The harmonic at the end of that lead is killer brother... Long Live Lynyrd Skynyrd
Thanks, Mike! 🙏🏼
With riffs like these Lynyrd Skynyrd will never die I love learning and playing them . keep rocking on brother !!
Freaking A right
I love how the cat strolls through. On the hunt!
I live in a zoo
Finally somebody playing it correct. Every other video skips things, plays wrong notes, and adds their own bs. This is refreshing.
Agree LS songs get shreaded to many lead rhythm switches for the avg player
Outstanding, thank you. Allen Collins had such a great ear for a hook. Metal guitarists are wise to emulate him. Well, any guitarists, really. But man could he write a riff.
You are the go to guy for any Skynyrd song! Thanks Scott...so awesome!
Cool!!! One of my favorites!! RIP! Saw you guys last Saturday night in Woonsocket! Front Row! Wish I didn't drink so much. But. Gotta do what ya Gotta Do!!
No Doubt they're smiling down from heaven because you nailed it my friend.
That is one fine looking guitar. And some really good playing. Thanks for sharing. A really cool classic song.
Awesome sir thank you!!!!!!!!!
Now I remember why I love this song. Killer!!
3:57 - The Cat is not impressed.
Thanks Scott! Great walkthrough. what an awesome tune..
You play this song so well, Scott. There are so many nuances in this song with the three guitar attack and it is one of their best songs.
Never missed a lick love it
This is a gem.
Great lesson Scott
Man I can remember, cranking this tune in my 1975 z28 Camaro man this song brings back memories great lesson and a killer tune
Nice job. My favorite song. RIP ED.
I focus....
On only note for note!!!
Some agree,
Some don't!
I just want to play it like I heard it!!!
I enjoy your playing and knowledge of this,
F'n Awesome Band!!!
You've been helping many "Hard Core Fans!".
For years!!!
We know it makes you happy,
But.
That knowledge you got makes us,
F'n Drive for more!!!
I'm not kissing ass,
Just glad someone else will help the ones who hasn't locked that song in!!!
You F'n,
Rock!!!
🇺🇸🤪🎸🤪🇺🇸
One of my favorites thanks!

Having rediscovered Lynyrd Skynyrd I have become obsessed with their story and music. Happy to have discovered your awesome videos!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
I am right there with you. My obsession started in 1976. Today it’s stronger than ever thanks to You Tube and people that are willing to share how to play Skynyrd songs. My Skynyrd obsession has become extreme now that I can hear my fingers make my Gibson SG sing it too!
I've recently come back to them as well. Liked them nearly 50 yrs ago when I first heard them and even more so now
Thank you for playing this song. My favorite skynyrd song!! Your are great
Hey Scott, as allways great picking! Your love of the band and the music shines thru , it's easy to see you know your blessed with a good life. Thanks for sharing and keeping Skynyrd alive. I have always loved them I used to live on Cambridge by the middle school and elementary schools and worked at the marinas at the end of the road. Thanks again for what you do

Beautiful Instrument this Gibson Firebird. Great Song, great lesson. Thanks! Greetings from Germany.

I love this lesson. Practice, practice, practice. However, I like how the cat walks by at 3:56 like "ok, nothing to see here!"
Cat is probably from LA…late to the show & early to leave…all cuz of traffic😂🤘🏽
Great video, thanks for doing this. This has always been my favorite Skynyrd song, although honestly I think they're all my favorites.
That harmonic puts some sting on it son yessir! 🤘🏼

Scott, I wish we were neighbors! You have become my favorite thing to watch!
Thank you, Michael! 🙏🏼

Good job man!!! One of my favorite Skynyrd tunes!!
Thanks for including the story about it being the MCA riff backwards. Love hearing anything about the making of anything that Skynyrd did (77 and pre)! Excellent tutorial as well. Cheers P[>

Thank you Sir. What a killer song and solo. Gary is credited with the whole solo. What a genius. Great lesson. I think I’ve got everything except for the solo pretty much down.
Another fine song . Thank you so much . A had forgotten a few of the actual key parts . And you got it perfect . As you know the songs as they were played . A lot of hidden things were in all there songs . Who played what was the big thing .
Scott, thanks for the video, you are the Man, My Best, Cousin Figel
Thank you as always! 🙏🏼
There are so many classic's from Second helping and Pronounced but (on the hunt) and Needles and the Spoon have to be at the top. Damn, I miss the 70's. Thanks for doing what you do Scott. Keep's old memories going.
70’s music was magic. It’s amazing to have grown up during that period. It will never happen again.

Nice to see someone else play power chords like myself. Index finger and pinky😊
Thank you for doing this and all that you do Scott! Your attention to detail is awesome!
Awesome my song, glad I found you
One of my favorite Skynyrd songs. Thanks for playing it through with breaks every five seconds.
the third note after the B power chord, i always just plucked the D string before hammering on the fourth fret then pulled off. But the sliding here makes that smoother sound. Thank You.
Awesome lesson from the man ! The real way to play it !!many thanks brah 😊

Me too, just can’t seem to get enough, love this, Allen could get down 😎
The riff sells it. Not the gain.
Scott thanks for doing these videos, I am hooked on learning every note, thanks ! Was going to see you guys at the Pocono's this month, I guess it will have to wait for awhile. Saw Skynyrd in June '77 in Philly, never forget that show.
For years i played this by ear and thought i had it sounding pretty good but man learning to play it correctly is so fun and sounds so much better than how i was playing it. thanks for all the lessons. the wife and I have tickets to the shows in Connecticut and Road Island next month, see you there!
So glad to have found you!! Love these videos!!
Nice work 👏 guitar 🎸 🔥
Wow, I’m not a musician but that looks like a complex song, not like the typical 3 chord rock song. Great job!
So clever and tasty rock can't get much cooler than a cut like that. Thanks for showing us all the real little chops that we need to make the song real .
I apologize for my English. I'm very grateful. You've been help me so much. "Rock'n Roll is for who deserve"! Lynyrd Skynyrd is the PURE, UNADULTERATED, INCORRUPT, PRISTINE, NEAT, IMACULATTE, AUTHENTIC,GENUINE Rock'n Roll!!!!! GOD bless you! GOD bless the american music!
Awesome....this solved the one question I had on playing this song...I knew there was an F sharp in that area of the song somewhere lol...thanks for sharing
Awesome pickin' Scott. You helped me a lot on a couple of parts I couldn't quite make out!!! Thanks buddy, can't wait to see you guys again! Keep up the great work! Tell everyone I said hello 🤗
