Lol, the commercial for health app on apple was hilarious but highly concerning at the same time!

    It's beautiful ❤️
But it won't be burnt by the fire?

Thanks Jodie! I think if you put it directly into a flame and left it, it would start to burn. But cotton yarn doesn't burn when something hot touches it, so you can use it safely to remove things from the oven, and put hot plates/pots/pans on it with no issues. Cotton yarn is normally recommended for potholders, but I've also heard that wool is even better because it's fire retardant. ☺

What brand of hook do you use? I’m have trouble getting the right gauge. A 4.0 mm is too small and a 4.5 mm is too big. I’m using Addi Hooks. Does anyone make a 4.25 mm hook?

Hi Gail, I'm sorry you're having trouble with the gauge. I use Clover hooks, and I think I have a looser tension. Unfortunately, they don't have a 4.25mm, but it looks like the Boye brand does. I'll link it here for you, just in case: www.joann.com/boye-size-g-4.25mm-ergonomic-aluminum-crochet-hook/13633359.html? 🙂

Hi, thanks for creating these videos. I am an absolute beginner and am making a Fairy Dust Pot Holder as my first project. I am struggling to interpret some of the instructions. At the end of rnd 1, where you join with a slip stitch into the top loop of the 1st stitch, is that 1st stitch the first of the 2 HDCs that were worked into the 2nd chain from the hook?

Hi Sarah, great question! Yes, it is the first of the 2 hdc that you made into the 2nd chain from the hook. This is where you'll place your slip stitch. I hope this helps! ☺

This is great! I have so much wool. Would you recommend using wool to make the potholder?

Hi Deborah I'm so glad you like it! I usually recommend cotton yarn, but I googled it and wool is flame resistant, so that would be perfect. :)

Completely understand Eileen! Have you tried a single crochet magic potholder? They are easier and come out nice every time. The Crochet Lady has a tutorial for it here: ruclips.net/video/yazWtfMLPMc/видео.html ☺

@@ThisPixieCreates yours is slightly different but yes, I’ve done several like that, that’s why I was thinking of changing it up and doing this one. 🙂 My goal is to have enough for each household at church for Christmas.
