alllllllll things that SENT ME as a film student when this first came out lol. I love how Director/Master Y is able to contrast both versions of Agust D in such subtle ways~ the one that stands out the most is how the king version is always in those wide shots very spacious and symmetrical whereas the present day Agust D is in cramped locations or medium close ups/medium shots with something else going on in the background. BUT THEN..... Present day/peasant A.D. gets into the palace and the camera pans out for him like it did before for the king and now the king version of suga is getting that medium close up treatment....... I may just be nerding out for nothing but hell--I thought it was cool haha. I always love the workings of MV editing simply because it doesn't have that constraint with continuity--Like I know J.O. would explain this better than me but the fact that in a MV you can cut shots together that don't necessarily match the previous one and it still works is NOT something you can get away with in Film and TV----...for the most part. BUT THOSE CRANE SHOTS. Cutting those scenes together just brings out the best performance from Yoongi (Agust D) and excites the hell out of me... I know I am rambling but I mean--COME ON... lol.
I think at 10:44 when peasant Suga faces the king Suga it represents past and future how king Suga is being evil to the people tormenting them or disrespecting them. Peasant Suga is saying to Stop disrespecting people. that's how storytelling it is
This is kinda, the tyrant king is old Agust D himself he didn't let his old-self to become a greedy, power hunger, and or eaten by greediness because of the success they tasted in the industry. Agust D is afraid of greediness. We all know that every single member of BTS are very humble human-being.
Peasant Yoongi always had people around him, from the people for the people. King Yoongi was always alone in all shots or with faceless people. He's just a controlling tyrant of a ruler. Yoongi said the focus of this mv is visual so you guys analyzed it very BEAUTIFULLY ✨💜
Suggestions that i think you'll like as an editor: Stray Kids - God's Menu (came out a few day's ago) BTS - Fake love BTS - Interlude: Shadow (G) idle - Oh my god Itzy - Dalla

Just to let you know, the guy yoongi bumped into was jin, and then Jin bumped into kookie and then they started fighting. It was a funny scene that they all liked XD
Colors are really intresting in this video. Bleu tone is for the king, Orange tone is for the "gangster", orange is the "opposite" of blue. Those are complementary colors, meaning they make each other shine brighter when they are together. This is SO intresting. When gangster Suga is in tied in the king palace you can see the bleu backgroud of the king, and the orange fire is for the rebellious suga. That's why it seams so beautiful. They are the opposite face of a coin. In the last frame, Suga shoot the king, there's no more orange, so he is the new king. So the story is going to repeat itself.
I hope to watch more collabs between Jordan and Josh...this is by far the best Daechwita MV production breakdown and reaction I've seen in YT. Love this channel now! 💜💜💜
Also at the beginning of the clip, the rebel Yoongi exchanges glances with the butcher, and at the end you can see that the butcher also works as an executioner and instead of killing Yoongi, he frees him, so this is a whole conspiracy against King Yoongi

Not just BTS honestly the whole Bighit and Bighit Universes and Bighit Artists’ Universes are just 😭👌💞🔥
@@najmaht.a.1314 Absolutely. And just like the Marvel Universe, they are gonna intersect each other at some point (my opinion). It is fun & exciting to watch it all unfold.
The plot twist in the end of the video was told on behind the scene that the man who should cut his head was a buthcer man that he look in the beginning of the video.
OMG
Someone has probably already mentioned this, but I love the contrast between the modern clothes and objects, such as the car and the gun that Peasant Suga has and the old-fashioned style and sword that the King uses. It really enforces the “out with the old and in with the new” themes of the rest of the video.
The gun could have been in that era tbh, the Joseon era went up to the 1800's which is well after guns were invented (and falls around the same time as the Old West) and some ARMY even researched the model of pistol used was a Colt ARMY from the 1800's.
Yoongi said in the behind the scenes vid that the Agust D from 2016 became a mad King so a different Agust D has come to kill him lol.
they had guns jeoson era
So a king isn’t supposed to have scars, so the fact that yoongi has a scar on his face and is a king. Hes very powerful, its also funny how hes actually apart of the royal family. Bowing is a form of respect, so it’s not submission but respecting the king.
He used tradition korean music in the beginning as well I think.
Just gotta say: Yoongi is a genius. The whole plot of the video was his idea and made sure the production kept with the plot, approved the shots, and suggested camera work ideas... The kind of power he has. I would want that much control over my music videos.
He is an amazing artist
I'm not sure if you knew this, but in Korean history, no King or Queen were to have any scars. So the message of him having a scar while wearing the king's robes with a king's jewelry was to say that he doesn't care about the system. He can be the king without caring what others think.
Dem Confidence and Freedom tho
He just wanted to break the stereotype that even him with a scar can become a king regardless of his background
@@toshinotakiyami I totally agree with you. To him, it didn't matter if the scar was there or not, because it's not going to stop him from being a king. 🙂
@@toshinotakiyami indeed, freedom at it's finest. It's Yoongi tho, he can be without caring about anything😂
some others also interpreted the king having the scar to also symbolize how powerful he was, since he was king with a scar.
Holy crap I watched the music many times and I never realized that scene where King Yoongi reacted the Peasant Yoongis car that was coming.
:)
fun fact: suga is related to a Korean Empress who passed away.
A tyrant is hidden behind riches and false prayer.
interesting
Man they see every detail wow

Honestly with the amount of fans and success bts has they cld just realese a mv where they are simply like dancing and jamming and few sexy shots and we would still like it ....but instead they put in soooo much of thought and energy into it ....like they want us to understand a message from it ....and dedicate so much time and money into everything
See that’s why they are who they are and no one can come near them

Fun fact: if koreas royal family was still in rule Min Yoongi would be the next emperor (or he would be the present emperor) of today. So this mv is basically the truth of min Yoongi. When he says "I'm a boss, I'm a king" he isn't lying. Kim Seokjin and Kim Taehyung are also descendants and are more than likely distant cousins.
Basically BTS are really, truly kings 👑
This is super interesting!
Jordan Orme if you’re interested in learning a bit more I suggest researching it. It’s so easy to dig deep with this.

Glad it was helpful!
Not just the story idea, Suga chose everything down to accessories. He even researched about swords and vintage cars
Gawddd ur pfp!!! My pfp too lolol
5:00 yoongi bumped into jin, then jin looked back then accitentally hit jungkook with the rod, then they started to fight
"This video is my favourite video of this year" SAME like, dude its a HUGE BOP.
RIGHT!?
The video has everything what it be to make a very good video. Yes, its deserve to best music video this year.
I lost it when in Suga's live he said they did this with very little budget.... and that a lot of his story idea went into the MV. He's crazy talented and I can't believe they pulled off my favorite kpop mv with low budget.
The “low budget” is probably worth 100 times more expensive than my house. Oof
From a millionaires perspective everything is "low budget"
this is one of tjeir most expensive looking mv how is this lowbudget oh my gosh
In his vlive Suga said that production team wanted to shoot it simple with low budget, but Suga said that he wanted to shoot it in a traditional place. And also he said that maybe it looks expensive but it’s not that expensive cuz the location was already built. Suga was rented it with his own money (for the mixtapes they pay themselves). Also many ideas for the mv was his own, he participated in creation of the masterpiece
And also the fact that he probably has all the budget in the world but didnt need/choose to have a high budget
Fun fact: we all thought that peasant agust d shoot the king, but in making off video he said "idk he might've missed 😏"
Ooooohhhh... was it just a funny remark by Suga or he is hinting a sequel there? I'm intrigued! 🤔

As a films student I have never in my life related to a reaction video so much before. This is literally by far the best detailed explanation music video reaction where I could actually RELATE to how/what you guys were explaining - the edits, transitions, cuts and shots, all the way down to the explanations of aesthetics. IMMACULATE. Perfect. Thank you and I appreciate what you guys do! Keep it up! Looking forward to more!
In the future can you react to BTS' Suga's Interlude Shadow music video I feel like you'd really enjoy it! :D

The main reason im interested in this whole reaction video. And i love it til the end! More more!😁
THAT KILLED ME TOO SHSJSHSJHSHS
a thing the sets you apart from other reactors is that you actually give your opinions. you go through the things that nonprofessional eyes would probably miss. it takes your opinion to add a whole different way of appreciating music videos like this and it is important because these filmmakers/video editors/directors or whatnot work just as hard as the music artist. and they are artists themselves too so their craft has to be given credit.
please don't change this type of reaction video because it is rare to find one.
I swear his one of my favorite reactors
The way he notices and appreciates what's on the MV dangggg
4:40 they exactly paused at Suga smiling his cuteness is Killin me
HAHAHA
what i find so interesting is the clean cuts and steady camera the "king yoongi" has while the "peasant yoongi" gets a shaky camera that follows his moves and doesnt have as clean cuts
You mention Jungkook at 13:37, but the guy Suga bumps into first is Jin! (Another member of BTS)
OMG I didn't recognize him with the beard!
@@JordanOrme Haha yeah, I didn't recognize him the first time I watched it 😂
Also the reason they fight is because the stick he’s carrying hits jungkook when he turns around to look at suga
Hahaha!!
YES! Such a good point!
And just a fun fact: That car is the same which Agust D used in the MV 'Give it to me' a few years ago.
A very similar looking car but with blue detailing shows up in Psy's That That.

Hey there MOArmy! Nice to see some of us everywhere!

It is! Especially when there’s fanwars. It’s hard to watch them as a multi-stan, lmao
I know I am rambling but I mean--COME ON... lol.
Honestly I never actively processed that change in camera shoots until you mentioned it, that’s so cool!!
Amazing!
Are we going to ignore that he called the cow a horse? Also that squeak.
Lol
I think he said ox
Jordan said “I love that horse shot” a while after lol
I think at 10:44 when peasant Suga faces the king Suga it represents past and future how king Suga is being evil
to the people tormenting them or disrespecting them. Peasant Suga is saying to Stop disrespecting people. that's how storytelling it is
The way you guys took the time to read the lyrics, decode the visual queues, and appreciate this masterpiece is next level. I enjoyed it so much.
Thanks so much for watching!
This is kinda, the tyrant king is old Agust D himself he didn't let his old-self to become a greedy, power hunger, and or eaten by greediness because of the success they tasted in the industry. Agust D is afraid of greediness. We all know that every single member of BTS are very humble human-being.
They often forget theyre rich. 😂
This is the best reaction of “대취타" i’ve seen so far you guys are smart point out every detail and so funny I laughed so hard lol 😅💜

Wow thanks!
Also at the beginning of the clip, the rebel Yoongi exchanges glances with the butcher, and at the end you can see that the butcher also works as an executioner and instead of killing Yoongi, he frees him, so this is a whole conspiracy against King Yoongi
The guy Jungkook hits is Jin, yep with facial hair glued on LOL
Fun Fact: People weren’t allowed to be king if they had a scar on their fact, but as you can see in the music video, Suga has a scar on his face.
