I never understood why people say the music of Ronnie when talking about Skynyrd every single guy in that bands music they were musical geniuses!! It wasn't just Ronny
Hey Scott how bout a rig run down on the studio equipment , pedals and amps
My God man, I'm 52 yo, and I've watched has to be a few thousand videos on skynyrd, you and Tom saguto are the only two that has it, I'm amazed at what these guys came up with absolutely brilliant, thank you for passing it on,long live skynyrd,😉
Great tone - and how good is a lesson from an actual band member!
I was blown away by Artimus' Saturday Night Special Band. His commitment to excellence and honoring the music seem to be contagious to band members.
Scott !!! Iconic Riff !!! And your tone, feel ... if you close your eyes sounds like you're listening to the boys themselves. Bravo for honoring them especially now that we lost Gary also. Man what a humble unsung master. The other "King" who made sublime perfection sound effortless. Allen & Steve, man their fingers just spoke for themselves. Thanks for doing these !!!
Awesome Scott! One of the coolest songs of all time. I'm always amazed how these guys were able to create such incredible music. Really a mix of some incredible minds at play. Thanks for putting in the work
Hey Scott. Hope everything is going great! Would love to hear you do Every Mothers Son. One of my all time faves! Really cool to get to be able to watch these videos.
I just LOVE the reverb tone on the original recording , it has this really loose "slinky" feel to it - not sure if that makes sense , but best word I could come up with to describe it at the moment. Classic Skynyrd!!!
You got that right....love skynyrd. Always,MY WHOLE life
You are obviously an incredible musician, but you seem like a genuinely really good man. You seem genuinely great full to be in the position that you’re in, an happy to share your skills. Great lesson! Thanks
Thank you scott, you are really cool for taken the time to show us these licks! We love this tune and Lynyrd Skynyrd
Thanks for doing this!!!! This song is in my top 3. Thank you for taking the time to show us
The nuance and integrity in the playing on this (and all Scott's vids) is simply incredible. You want to see how the magic was made, it's right here. Gonna see APB in July 2024 man. Can't wait!
Ed said he wanted to do the solo for this so bad, but felt Gary did a good job on it, so it was settled. I asked Ed if he could do a video of the solo he had in mind, but that was about a week before he passed...
Thank you for posting, Scott! This was very helpful! You've helped me correct some of the things that I was doing wrong in my tribute act!
This is thee right way to play Saturday Night Special according to Studio version.
When I first started playing at age 12 way back in 1975, Skynard was one of the bands that played the music that motivated me to pick up guitar. Back then you learned by ear, picking up the phonograph needle and dropping it where the part you wanted to learn began. I have managed to play off and on that entire time. I really got back into it because of awesome RUclipsrs like Scott. Now I can play parts I my ear could never pick up. Thanks, Scott!
Brother,I took the ride from ocala Florida north to Galveston Florida and within that ride round trip l,I scanned my radio and skinnard was playing more times then newer songs wow.
Atrtimus is seriously underrated. That dude is friggin awesome.
