Ok, so the Idol thing... k-pop artists are called "idols", so he's basically saying "all you rappers should be thankful we're not competing on the same genre, now you can have some space"
Expanding off this comment a bit, the reason both AGUST D and BTS tracks have lines mentioning categories and other rappers is because the rap line used to get a lot of backlash from rappers about being in a KPOP group. Almost like they weren't good enough to make it as a rapper but they had to join a KPOP group to get anywhere. But BTS has gone beyond just being a kpop group, especially since the rap lines and vocal lines are mutually respected and they're all starting to produce their own solo work. So if BTS or any of the members were in the same category as those rappers that harassed them, BTS would still come out on top. Their story is nothing short of amazing.
Right...he said they better be lucky he’s a K-pop Idol and is busy 24/7 or else he’d have the time to truly eat the rap game. I just became a fan. Respect to his skills *bow*
"next up is billboard" *Goes to billboard the next year* (first ever for an Asian artist) "Getting no 1 on billboard" *Gets three songs on billboard no 1 in less than 3 months* "Going to the grammy has been a goal of mine" *Visits the grammys as nominees, representers, than nominees again* -the fact that all he says comes true just adds a whole lot of sass into his words.
@@virave they got a nomination for their album cover, which technically doesnt count because if they won the design agency would’ve gotten it instead, but their album was still „nominated“ so you’re both right 😉
SUGA is from a city called Daegu! Agust D is SUGA backwards and then the TD stands for Daegu Town! I love how respectful and deep these reactions are. Keep going 💜💜
I’m often shocked that many ARMYs have no idea about the existence of RM’s masterpiece that is Joke. You think you know, but the truth is you have absolutely no idea about the force that is RM’s Joke.
"All you all rappers should be thankful I'm an idol" means that the rappers are lucky that Suga's full-time focus isn't rapping, but that he's a K-Pop idol with BTS. If he were a full-time rapper, he'd mop the floor with them/they wouldn't stand a chance. I love his swagger (and it's deserved, the man is talented AF)
I agree... I just got cheated by his baby face the other week when I got to know him but my God! This man is the real deal.....I just can't stop listening to him
@@priscillakibaara4132 I know, right? He just looks so cute and innocent... then he does that snarl thing and proceeds to spit fire... He's a genius with the rhythms and flows.
he's really an introvert BTS but once he opened his mouth to rap, he spits bars... he's the most hardworking, generous idol, people call him "the hit maker"
@@KnoxHill Ebony71 1 day ago I don't know if they told you but the sample is James Brown's "It's a Man's World". When he said all you rappers better be glad I'm an Idol, he and RM from BTS were told that they betrayed rap to become an Idol. They weren't rap anymore, they are now girls because they wear makeup. So RM with his song "Joke" and "Do You" and Suga with "Agust D" and with their Cypher 2 addressed rappers saying this. What's funny is the man considered the Father of Korean Rap, Tiger JK, loves RM and BTS. RM has done songs with Tiger's group MFBTY and on his solo song "Timeless"
Not gonna lie, started watching this super skeptical, with the amount of people that react to stuff just for views, but he actually given his point of view to the song in a way that I, someone with 0 rap knowledge, find it interesting. nice
The place where he said "SSaihanuwar" is embarrassing. SSaihanuwar was a track released by SUGA back in 2013 during their debut days. He brags in that song about selling 30,000 copies. So basically what he is saying is now he sells so much that he is embarrassed of that number he bragged about in that song.
Suga is from Daegu in South Korea. He's extremely proud of his hometown and has referenced it in other songs. He also donates to charities that help out Daegu very often. Daegu was the first city in South Korea to get hit hard by covid and within a few days of it happening he had already donated 1mil Won to local hospitals there. I believe his parents also still live in Daegu. Fun fact, just like in the USA many different parts of Korea have a dialect and those from Daegu tend to have a deeper more harsh sounding voice. Suga and V are both from Daegu and have a traditional deep voice of the area. All the boys are very proud of being Korean and love to put the history of the country into the music, from the beats they use to the dances and references they make. Korea's history is extremely interesting and very deeply woven and for such a small country I think when it comes to world history they have one of my top 3 most interesting histories to study. Suga is also related to the Min Clan which also had Empress Myeongseong, who was the last Empress of Korea.
He said smt bout his parents were from a higher class (?) of the Min clan, somd people mistaken it as he is the direct decendant of the empress but no :)
The origin of the name Agustd: suga's name as a soloist is Agustd, if you spell 'suga' backwards it becomes 'agus' and he added the 'td' because he was born in daegu/daegu town; a city in south korea.
When he was young and coming up in the rap world, before BTS, he would sell his raps, only to be robbed. They would steal his rhymes and never pay him. And when he was in school, he only had enough money each day to either ride the bus home or eat. He was very poor, he fought HARD to get where he is. I feel a lot of connections with him, but mostly his basketball game. SUGA is short for "Shooting Guard," his position on his team. I was also a shooting guard in JHS and HS, would have been college too, but life and babies happened. I was also a singer and actor, as well as on track to be a linguist/translator. My 17 year old daughter introduced me to BTS a few months ago. I had stopped listening to all music, stopped singing, stopped playing ball following a very emotional and abusive experience many years ago. BTS is the first music I can listen to now, and this old mom turns the bass all the way up when my SUGA is spittin! I love that grit! Finally feel like I'm living life again.
I don't know if they told you but the sample is James Brown's "It's a Man's World".
I'll just add that the person who mocked them the most for being "idol rappers" was a rapper named B-Free. Well, mostly known now as B-jailed for assaulting another rapper ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the blonde king he kills in daechwita is his agust d persona, full of anger and rage and spite. it's his way of saying he is moving on from those past grudges and growing as a person, leaving behind all the negative emotions and re-inventing himself.
I had no idea! That is so amazing wow! I was like: yeah, his raps are (let’s say) “calmer” and diss the haters a bit less and the lyrics are now even deeper but I never caught where that change came from. Wow. Thank you for this comment 💖
Yoongi’s tracks aren’t dedicated as a diss track or a track for haters, he once said “If you get offended by my words, then it’s your problem” - agust d
The "be thankful I'm an idol" is a diss directed at Korean Rappers who have said that "Idols can't be rappers". It's why he calls them "fried rappers", rappers who don't have talent, can't make hits and chart-toppers, who are pushing blame onto KPop idols. If he wasn't an idol, he'd outright slaughter them in their genre. He's had those comments directed at his face numerous times, and he couldn't clap back at those times but he is in this track.
People who don't know should actually see your comment because in some videos some call it "disrespectful" sometimes they need to know that he has a reason why he's saying all these
I'm not an army but i been following them since 2015 till know. I know this song dissing who.....underground rappers those hating them wearing makeup and become an idol
@@KnoxHill It wasn't released on Spotify because of the Sample, it's on Soundcloud along with many other projects of theirs including songs they like to cover!
@@KnoxHill Because the boys don't charge for their mixtapes, they freely use a lot of unlicensed samples... this prevents them from being up on Spotify. Songs like Ddaeng, RM's Joke, etc. It sucks, but so does US Copyright law.
I've never seen anybody unpacking August D like Knox Hill. August D and Knox together are like whole new poetry in it. Thank you for your talents, artistry, and appreciation for August D. I'm almost rediscovering Suga thru you. Can't compliment you enough on your knowledge and expertise. Are there any clips for August D's Cypher series, and The Last? What about the whole D-2 album?
@God of Destruction thanks so much. Just found Cypher reactions. Its just amazing to see Agust Ds talents transcend language barrier. I feel Knox gets Agust D...
*Agust D not "August D" Agust D is Daegu Town (DT) SUGA backwards. he even explains it in the album with the intro song called "Intro: DT sugA" it's quite annoying when people spell his name "August D" because it shows that you kinda don't give a shit
RM and suga were underground rappers who decided to be an idol so their "rapper peers" were looking down on them. Well they think if u r an idol then you cannot be a hiphop rappers. They seperated the genres and now he's telling them that they should be thankful he's an idol cuz he's prolly gonna ruin them if they're in the same category.
I'll reword that, they think if you're an idol you can't get enough value (from them) and more like a shitty princess singing to tunes. Suga left cuz he struggled to earn money only to be robbed off his talent and works by those underground rappers, in short they're trying to use him.
In Korea, they call kpop artists “idols” So when he said you should be thankful that I’m an idol, he was saying you should be thankful that I left underground and became an idol bc if I was still there you definitely wouldn’t even have a career 😂😂 love him for that
The "building" he's he's stuck inside is basically a container (or a box), and at the end he's sitting outside that proverbial box. He can't be contained, he can't be put in a box, but also his style is outside the box. He refers to this at the beginning when he says the kpop category is too small for him. He's an "idol" (which is the term used to refer to kpop stars in Korea), but he's also a rapper, a musician, a composer, a producer and a songwriter. He's more than just that one box people put him in. This is why I love Yoongi and BTS!
He's not even that deep into the fandom but his analysis are always on point. He can break down the messages BTS' music trying to convey accurately. *RESPECT* 😤✊
that's why i absolutely love watching his reactions, sometimes if i don't understand some kind of conseption/meaning of a concrete bts song(i'm army for not so long), i'm searching if he has a reaction for the song, cuz even tho he's not deep into army stuff his pov and explanations make a lot of sense, before his reactions i also didn't understand at all stray kids discography, now i proudly can say i love listening to their music bc of him
Knox, you are so articulate in your analysis, I have been learning so much about rap and its inherent poetry! Your passion shows through and you always strike me as genuine and generously authentic in your approach. Hats off!
Came to say something so similar. I've always liked hiphop bc of how much I love dancing, and although i've listened to rap "superficially" for many years now, it's only this past pandemic-crazy year that i've been digging more and deeper into it, and your channel has been so helpful! I literally learn something every time i watch one of your videos, and i truly appreciate it, so thank you Knox! As the person on the comment above said, your passion and authenticity surpasses the screen, and your own music is nowhere behind. Been listening to it recently and all your blood, sweat and tears are worth it 👏🏼 keep up the good work! Just as a final comment, wanted to maybe recommend latin rap. I don't know if you've ever heard some before, but there are many good MC's as well, and there are two who are currently my favorites, Gran Rah (a soloist) and Adikta Sinfonía (a group). They're both from Chile, just as me (hi from South America) and would love to hear your comments on them. Thanks once again!
Agust D has talked about how he suffers from anxiety and depression. The visuals in this this mv represent that to me. The blue and gray lighting is depression. Being trapped is both depression and anxiety. The way he is trying to escape by flailing around almost mindlessly, anxiety. And then he breaks out of the trap that is his anxiety and depression. He conquers it, when he open the door and climbs up top. But it travels with him, always there to pull him back down. Such a powerful message.
Yes Knox, thank you so much! Suga is such a talented songwriter and producer and his hard work clearly shows. I know the lyrics are a little off in this mv but I hope you can still appreciate his lyricism is amazing when translated properly. Definitely recommending ‘The Last’ next! Both his mixtapes are 🔥.
me too like they have great messages, great songs, poetic beatiful lyrics, the best rapline and vocal line. AND theyre all so hot! Like whats there not to love
I love the fact that he doesn't care about nationality, language etc. He just criticized the music not the artist. You're so respectful I LOVE THIS CHANNEL
Him - He seems to be cold-hearted ARMY'S- Just meet our yoongi , then you'll get to know he is the sweetest and the most savage person at the same time 💜🥺
Yoongi is so hot, savage, and aggressive when he's rapping... but he's the sweetest, kindest, shyest, calmest, and most adorable human being. The duality is mindblowing!
@@KnoxHill 100% on this BTS journey with you. Your insights are very polarizing to watch and I learn a lot about the technicalities and art of rapping. So thank you. Keep it up. I’ll be watching! Your music is dope too 👏🏼.
I just love how knox analysizes music, especially BTS' knowing he is not korean. AGUST D is like the alter ego of SUGA that expresses himself with his own story, the other part of him that can't be expressed as a BTS member. And that's why AGUST D's 1st and 2nd Mixtape were him expressing himself, telling his story.
I love that hes not only appreciating the lyrics and the visual, but hes able to really break down and appreciate the work and effort that went into producing Yoongi's music
Recommendations: Outro: Tear (BTS Rap Line), Ddaeng (BTS Rap Line), Interlude: Shadow (Suga, BTS), Do You (RM), The Last (Agust D), Strange (Agust D feat. RM), Cypher Part. 3 & 4 (BTS Rap Line), I hope you check them out :)
𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗗 is like a name that is basically; 𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗦 - 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮 backwards 𝗧𝗗 - 𝗧own 𝗗egu (his home city/town is Degu) So he put that as a name 'Agust D' his rapper name; Suga, (even though I believe Agust D is his solo rapper name (as in he's Suga in BTS but Agust D when he's solo)), and Degu Town, the town he grew up in.
James Brown sample, It's A Man's World. So much fun to see you enjoying and appreciating Agust D. The duality is strong in this one. Suga is often referred to as Little Meow Meow, then we get this guy. I love the whole range.
Funny thing is that the rappers that dissed BTS were originally a lot more offended by RM leaving the underground because RM really had a good rep amongst the underground. RM obviously clapped back through his unique way with words and vocab, and I’d say things settled a little. But Agust D… he has never let his foot off their necks, he has always been more direct and savage. Bit like Em in a sense of not letting it go and taking no bs. But that’s why he is so respected and has a super loyal fanbase. He lays his feelings and emotions bare in his songs. I really admire that about him ✊
Suga started in underground under name Gloss, he wrote for others etc and got ripped off never paid for his work or given the recognition, stepped on, then he joined BTS and debuted as an Idol, which in kpop is the term for a kpop star. K pop means popular music so its a genre that takes from everything really so they combine rappers with vocal lines and dance so its an all encompassing professional genre. So when he says the others should be glad he’s an idol is him referencing how when he debuted as bts, he and the rap line were all denigrated for becoming idols. Like they were no longer hip hop or rappers, they were told you used to have respect, you could have been one of us but you went idol to wear makeup like girls and coloured hair etc your no longer. A rapper no longer hip hop. So now he’s saying you should be happy I’m an idol not a rapper because at least now you can have success in your genre hip hop because he gets his awards in kpop genre. But then he makes rap like this and takes those awards too HA!! Which references him saying he’s sorry to their moms because their kids still cant succeed with him on the scene and he’s not even trying, this is a side thing nit his main focus and he has this much success. Its a major flex. I find it. Ironic too he was accused if selling out and he used to have respect when the hip hop scene used him never paid him never gave him credit although they were lined up for his songs. I forget who it was that had one of his songs, wrote an entire album except for the suga song, and his label refused to use all the songs on the album EXCEPT the suga song which may have been released as a single or maybe others wrote the rest of the songs to make an album. Either way suga’s talent was there, everyone wanted him to write for him did not pay him but yet he’s a sell out for going where he could actually ualy get paid and afford food & a bus ride home. Seriously messed up. By the way his name yes its d town Daegu if i spelt that right they call it D town. The std line, he’s litereally saying i am the disease you’ll catch when you f with me and i dont even have to use anything other than m tongue (tongue technology as in so advanced its technology). Again, another huge flex. He’s interesting. He has a song out the last, you’ll love it, its his biography in a song talking about his start his depression, he really goes off. Your hair will stand up sometimes. Thanks for video!
You should check out Agust D “The Last”. There is no MV for it, but there are lyric videos. It’s an EXTREMELY important song for the BTS Army. I’ll not give anything away, but you can feel the emotion and passion in his rap.
I can't believe I"m only seeing your reactions now. These are the best reactions I've seen in a while. You just get it man. You understand rap, flow and lyricism. Insane. Thank you for reacting to BTS!
Agust D truly is on another level like there is a video where they talk about how many songs he composes to which he said he composes about one song a day. This man is truly something else I don't know how he stores all that talent in him
the only reason ARMY watch reaction on BTS is that we feel good when they say good things about them and go crazy for their music. we love to see how they appreciate BTS anyone else???
Time of fastest verse Eminem ‘Rap God’ 18 seconds Agust D “Agust D” 17 seconds Yall in the replies, stop arguing. Its not that deep. I didnt say speed is everything. I commented this because Suga mentioned that the first rap he ever learned was “Rap God” thats why I mentioned it. So stop making a big deal out of everything. They’re both amazing rappers. So chill with the comments.
he does need oxygen, Jo Gwangil and Outsider don't need oxygen. SUGA is a better rapper but he does in fact need oxygen, you're new to fast rap aren't you?
@@heygranny no i’m not i know he needs it to live obviously i’m not stupid its a thing Armys say we all know he needs it and i always know in the middle of his raps he takes a breath. Like seriously don’t come at me where did i once say he didn’t need oxygen basically what i am saying is yes he needs oxygen
@@brittneynicole1928 you don't get it. i know you don't mean it literally, it's a common thing people say when someone is rapping fast. what I'm saying is that he isn't rapping fast enough or keeping the fast flow long enough for the oxygen thing to make sense. there are rappers who rap much faster and keep the fast flow going longer, with those rappers the oxygen thing makes sense. but it's quite cringe when saying it about some average fast rapper in terms of speed. in terms of overall rap skill he's really good, I'm not denying that. all I'm saying is that the oxygen thing is much more relevant to rappers who rap really fast not just fast. the fast flow he had at the beginning of the second verse was quite fast, so I'll give you that, but he normally doesn't rap like that so still kinda irrelevant. when i say he needs oxygen what i mean by that is not that he literally needs oxygen in real life but that he's not usually rapping fast enough for the oxygen thing to make sense. also, I'm not coming at you at all. if you're impressed by that speed then it looks like you're new to fast rap, that's not coming at you that's just stating a fact. there are plenty of fast rappers who rap much faster so if that speed is impressive to you then you must be new to this type of rap. if you're impressed by the song then that's completely normal, the song is fire. but I'm impressed with the lyrics and overall flow and rhyme schemes, not the speed. also don't take this the wrong way, speed is not essential. in fact there are more good rappers who rap slow than those who rap fast, all I'm saying is that he's just not rapping fast enough for the oxygen thing to make sense
SUGA is by far one of the best rappers alive.. world wide.. i hate that some people don’t give him credit because he’s Korean and they don’t understand what he says… you don’t have to speak Korean to feel that he’s absolutely killing it! We are definitely lucky he’s an idol 💜 I can’t imagine BTS without our Yoongi💜
Highly recommend: DDAENG (Rap line) / Do You (by RM) / Outro: Tear (Rap line) / Interlude: Shadow (Suga)** Black Swan & ON (there's 2 mvs for it), you would really appreciate the cinematography & meanings 👌🏽 I just found your videos today and already subscribed because the way you analyze is fantastic to listen and watch! 👏🏽
Yeah man, thanks for this reaction🙏You want more!? -Tear by bts(RM, J hope and Suga) -So far away by bts(Suga, Jungkook and Jin) -Late by August D -Late
"Give it to me" and "Agust D" by Agust D are staples "Daechwita" is a BANGER "Strange" and "First Love" are underrated "The Last" is my favourite song by him and I hope you do it one of these days.
I don't really like reactions in general but this guy's reaction videos are actually really good!! I love how he's not just watching and vibing but actually pays attention to the lyrics, beat and the very little details. Also, it's amazing how he can guess like 80% of the meaning and the references accurately 😂 Keep it up man! Your content is rly enjoyable! ❤️
Yoongi is like a piece of candy, all hard on the outside but sweet n soft on the inside... This man has worked so hard from where he came from... Yeah it's a good thing he's busy being an Idol cuz if he wasn't he'd be wiping the floor with his competition.. Love him💜💜💜💜💜💜 he's from Daegu town
something I really enjoy about Suga/Agust D's rap is, like what you mentioned, how he goes fast then pulls one line longer or when he raps and suddenly switches to a high pitch then goes back, I like to call it the "intentional voice crack". you hear it a lot in his rap and I feel like it's kind of a signature style of his and I really love it
The Last, So far away, Dear my friend - his songs that you definitely need to check out. Actually both mixtapes have 10 tracks and all of them are great
I just love how you're really into commenting bout Suga's rapping. I love how you pauses every time you find soemthing amusing. I just love how genuine your reactions are and how you're obviously into rapping too. I've seen so much of those reaction videos where they're not actually being genuine and only does it for baiting fans for view. Maaan I LOVE YOU💛
That's why Agust D is the most succesful korean solo artist, because his flows are amazing, his lyrics come thru and he is an outstanding producer! He is a well rounded artist, he has so many great songs Moonlight is my favorite 🍸
Not a k-pop fan at all, but my older sisters got into BTS this past year, and I never expected their rap line. Somehow, now I've waded into their videos, and I found you. I very much enjoyed your thoughts and sentiments, how you worded your commentary, and how delighted and respectful you've been as someone in the same industry. You are a very genuine person, and you deserve success and subscribers as huge as your heart and mind. Take care!
This is so great to watch... I don't see how you can be a true appreciator of rap without truly marveling at Suga. Seeing Knox geek out and get hype over Suga is so fun to see. You can really tell when someone gets "little-kid excited" about stuff vs. an "academic" appreciation.
Looking up more about Agust D/Suga/Min Yoongi's back story of how he grew up, how he went from underground rap to ending up in bts, what he faced & how dedicated he is to his music would make you relate & respect him even more! It helps a ton to understand a lot of references he makes in his mix tapes! :)
Knox, all your reactions are so impressive. Your music is 🔥 Is there anything you can’t do! Would you consider an Agust D live in the future? Guarantee you’d love his mixtapes. The man has so much more to show you 🙏
You are reacting to the BEST RAPPER, SONGWRITER, COMPOSER Uff dude you ganna fall in love with him, his lyrics, flow...... I just cant describe the perfection of this men ✨✨
I've been watching your reactions for the past 5 hours and I can't stop watching cause you really nailed it, with all the reactions and it is soooo informative I like youuuuu
AGUST D PAVED THE WAY!! please react to both of yoongi's (suga) mixtapes. his self titled mixtape from 2016 and his latest mixtape titled 'd-2'. in his first mixtape he explores a lot of topics that are considered taboo in korea (mental heath, depression, suicide etc.) and became one of the first korean artists to really speak out about this and the censorship around these topics. i think you would really appreciate his mixtapes- our yoongi is a genius!!
Yoongi is currently listed as the 4th fastest idol rapper in Korea. Clocked at 9.83 syllables per second. Also with reference to the theme of Yoongi breaking free. This was his debut song from his first mixtape (within BTS) and you can look at it as him breaking away from his squeaky clean idol image and letting out his aggressiveness. And considering I would objectively say Yoongi is kind of the most conservative member of the group, he arguably has the most sexual and spicy lyrics of all of them.
If you are interested in his music, here is a list of almost all his songs "Agust D" mixtape: 1. Intro: Dt SugA 2. Agust D (has MV) 3. Give it to me (has MV) 4. Skit 5. 727148 6. 140503 at dawn 7. Daechwita (has MV, shooting sketch and bangtan bomb with practice of dance sword) 3. What do you think? 4. Strange 5. 28 6. Burn it 7. People 8. Honsool 9. Interlude: Set me free 10. Dear my friend There is also an interview on their channel on youtube, where he talks about D-2. It is called "Agust D 'D-2' Mixtape Interview". Solo songs in BTS: 1. "Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in life" (has MV; it is from the album The Most Beautiful Moment in life pt.1) 2. "Intro: Never Mind" (has MV and live performance; from the album The Most Beautiful Moment in life pt.2) 3. "First love" (has live performance; from the album Wings) 4. Suga - Suga's Interlude 2. Lee Sora feat. Suga - Song Request (there is a bangtan bomb with recording of it) 3. Max feat. Suga - Blueberry eyes Produced by Suga for other artists: 1. Suran - Wine 2. Epik High - Eternal sunshine 3. Heize feat. Giriboy - We don't talk together 4. IU feat. Suga - Eight He didn't write lyrics for these artists (except for Eight and We don't talk together, where he is one of the songwriters), he produced songs. Producers make the instrumental, the beat, they are in charge of organizing the material and how it's all gonna sound. Just wanted to make sure there is no misunderstanding. Too many people confuse songwriters and producers. BTS songs, where he is the main producer and songwriter: 1. Tomorrow (album: Skool Luv Affair) 2. Ddaeng (from Soundcloud) 3. Let me know (album: Dark & Wild) 4. Jump (album: Skool Luv Affair) 5. Boyz with fun (album: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, part 1) 6. Autumn leaves/Dead leaves (album: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, part 2) 7. Outro: Her (rapline song, album: Love Yourself: Her) 8. Seesaw x I Need U Remix (on Soundcloud). He is credited as songwriter in 120+ songs, so I can't list them all, I listed only the songs, in which he is the main songwriter/composer. He is also one of the producers of "Respect" (unit song with RM from Map of the Soul: 7; there is live performance; Suga and RM have an interview about it - "Answer: BTS 3 UNITS 'Respect' Song by RM&Suga") and he is the main composer and songwriter of "Telepathy" (from album BE; he has interview about it - "Suga's BE-hind 'Full' story).

Their story is nothing short of amazing.
basically he said rappers should be thankful that he's a K-pop idol.

Thanks for this information. Can you please tell me where are you from
He said smt bout his parents were from a higher class (?) of the Min clan, somd people mistaken it as he is the direct decendant of the empress but no :)

The origin of the name Agustd: suga's name as a soloist is Agustd, if you spell 'suga' backwards it becomes 'agus' and he added the 'td' because he was born in daegu/daegu town; a city in south korea.

@@KnoxHill can you reaction to RM - Do You mv +Lyrics ?
His name "SUGA" also comes from the word "Shooting Guard" as he loves to play basketball and loves sports too
When he was young and coming up in the rap world, before BTS, he would sell his raps, only to be robbed.

Agust D is Daegu Town (DT) SUGA backwards. he even explains it in the album with the intro song called "Intro: DT sugA" it's quite annoying when people spell his name "August D" because it shows that you kinda don't give a shit
In Korea, they call kpop artists “idols”
So when he said you should be thankful that I’m an idol, he was saying you should be thankful that I left underground and became an idol bc if I was still there you definitely wouldn’t even have a career 😂😂 love him for that
True😂😂😂

I really admire that about him ✊
The dissed Suga for his stage name and both for waring makeup, and "selling out". The antis deserved every diss!!!!

Did suga consider top tier lyricist rapper in Korean? Not as an idol rapper. Just asking. No hate. 🙏
Highly recommend:
DDAENG (Rap line) / Do You (by RM) / Outro: Tear (Rap line) / Interlude: Shadow (Suga)**
Black Swan & ON (there's 2 mvs for it), you would really appreciate the cinematography & meanings 👌🏽

i love yoongi's rap because he's aggressive, in a good way, his flow is just... awesome! I have no words to describe how amazing his work is 💜
Highly recommend Suga's solo songs First Love and Last. No mvs, but the lyrics are just amazing, along his delivery. RM's Joke is also amazing
Omg I just ran out of work to watch this in peace 🤣 Knox, you’re a legend!
lol. Tell your boss Knox got your back
@@KnoxHill 🤣 He knows it goes Knox first, work later 🤣 🙌
Next ➡ Suga's *"Interlude: SHADOW"*
🤗💜
oh god yes this, but the full version! the 2nd half is my FAVORITE
When Yoongi turns into AGUSTD
* we bows knee down *
Absolutely, He's a KING! :)
"Give it to me" and "Agust D" by Agust D are staples
"Daechwita" is a BANGER
"Strange" and "First Love" are underrated
"The Last" is my favourite song by him and I hope you do it one of these days.
His intro Rap tho🔥🔥
Thank you 🙏 Appreciate the support!
AAAA FINALLY😍😍💜
i know right. I've been waiting for so long. so happy now.
Yessss!! Hahaha
We all can agree suga raps is on another level. King period.
something I really enjoy about Suga/Agust D's rap is, like what you mentioned, how he goes fast then pulls one line longer or when he raps and suddenly switches to a high pitch then goes back, I like to call it the "intentional voice crack". you hear it a lot in his rap and I feel like it's kind of a signature style of his and I really love it
I love it when he does that, like in the 'we are bulletproof pt.2'
And I'm also scared/worried that the listeners would think that his voice cracked
No one can even close to him when it comes to Rapping in this Generation,He is freaking Genius Man ,period
One of my favorite Agust D songs. Well, I only have listened to this k e, Daechwita and Give it to me. I need to check more out
Listen to The last
Give it to me and burn it down.
The Last, So far away, Dear my friend - his songs that you definitely need to check out. Actually both mixtapes have 10 tracks and all of them are great
My second favorite Agust D song 😉
I recommend his D-2 album, what do u think, strange and moonlight!
I-(speechless) I just danced like crazy when I saw this .love you .
My reactions are good for dance parties. Thanks for supporting 🙌
He is a well rounded artist, he has so many great songs
Moonlight is my favorite 🍸
He is also producer of this song
Not a k-pop fan at all, but my older sisters got into BTS this past year, and I never expected their rap line. Somehow, now I've waded into their videos, and I found you. I very much enjoyed your thoughts and sentiments, how you worded your commentary, and how delighted and respectful you've been as someone in the same industry. You are a very genuine person, and you deserve success and subscribers as huge as your heart and mind. Take care!
Knocked it out of the park 🔥 🔥 Best YT reactor period! Thanks Knox 🙏
Thanks as always 😁🙏
Omg it's HAPPENING 😱 finally
DONT PANIC. THIS IS NORMAL
Ikr
This is so great to watch... I don't see how you can be a true appreciator of rap without truly marveling at Suga. Seeing Knox geek out and get hype over Suga is so fun to see. You can really tell when someone gets "little-kid excited" about stuff vs. an "academic" appreciation.
Looking up more about Agust D/Suga/Min Yoongi's back story of how he grew up, how he went from underground rap to ending up in bts, what he faced & how dedicated he is to his music would make you relate & respect him even more! It helps a ton to understand a lot of references he makes in his mix tapes! :)
Bro loved ur album “chaos theory"
Ay thank you. Appreciate the support 🙌🖤
"Agust d you naughty boy" I laughed alot, ARMY GOT YOUR BACK 🤞
Yoongi is currently listed as the 4th fastest idol rapper in Korea.
Love your reactions.
Thank you 🙏
If you are interested in his music, here is a list of almost all his songs
"Agust D" mixtape:
1. Intro: Dt SugA
2. Agust D (has MV)
3. Give it to me (has MV)

10. So far away (2 versions: original version with Suran and later he made a remix with Jin and Jungkook, which is released on Soundcloud).
"Intro: dT SugA" and "Agust D" are available only on Souncloud, the rest of the mixtape is available on every streaming platform.
"D-2" mixtape:
1. Moonlight
2. Daechwita (has MV, shooting sketch and bangtan bomb with practice of dance sword)

4. Strange
5. 28
6. Burn it
7. People
8. Honsool
9. Interlude: Set me free
10. Dear my friend
There is also an interview on their channel on youtube, where he talks about D-2. It is called "Agust D 'D-2' Mixtape Interview".
Solo songs in BTS:
1. "Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in life" (has MV; it is from the album The Most Beautiful Moment in life pt.1)
2. "Intro: Never Mind" (has MV and live performance; from the album The Most Beautiful Moment in life pt.2)
3. "First love" (has live performance; from the album Wings)
4. "Trivia: Seesaw" (has live performance; from the album Love Yourself: Answer)
5. "Interlude: Shadow" (has MV, which is named concept trailer; shooting sketch and live performance; from the album Map of the Soul: 7)
Collabs with other artists:
1. Halsey feat. Suga - Suga's Interlude
2. Lee Sora feat. Suga - Song Request (there is a bangtan bomb with recording of it)
3. Max feat. Suga - Blueberry eyes
Produced by Suga for other artists:
1. Suran - Wine
2. Epik High - Eternal sunshine
3. Heize feat. Giriboy - We don't talk together
4. IU feat. Suga - Eight
He didn't write lyrics for these artists (except for Eight and We don't talk together, where he is one of the songwriters), he produced songs. Producers make the instrumental, the beat, they are in charge of organizing the material and how it's all gonna sound. Just wanted to make sure there is no misunderstanding. Too many people confuse songwriters and producers.
BTS songs, where he is the main producer and songwriter:
1. Tomorrow (album: Skool Luv Affair)
2. Ddaeng (from Soundcloud)
3. Let me know (album: Dark & Wild)
4. Jump (album: Skool Luv Affair)
5. Boyz with fun (album: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, part 1)
6. Autumn leaves/Dead leaves (album: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, part 2)
7. Outro: Her (rapline song, album: Love Yourself: Her)
Thank you for this...🤜😄
In their recent concert, dude this man been bias wrecking everyone, he's the G.O.A.T 👑
