there's a korean saying “Above someone running, there is someone flying” that means there is always someone who's better than you. in the lyrics bts say "there's a running man, there's a flying man, and above all of them runs Bangtan"

This song deserves to be an official single. It sounds so fresh and fun and kinda tongue in cheek. One of their best songs IMO. Rap on point. Vocals top notch. Jungkook's "Two bare feet are our gasoline, yeah, yeah Let's go, are you ready? Yeah, yeah" chills, literal chills.

BTS made their choice. Their art, their anthology, their choice. Jin mentioned this during IDOL promo before when they choose a title track, that song carries the whole theme/message for the album. So read and understand the lyrics.
@@slushmcslush3253 I know why they chose Yet to come. It was obviously their way of closing a chapter as they embark on a new era (solo careers). Don't need any deep analysis, the lyrics are pretty self explanatory. But that doesn't change the fact that this song is amazing and deserves to be a single.

When they said “Run Bulletproof” - they were saying “Run BTS!” because in Korean BTS is Bangtan Seongyandan which is Bulletproof Boy Scouts when translated in English.

And at the end they're actually singing: "run beautiful, yeah you gotta run, run beautiful" as a bit of a word play between bulletproof and beautiful. jimin said that the last time was dedicated or a message to ARMY as well :))

I know you’ve done a lot of Suga and RM but keep an eye on J-Hope Knox, he’s crazy good in his versatility. I think he slides into his verse on every single song in a different way. Plus how rhythmic he is and he’s crazy with cadence and ad libs! Even if he started rapping later than the other two he’s still just as talented! Who wouldn’t be if they were freestyling with Suga and RM every day 😆Would be cool if you checked out some of his solo stuff, it’s all very different!

in korean theres a saying that goes "on top of the running man is the flying man" meaning someone is better than you no matter how good you are .. so when RM says this it is a pun but hes also saying bts is better than everyone #facts ✌️

Tbh as an army (tbh ex army, I just left the fandom), this comeback wasn't good. I prefer old BTS not the present highly autotuned and attitude having Bts, they were so humble before.
The rap and vocals were I guess okay but there's more groups like Skids who are better now than bts in every way

Thanks Knox!! Great vid!! I wanted to tell you about J-Hope's line that had some different meanings. He actually said "We proved it. The 7 Chowons* with our million dollar legs". Chowon and million dollar is a movie reference (marathon) and it's about an autistic man who competes in a marathon (BTS made this same reference in Baepsae too). But Chowon also means meadow hence the literal translation. At the end they're saying 'Run beautiful' instead of bulletproof. As usual, a lot of meanings which come out over time as people digest the song and translate (thank you ARMY translators if you read this!).
Oh wow that's really interesting! The only thing I picked up on was the baepsae reference but I see there was in fact more to it. And they could still be saying bulletproof along with beautiful right? By that I mean they could be saying both like a double meaning rather than one or the other?

"Run Bulletproof" means "Run BTS" (BTS = Bangtan Sonyeondan = Bulletproof Boys).
The last part of the song is actually "Run, Beautiful" and not "Bulletproof". They are saying that to ARMY. Namjoon once said that ARMY (아미), which already has a meaning on its own, can also be short for "Beautiful Voice". I like to think they're asking us to Run alongside them !

For that verse "Above someone running is someone flying" I actually saw a translation that made more sense for me:
"On top of those who jump and fly
Is Bangtan who runs, lezzzgo"
Like how some people just got a big break and fly but they always had to run and endure a lot to get to where they are now
It make a lot more sense especially since they were not from the big 3. At that time they really have to struggle and work harder than anyone else, even their debut was because another group pull out last minute.
The combination of there different voice so perfect.. That's why they are BTS the world biggest boyband... WORLD WIDE LEGEND!
