Actually this mv is really deep for the fact that it shows real things that happened to yoongi, his accident when he was doing his part time job and he hurts his shoulder, the scars represents the things he went through.
@@himaririku9254 dude this is abt yoongi. we know g-dragon is popular, but this video isn’t about him. this is a video about yoongi’s trauma, so respect that.
Suga once said that he hated it when people knew things about his private life. This song really shows that. I can't even imagine the pain he must have felt growing up knowing that his mother's health issues started the year he was born. I get why Augst D is a trilogy and why he was so angry in the past when relatives said he would ruin his family doing music. He has such a burden already but music was all he loved to do so he was under so much torment. He was made to feel like he would not be able to take care of his parents as time went along. " in my ears I could hear the sound of my mother's life ticking away" Damn a tear slipped down. Part of his loneliness was that he could tell anyone about his mother and father's health issues in a prison he built for himself. I am so glad he has music and songwriting to take it all in and let it all go. Snooze is my favourite song that made me cry first but this song.... I finally get who agust D is, he is someone that allows Suga and Yoongi to be is truest and rawest self. Agust D has fulfilled the mission, it is done. It was raining I think on the day of the accident
It was raining. He once said that be careful it's raining a lot. It meant be careful because it rained when he got into the car accident. And amygdala In Greek means "Almond" And yoongi's mother used to tell me that almonds make your brain smarter. And when he was eating something outside of the door, It was almonds. 4:06 Once in a run bts episode. Jimin called his mom and yoongi looked up to the camera. And he kept eating almonds that whole episode. Because he missed his mother and he and his mother didn't talk back then. This breaks my heart into pieces.💔
wow ... this comment is so beautiful... I've started my journey with BTS only a few months ago, I have so much to learn, and when I heard this song I knew why I fell inlove with Suga so fast. He has such an amazing way of telling his truth. He is such a beautiful human being, and that's talking about his heart and soul (he's also a gorgeous man, which just adds to how amazing he is). I love listening to his singing, and reading his word, it always leaves me in disbelive, how talented and amazing he is. So thank you for your comment, besides being beautiful, and emotional, it also gave me more info that I didn't know about him. ALSO, if you have ideas about things that I should watch or know, I would really appriciate it if you gave me some links, I've alreadt felt how amazing and suportive ARMY is :D
It’s not at all a “joker theme,” it’s him looking back on his life. It’s suspected that agust d was created to help yoongi sort through those traumatic experiences in his music. Yoongi said himself that the storyline order is: 1) amygdala 2) Daechwita 3) haegeum
This is his life, the car wreck was why he had to have shoulder surgery. It happened while he was a trainee and delivering food to survive. A sick mom and then dad, and when he talks about "I don't know your name" it taking about that "voice" in your mind that drags you back to tramatic events in your life, that brings up fears and insecurities that you thought you were over and/or forgot about. It's all your Amygdala which controls fight or flight responses. He really showed us about his life, all the dark parts that he has kept hidden for so long. I, for one, am thankful and appreciative to our precious Yoongie for sharing this with us.❤❤❤
Terry, Suga is taking you through his painful memories. His accident that hurt his shoulder. His Mom needing heart surgery after he was born. His Dads diagnosis of liver cancer. His struggle with mental illness. He is saying that the struggle is real but the fight is worth it. Don't give up. This song touched me to my core.♓🐉💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This song is about trauma, and PTSD, and how the amygdala processes those things. We see him being stuck in a replay of his accident. That really happened to him and for a long time he couldn't talk about it, but as "Agust D" he started to process these difficult emotions. If you listen to "The Last" he mentions it too. I actually feel like AMYGDALA ties in to The Last and shows us how Yoongi grew to overcome his hurt. The significance of the scar is in part the creation of Agust D who allowed him to express his anger and hurt. But it is also a way to show "hey, I am hurt, I am imperfect". But it also is related to self harm, we see that the door opens right after he does it. But in the end he can't escape. IMO the dark room represents actual PTSD and your brain, the amygdala trying to find a way out by replaying memories and making different choices but the reality is you can never change the past. That's why he can't open the door in the end. Overcoming trauma is about acceptance, and loving the present you, and D-DAY as an album is about that.
Please note the split-second image of a hand holding almonds at 6:34. This is a reference to ALMOND: A NOVEL about a guy who has trouble identifying and describing experienced emotions because of a neuropsychologic condition (alexithymia). The "almond" refers to the amygdala, an almond-shaped area of the brain. Yoongi was seen reading this book in a preview to IN THE SOOP. The book is on Namjoon's recommended list.
I thought you already know by now. The scary thing about this MV is that this is not even a fiction but this MV portrays his real life experiences/struggles before he became an idol. He worked as a delivery boy as a trainee and got into an accident. The reason he had shoulder surgery last year 2020. Agust D's scar is self-inflicted. It was from a battle with himself.
The theme of the MV is his real life. The car accident when he was a trainee, his mom’s heart issues, his dad’s liver cancer, his experiences with self harm and depression…. This one of the most chilling MVs I’ve seen as it’s so raw
His scar. On his face. By his hand. The depth of pain in this song is just beyond.... that he has come thru all this to the other side where he can sing about it. So. Much. Work. processing his pain and feelings and coming up like a lotus thru the mud. But here he is on the other side of all of that. Currently happy, smiling, living a fuller life. My respect for him - and his life and his music and his processing of his pain, and then sharing it to normalize it and maybe help others.... knows no bounds. What a beautiful soul, and bright light. Keep shining Yoongi. Keep naming the things in your heart and in your amygdala. Keep making peace with all that is a part of being human.
The way i interpret the trilogy is that the Yoongi in this MV is locked in his amygdala (black room) the whole time, and his "dreams" or "flashbacks" into this memories are all the other MVs. So he's trapped in this room re-living his past (Daechwita, powerhungry/mad past self)(Haegeum, greed/power hungry), sending versions of himself into those memories to kill off the bad versions of himself, hoping it will free him from his room. Only in this MV, as he keeps reliving those past selves, he realizes he can't move forward (get out of the room) if he keeps cycling through his traumas. I like that the 2nd Yoongi in this mv comes to try and save him, while in the other mvs the yoongis were there to kill. Maybe this means he realized he can't kill his past because its part of him.
No it's wrong. I'm sorry bro. Amygdala comes first, then Daechwita and Haegeum. When Suga did the scar to himself is that way Agust D was born. All the pain, the bad memories etc... Created a angry version : Agust . And then we see Yoongi alias Suga in the Daechwita killing him. But then we see he's back in Haegeum. That's when Suga kills him for good
The second Yoongi in the MV is his past self, trying to save him but it doesn't work cause you can't change the past, you can only accept it and learn from it, and overcome it. And that's what he was trying to do Daechwita and Haegeum
He is finally letting the world see what he went through before he was in bts and how he overcame it and how there is suga who keeps getting the nightmares but agust d who keeps rising from it.
What Yoongi was trying to comunicate, is the depression he felt during his live, and how he can finally talk about it. 🥺 AgustD is such a genious and a great musician❤
I not just a “storyline” or “joker theme”. the video covers actual true life events of Min Yoongi. he got into an accident in 2011/2012ish during his trainee years while working as a delivery boy on a bike (in the shadow music video on his jacket the side where he has the injured shoulder, he has the model number of the vehicle written on it!). also when it rains in the MV, it actually did rain in real life the day of his accident. he didn’t tell anyone about it afraid he would be kicked out and no longer be a trainee until finally everyone saw he was injured and he went to the hospital. sadly because of this waiting and hiding, the shoulder is now permanently damaged which he’s had to have multiple treatments/surgeries for (most recently 2yrs ago he took a 2 month break to recover from another surgery). he had to take pain killers (which becomes addicting because it gets rid of the feeling of immense pain in the human body), dealing with his mother’s medical condition where she would constantly faint, then news of his dad’s cancer. as for the scar in the behind the scenes of the MV Suga tells us to interpret it the way we would like. “the best choice” could possible refer that yoongi was self harming during this time when dealing with everything OR it could just mean that these events in his life have scared him. amygdala is not just responsible for emotions but ones that are connected to memorizes one of them specifically being trauma which this is a huge trauma that haunts yoongi to this day. the scene where the floor turns into a wall while crawling, yoongi is fighting and he is trying to get himself out of there with nothing to hold onto. the more he tries the harder it becomes. he has not completely escaped this past for it will always be apart of him forever. the body and brain always remembers sadly. but he is trying and healing (him by sharing this sensitive information is already evidence he is healing). this MV was very serious and just raw. yoongi was at his most vulnerable sharing this work with us. it isn’t just a “storyline”. it’s his true life story. when I watched it I had no words. people online such as Instagram and Twitter were in shock and just silent… we couldn’t believe that he fully opened up about this and it was in incredibly heartbreaking.
This actually happened to him irl. The accident, his mom surgery, and his dads cancer. Everything he said in the lyrics was real, which made the mv even more painful to watch.
"they both can't open the door" I hadn't noticed that 🤯 I mean, I was upset that the Yoongi outside can't open it but I didn't realize, BOTH couldn't. Thank you for pointing that out Bris. && I missed you too! Glad you're okay now~
that suga who can't even touch the door is his past memories. His trying to forget it but it already happen cannot be changed. While the suga who runs to the door is his current self trying to forget those bad memories but cannot forgot, he will always remember it and will Always make him stronger than his yesterday 💜
Thank you Yoon-gi. I have been in this place. I have struggled and come out on the other side. This song touched a deep place in my heart, my soul, and brought me to tears. For those of us who suffer from mental health challenges. The struggle is real but the fight is worth it. There is a better life waiting for you. Don't give up and get help. The world needs what you have to offer.♓🐉💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
This mv was hard to watch especially cuz everything he sing about actually happend..his accident how he hurt his shoulder and couldn't tell bighit cuz it was when they were about to debut, his mom's surgery and dad getting cancer!
You didn’t mention his mom’s heart surgery or dad’s cancer…maybe you didn’t want to repeat it or didn’t see it? and I also wonder if you know that Suga was a delivery guy before bts and had a really bad accident (as shown in video) where he injured his shoulder (kept it secret until he finally told big hit and got surgery in 2020, endured a lot of pain while touring and working for all those years). All that stuff from his past, depression, anxiety, led to abusing pills, self harm, etc. The scar of his alter ego in both previous videos, was self inflicted. All the pain he carried that came out as anger and aggression. The way he found how to release it. This was the most autobiographical of all, but past music has talked about this stuff as well. Stunning and heartbreaking song and video! ❤
It’s so deeep… I teared up because not only suga went through so much but army, family, anyone we care about has been through some stuff too. Including me. I love everyone, if you’re going through things pray to god, talk to a love one, someone close to you, a talk will help you a lot. Reach out. I’ll keep you all in my prayers.
It's sad and hard for armys to watch because the scenes are true events happened to Yoongi. So proud of Yoongi for holding on, for being brave. So proud of him because now he can tell that he is healed.
I honestly don't know why I didn't want to watch/listen to Suga's new songs... This one just hits different. THE AMYGDALA is a part in the brain that its primary role is in the formation and storage of memories associated with emotional events. It's role is processing of memories, decision making, and emotional responses (like anxiety, fear, and aggression). He is calling to himself, to save him. So powerful. Calling out to those hard times in his life that shaped him, but also brought out the worst in him. I'M JUST SPEECHLESS. People face things in life that sometimes are embedded so harshly inside of us, that it changes our whole life, puts us in really deep, and sad places, that you want to rip out of you, or re-live them (as he is showing in the MV), but you can't. It reminds me of the movie "Inside Out", where you have all of these emotions in your head trying to take control, thinking you should be happy all the time, but in the end you understand, you have to understand, that all of our emotions live together, you can't have one without the other. AMAZIN SONG. BEAUTIFUL. SMART.
I can't imagine how hard his life has been. I really love reaction videos but Amygdala has been hard for me to watch over and over again without bawling my eyes out
Yoongi's real life. It's not just a video. Out of the trauma and pain, Yoongi gave birth to AugstD to help cope with his inner pain. The genesis of the scar over the eye first shown in Daeschwita and then in Haegeum (which is the end of the trilogy). That is this video.
When Yoongi is singing the line " Mom's heart surgery " he keeps repeating the last syllable he said. He basically said 엄마 심장의 수술 ( 술 술 술 술 ). 수술 ( susul ) means heart surgery, but 술 ( sul ) by itself means alcohol... Impling that, at that hard time, he was drinking a lot... I'll be crying to Amygdala for a long time... It's just too much... ❤️🩹💔💜 Now that, according to Yoongi, the trilogy of the Agust D with the scar is completed with AMYGDALA, I have a theory. I believe that Agust D started at AMYGDALA, since we found out that that's when the scar was made by him. I think that that broken part of him, in order to move on, had to be left behind. So I think that the Agust D of AMYGDALA died in that dark place. Then in DAECHWITA, the King is killed by the Agust D that became the Police Chief in HAEGEM. Who was then killed by that "new" guy that doesn't have a scar. I believe that the Agust D from the AMYGDALA, kept involving to the king then to the police chief and finally to the guy without the scar. The more scarred version of his got killed everytime by his more healed one. The reason why this trilogy is over is, I think, because his scars of his past are healed and he's now truly happy, away from that dark place... At least I hope... He went through so much. He deserves to be happy with his 6 brothers 💜
The pills he hold represent the method he used to try and unalive himself. The whole video is so raw and vulnerable. The slice on his face is the start of the August D persona that carried over to the anger of the haters. He is finally letting it all out and killing off his August D persona as he has said that he has grown, matured, and forgiven the past.
Suga with scar is Agust D. Agust D represents pain, anger, misery, , feeling of powerless...every bad emotion he kept inside and that eventually couldn't let out as Suga the Idol.
Bris, I've been watching your RUclips for so many years and to this day you are one of the last reactors of K-pop that I still watch through and through. I really appreciate the community you've grown and your comment section, to this day, has mostly been knowledgeable T_T. I found a lot of things I thought I knew but didn't. Also, I was not ready for Yoongi to drop a 3rd MV, I think a lot of us got emotional, even more than usual T_T.... Thank you Bris Gang!!!!
This song make me cry everytime, depression can't help when your the only one fighting and no support. PS: while watching suga's song I'm just sitting in the middle of my room pitch black, I'm fine
Younger Suga on the bike at the end has an epiphany moment BEFORE the next residual "loop" memory replays again for the millionth time (as all that Augst D has been able to do up to this point is just re-live the tragedies over and over and over again in a downward spiral). Suga races to the door in a effort to stop the chaos and let Augst D out of his brain/Amygdala...and realizes that he can't change the past nor save himself from what he will have to go though as the door is locked. The 2 identities that make up Suga/Augst D will always be a part of him as we can't change our pasts no matter how much we wish we could. BUT, in that final scene, young Suga finally BROKE the haunting loop cycle memory by finally breaking out of that destructive pattern (him racing to open the locked door) instead of continuing on his bike in his memory and ultimately crashing as he has in his mind every time since the accident, over and over and over again. IN THIS ACTION of trying to take a stand against the mental torment and try and actually save himself breaks the downward spiral pattern because something different, for the first time, resulted in him actually WANTING to save his own life now. While the two entities will always be separate, breaking the mental loop of re-living tragedy every day brings the 2 entities into one and ignites the healing transformation that brings him to today as a prolific songwriter, story teller, survivor and massive mental health advocate and ally. This is literally one of the best songs ever made. Suga/Augst D is a fkn genius.
Dude.... you missed the whole thing... Suga is talking about his past. These are real incidents and struggles of is life. This is not some JOKER plot or theme. He was trying to escape the room to stop those things happening to him. If you see delivery boy Suga ran back in the last part but couldn't open the door. These bad memories will happen to him at that time and he will have to go through that pain and struggles. These memories are back of his subconscious mind all that time. You can't forget your past but you can always make best choices to shape your future. He questions in the song do I have to go through these struggles to become what I am now? Is it worth it? Reality is that for some it is...you can't escape your fate but only smart and wise people make right choices and drive themselves to become better people. One can't succumb to bad times and make wrong choices as excuse. You always have choices one to bear it all and become better person or just succumb to bad choices like drugs or mafia or even worse hurting yourself. Suga bore all the struggles and pain and made right choices. He drived his anger and pain towards music and now he is what he is. Those struggles were worth it for him. Even he wished he didn't have to go through the pain of loneliness and depression but it is what It is for him. But in Rchitwa he said this is the end of a Trilogy of AUGST D ( D1 , DECHITWA which is D2 now final D3 D-DAY.) meaning ending of mentioning his past memories, struggles and anger. Now he is going to concentrate only on present and live life as he wants not remembering his past or worrying about future. Now his music will only be about what he is feeling now in the present.😊 😊 The jist is everyone's life is different, everyone have different past different struggles and choices but they have to make right choices there is no excuse to succumb to pain and ruin your lives and future. We are solely responsible for our own future. #Suga #BTS #ARMY 💜💜💜💜💜
This is real life..his mom & dad's illness..the accident right b4 debut that he hid from Bighit & pushed hisself & ended up needing surgery. ..the pills ...the injury is why he won't be in the military like the rest of the boys but be doing service in the public sector for 2 years ..this mv breaks MY HEART FOR JIM .this is a true WORK OF ART like all #BTS_OT7 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love this sing so much! Its so emotional and the video nearly took me out. Yoongi is so strong and I admire him for being able to share this vulnerable part of him! 💜💜
No this video is true events from his life. The accident with his shoulder that he had to lie about to BTS management , the pain meds from that accident, his mothers heart surgery, his dads liver cancer, suicide attempt (that BTS member Jim saved him from) and not being able to get away from the memories. The title of the song is a part of the brain that holds memories!!!!! I love that he trusts us enough to let us know what he was going through!!! Very sad video 😭🫶🏻🫰🏻💜
Min Yoongi is a musical genius. This video is devastatingly beautiful. I'm so proud of his bravery in sharing this with us and how far he's come. And I am honored that he trusts us enough to share. He is truly brilliant.
this video is based on true events in his life, from the motorcycle accident to his parents illness, depression, etc, I am glad he's at a place and overcame it 😔💜
The scarred dude is just Agust D, whom Min Yoon-gi created during his depression, these clips starting with Dawchita where he kills himself with a scar, so to speak, showing himself that he has conquered what he was afraid of in himself
I don't think you understood the meaning of the song. 🙂Maybe you don't know Yoongi's story . But all Yoongi sings about is his past. What he has been through over the years. And the meaning of the song is much deeper than you think.
My respect for bts and all the members was already alot and after watching this mv , the respect for yoongi especially went above the limits , he has overcome such bad days and struggled so much even tho with his shoulder injury just for his fans and his members . 💜✊🏻🙇🏻♂️
Oh Briss, you HAVENT understood the concept of agust d at all! the one with the scar IS AGUST D!! agust D IS the bad side of SUGA the side who wanted all the money (the detective) all the power (the emperor) all the fame (as SUGA) AND HE IS FIGHTING AGAINST HIMSELF everytime!!! In this video we could see how AGUST D was born, cuz yoongi was facing lots of things and he needed to protect himself! But now SUGA is taking control, so he CAN SAY GOOD BYE TO AGUST D without forgetting his scar!!
Finally i was waiting for ur reaction. And yes that scar is same he had in daewchita and haegeum too and at first people thought that it was from his past fights and actually it is he who did it and it's like shows his SH attempts and etc. whole thing is about him basically
His shoulder was hurt badly. He didn't let his anyone, not the members or BIG HIT! He finally had surgery and shared what happened. He suffered dearly. SUGA will not do a regular military service because of this. A civil type service. I love this guy. I am so glad he is in a better head place!
The only thing you got right is about depression. But there is no such theme. This MV portrays his real-life experiences/ struggles he went through before he became an idol. He worked as a delivery boy and got into an accident when he was a trainee. The reason he had shoulder surgery last year 2020. The scar is self-inflicted. meaning it was from a battle with himself. There is so much more.
In case you don’t know he went through all of what he’s singing about.just like a lot of us do.Amygdala is a true medical term, and my true heart Augst D put it to music he is truly amazing 🌺🌺♥️♥️🖤🖤
the scar actually shows that there are two versions of him . The scarred Suga and the Suga everyone knows . He is talking about his traumatic past where he suffered from PTSD , Depressions and many more. his accident he had in trainee years , his moms heart surgery and dads liver cancer . He haven't told people about the accident where he had hurt his shoulder badly , only few years ago and he also got surgery in that year because he couldn't really move because of the pain he received for not taking care of the injury . The door is like a door to his freeness . In the mv he couldn't open it , meaning he is still trapped in his emotional mind , but a few weeks ago at the d-day concert , he opened the door and walked out of it meaning he finally moved on and escaped
Ive watched this video about 4x , this was the 5th. Everytime it gets me, brings tears to my eyes. He always brings me into what he says. He's a genius!
Yoongi is just one of the most amazing people alive, not just as an artist, because he is honest about himself and the way that feels. He never trys to sanatize life to be popular but he wants to talk about what real life is in reality.
It’s not really a “theme” everything in amygdala is real and those things did happen to Yoongi irl, all of Agust D trilogy goes to his real experiences and what he felt.
I don't believe he is playing any characters. I think this is how he truly interprets his life until recently. This entire album is him finally letting go of his awful past and moving onto his brighter future. All three videos, Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala are his past and his fighting himself and the horrible things that happened to him but also how he has overcome it and is now happy and moving forward 💜💜💜
Can i ask you one thing please.... That where i can find the amygdala mv because whenever i open the amygdala vdo in the hybe channel it appears as age restricted and coz of that i can't see anything
8:59 I think it also adds to the fact that it's so hard to leave that depressive and dark mindset, represented by grey agust d, but it's so easy to get into, represented by leather jacket agust d
Saying it's a theme is a bit shallow/no acrual substance. The concept was the origin, what is Agustd? Many ppl said the darker suga - agustd was made through the pain and trauma he felt along d way, but d scar was inflicted. This was d origin, the scar was fresh. In daechwita u'll see the scar is there, like for a long time already However in Haegum u'll see the scar is healing & we all see d body he killed, it shows healing of suga as well. He said in an interview that it's d last of d trilogy but not d last of agust d. I wanna believe he's healing & it'll b d laat time he'll talk abt his traumas. But agust d as this raw & straugjt to d point rapper will be used soon if triggered by the system, industry, haters, etc.
And that’s why I love him too. Like Halsey said, he’s very introspective. He’s very serious and profound. His tough exterior is just to cover his fragile and conflicted self.
as someone with the majority of his issues, or similar like it, we all know, there's no escape. just coping. good coping. bad coping. but it's always just coping.
what i think about this video is that, the one who was eating almond is his persona 'anger' who wanted to take over Yoongi and suga because he was so angry about the haters and false information people throw at him. He wanted Suga to take action and show the world how angry he is, him hurting himself (which doesn't mean physically) with the blade represents his traumas and 'anger' taking over him at some point. The door open for a split second before Suga closed it. He didn't want 'anger' to become him. However 'anger' was the one that help Yoongi suppress his pain and suffering from the past, he was vulnerable and wanted 'anger' to help him again but Suga wanted to forgive those who did him wrong so he couldn't let his anger take over him anymore. This is just what I came up. hehehe
It represents his internal struggle and his different "personalities". One is free to run...one is held down by depression. Yet both know of the other and keep each other balanced. Suga has not had an easy life and he is letting us into his struggles.
Your so wrong it's a deeper meaning focus on the lyrics especially if you know Suga's past then this song and MV you will understand . It has nothing to do with the joker
The one with the scar is AGUST D! Who was created by SUGA to protect MIN YOONGI, agustd was his alter ego for long time, he said things suga couldnt say, he was the one who wanted the fame, the succes, the power! Thts why SUGA always fight against himself and now SUGA is taking control and is able to let Agust D go, without forgetting his scars!
Escucho esta canción muchas veces que ni llevo la cuenta y cada vez que la escucho me pongo a llorar por el triste significado que hay detrás, mi Gatito paso por muchas cosas orribles😭
Not a Joker theme at all. By now we all know that BTS' music is deep and requires background knowledge and thinking. ARMYs explained this MV very well below. So blessed for him to allow us to know this about what he went through. Takes a lot to share all of this and for that, as an ARMY I am grateful.
And... I think the day the accident happened, coupled with his mom's heart surgery + his father's liver Cancer is also the day that Agust D was born in his mind? It was the side of himself that could NOT give AF and say everything he really wanted to say through Agust.
Suga is showing the trauma that created the persona of Agustd... Because of his depression and feelings of helplessness he created it to escape from self harm... The scar represents it in a visual sense At the end of the video when the outside Yoongi tries to open the door and can't... the reason that the door can't be opened is because memories cant be erased. Hopefully You learn to cope with them but they are always there... hence the title of the song
At the time when all that was happening with his mom and dad & he couldn't mention his car wreck bc he didn't want to make things worse. One side of him was suffering deeply. This is when AgustD was born. Each side of him needs something from the other to survive. So they are both trying to save each other. That's what I see as they both are trying to open the door. One can't get to the door and the other wants to open the door and save him.
Actually this mv is really deep for the fact that it shows real things that happened to yoongi, his accident when he was doing his part time job and he hurts his shoulder, the scars represents the things he went through.

Yoongi said himself that the storyline order is:
1) amygdala
2) Daechwita
3) haegeum
He told Jimin in the Disney Plus movie Road to DDay that it was part of his therapy to unpack this trauma. So you are spot on.
@@Mimikooahhh I saw that scene of him explaining the meaning of amygdala to jimin but must’ve missed that part! I’ll go back and watch :)
Yeah I know the scar goes all the way back to Daechwita
This is so beautifully put ❤
G DRAGON IS KING ,,
This song is about trauma, and PTSD, and how the amygdala processes those things.
I didn't know that, thank you for pointing it out!
Do you know the author

I thought you already know by now. The scary thing about this MV is that this is not even a fiction but this MV portrays his real life experiences/struggles before he became an idol. He worked as a delivery boy as a trainee and got into an accident. The reason he had shoulder surgery last year 2020. Agust D's scar is self-inflicted. It was from a battle with himself.
Yoongi really shared a VERY personal and vulnerable time with us. He opened and and went deep. I admire him so much for sharing his pain with us.
AgustD is such a genious and a great musician❤
"they both can't open the door"
I hadn't noticed that 🤯 I mean, I was upset that the Yoongi outside can't open it but I didn't realize, BOTH couldn't.
Thank you for pointing that out Bris.
&& I missed you too! Glad you're okay now~
that suga who can't even touch the door is his past memories.
So proud of him because now he can tell that he is healed.
this song hurt me. omg. this mv is insane... yoongi's feelings and thoughts spread across D-DAY, it hurts
I really love reaction videos but Amygdala has been hard for me to watch over and over again without bawling my eyes out
In this MV he's talking about facts that happened to him. Is not just good music and lyrics. That's very deep meaning.
This was really deep suga did a great work here
Yoongi's real life. It's not just a video. Out of the trauma and pain, Yoongi gave birth to AugstD to help cope with his inner pain. The genesis of the scar over the eye first shown in Daeschwita and then in Haegeum (which is the end of the trilogy). That is this video.
this is DEEP AF man the part where he was running to open the door for the other him is crazy
Bro this is real life...
Now that, according to Yoongi, the trilogy of the Agust D with the scar is completed with AMYGDALA, I have a theory.
This amygdala is dedicated for his real past stories especially his hard situation of Min Yoongi. It's so touched. I wanna hug him at that time
Suga with scar is Agust D.
Now his music will only be about what he is feeling now in the present.😊 😊
The jist is everyone's life is different, everyone have different past different struggles and choices but they have to make right choices there is no excuse to succumb to pain and ruin your lives and future. We are solely responsible for our own future.

I want to cry 💔💔 The song is so deep about his past and what Yoongi went through..the accident and everything is real 😭😭😭😭😭
This song is the real story of his life
Finally i was waiting for ur reaction.
This is actually what happened with Yoongi, it's not scripted story'
Imagine when Suga was getting back all those painful memories just to make this song . But the ending message tho. I'm kinda worried..
Yoongi finally opened this door on the last day of his concert✨🖤
It's true story for what happen with him in past 🥴
Everytime we watch the video make us cry and sad for him
Thank you for your reaction 💜
I don't believe he is playing any characters. I think this is how he truly interprets his life until recently. This entire album is him finally letting go of his awful past and moving onto his brighter future. All three videos, Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala are his past and his fighting himself and the horrible things that happened to him but also how he has overcome it and is now happy and moving forward 💜💜💜

Oh my gosh the mv has so much symbolism 😭😭 i never knew that about suga's parents its so sad 😭😭
As sad as I am to see agust d coming to an end, im glad that yoongi doesn't need that persona anymore and has got all his anger and pain out.
Saying it's a theme is a bit shallow/no acrual substance. The concept was the origin, what is Agustd? Many ppl said the darker suga - agustd was made through the pain and trauma he felt along d way, but d scar was inflicted.
This was d origin, the scar was fresh.
In daechwita u'll see the scar is there, like for a long time already
However in Haegum u'll see the scar is healing & we all see d body he killed, it shows healing of suga as well.
He said in an interview that it's d last of d trilogy but not d last of agust d. I wanna believe he's healing & it'll b d laat time he'll talk abt his traumas. But agust d as this raw & straugjt to d point rapper will be used soon if triggered by the system, industry, haters, etc.
For the intro, Suga got Bris so in shook, that he doesn’t know what to say 😂
And that’s why I love him too. Like Halsey said, he’s very introspective. He’s very serious and profound. His tough exterior is just to cover his fragile and conflicted self.
Yoongi really got hit by a car..he's telling his story
as someone with the majority of his issues, or similar like it, we all know, there's no escape.
just coping. good coping. bad coping. but it's always just coping.
HE'S TALKING ABOUT HIMSELF IN THE PAST😢 SO DEEP
what i think about this video is that, the one who was eating almond is his persona 'anger' who wanted to take over Yoongi and suga because he was so angry about the haters and false information people throw at him.
Disappointed that you didn't get the video. You were around when Yoongi talked about his accident.
crying from this music video because it was too relatable

Suga is a humanitarian that gives and gives.

BRISxLIFE must do more research to put out a better reactions on Suga's work. Suga (Yoongi) is much deeper than your surface analysis can do justice!

This is a chilling video
Bro this is his real story 😢
AMYGDALA is masterpiece!
You were missed😩 I'm happy you are better!☺️💙
All about him surviving and hiding his injury while delivering to make money while being a trainee😢💙
Not a Joker theme at all. By now we all know that BTS' music is deep and requires background knowledge and thinking. ARMYs explained this MV very well below. So blessed for him to allow us to know this about what he went through. Takes a lot to share all of this and for that, as an ARMY I am grateful.
This is Suga story! ❤what a brave man ❤
And... I think the day the accident happened, coupled with his mom's heart surgery + his father's liver Cancer is also the day that Agust D was born in his mind? It was the side of himself that could NOT give AF and say everything he really wanted to say through Agust.
Both the King and the Corrupt Cop, are his traumas. Also, it's the young/past Suga vs Old/current Suga trying to reach each other
I love you yoongi 😘😘💕💕
Rap king Agust D 🤘👑😘💕💕
Suga is showing the trauma that created the persona of Agustd... Because of his depression and feelings of helplessness he created it to escape from self harm...
The scar represents it in a visual sense
At the end of the video when the outside Yoongi tries to open the door and can't... the reason that the door can't be opened is because memories cant be erased. Hopefully You learn to cope with them but they are always there... hence the title of the song
Thanks for reaction bro and ofcourse understanding his old depression respectively 👍
Nice catch on the tilting when he crawled omg i didn't realize that
Thank you thank you so much for being coming back we missed your reaction and agust d album and songs are so fricking good 🎉
At the time when all that was happening with his mom and dad & he couldn't mention his car wreck bc he didn't want to make things worse. One side of him was suffering deeply. This is when AgustD was born. Each side of him needs something from the other to survive. So they are both trying to save each other. That's what I see as they both are trying to open the door. One can't get to the door and the other wants to open the door and save him.
