Thank you very much for sharing your camera set up and especially for sharing your enthusiasm for this great little camera. As I customize the setup of my X100F, I find that I am thinking less (sometimes hardly at all) about what I am asking the camera to do and more about composing and capturing the image that got me to raise the camera to my eye. Your suggestion of using the front control dial as exposure compensation control and depressing it to alter the ISO is brilliant and very helpful. Yes, the camera came set up that way, but I had managed to overlook it. I want also to point out that your voice and manner convey confidence without being grating or seeming forced. Those are gifts to those of us watching and listening.

I understand what you’re saying about the shutter speed dial and the exposure commentation dial but I guess the reason I really like this camera is because it reminds me of using my Leica M2 or my Canonet. I find that using this camera makes me slow down and think about what I’m doing and I really enjoy the slower process of the dials. And it really doesn’t take that long to switch them! Thank you for your great videos.
The reason I use the Olympus EM10 mk3 is the dials on the top of the camera. Two of them are programmable and I do the same thing you do with my thumb and forefinger. And the exposure compensation wheel I can use without taking my eye off the EVF. I use this camera the same way you use the Fuji, street and travel. I have a tilt screen as well. The camera fits my hands for some reason naturally. The only other downside is dynamic range, which the m43 size sensors just don't have for my style of shooting. Lens selection is great but I generally keep the Pro 12 to 40 f2.8 zoom. Great lens. Regards from the desert.
Did you know there's one more button? I missed it at first: It's located on the EVF/OVF toggle switch on the front of the camera. Another useful thing to customize is the "MY MENU" section of the menus, which is selected by default when the MENU button is pressed. Thanks for the video!

Your video was quite informative. I have owned the S, T and now, the F. I spent 5 weeks in Paris and Amsterdam with only the F. It is a terrific camera. As experienced as I am, it did not occur to me to utilize the front dial for ISO and exposure compensation. That is huge as an X100 shooter. Regards
There is a drawback. It can be very easy to push it by mistake and have it go intp ISO mode. Then, when you try to adjust your exposure compensation you are suddenly adjusting your ISO.
Very useful video. I have most of my functions set up like yours although I adjusted a couple based upon your comments. I do disagree with your comment about the 70 mm digital crop not being useful. I visited Greenland recently with the X100F as my camera and shot both in raw and then JPEG so I could use the digital crops. I found that with the upsizing algorithm applied in camera that the results of both 50 mm and 70 mm were very good, as good as a crop of the 35 mm raw file or better. This feature is a great asset when one cannot zoom with one's feet.

Bought my X100F just a couple of weeks ago and this was most helpful, particularly the tip about controlling exposure comp via the front dial. Although I didn't understand how ISO is controlled by pressing the dial. I pressed it but nothing happened.
Thanks for your video. I am a new user to this sort of camera and I bought my camera used. I tried to follow you but when I do the same thing as you my camera doesn't do what yours does. Can you tell me where I might learn how to do these settings? I think it might be because the previous user has updated the camera settings and they have changed. Reading the manual but honestly it is easier for me to understand when I see it done on a video like you are doing.

Hi Perry, i'm always coming as I know you always answer. I've to issue right now. I can see my focus point anymore. And when using ovf OR evf, after a few seconds all the infos on the screen disapear, meaning I lose the MF Distance Indicator. it only comes back if I press the shooting button.. I can’t find the way to keep all those informations on the screen... sorry to bother you.. thanks. (by the way it would be great to hear talking about Focus zone as I find it really handfull... ). best. L.
Well I imagine that the information disappearing on your screen is just the camera's way of saving your battery life. As for not seeing your focus point The first thing I would do is check to Make sure you haven't changed your focus mode or the size of your focus point. For example, if you have your focus set to full screen then you won't see the focus point until you actually depress the trigger halfway. 🙂📷
Don't just do what I do... half the fun is playing with all the presets. Find out what's important to you then set up the camera to make it your own. (and come back and share your settings!) :) My setup is a good start
If I may counter your use of JPEG alone, I shoot a Fuji XH1in RAW now. And when I process, I process color and then a duplicate in B&W. And to be honest, I do not find the "processing" tiresome. By the way, my new X100F arriving next week. Two Fujis.Oh, my.
Keep in mind that I shoot a lot professionally so with the Fuji I really don't want to go near my computer if I can avoid it. The minute I open up Adobe RAW I feel like I'm working. :) That being said, there are times when I take the Fuji on a job with me that I shoot raw so I have maximum flexibility in the edit. But for everyday use, I shoot jpg.
Yes, If the exp. comp dial is set to "C" then you have to push the front dial to make it change the ISO. If it is not (and ISO is set to auto) then the front dial changes ISO without the push.
Yeah that’s my point. What I don’t understand is why do you need to set a shortcut iso fn button when you can use the front dial to do the same job. Or am I missing something here?
Setup/Button Dial Setting/ISO Dial Setting (A) has to be set to "Command." If it is set to "Command" then the front dial will change ISO unless the Exp. Comp dial is set to "C." If that is the case, the dial changes Exp. Comp but if you push it, it changes ISO. If the Setup/Button Dial Setting/ISO dial Setting (A) is set to "Auto" then the front dial doesn't affect ISO.
Yes that’s correct. Maybe I didn’t make myself clear. Now when you rotate the front dial you can adjust your ISO settings. Also, note, that when you scroll all the way to past the highest ISO values, you will have the option to select from amongst your three AUTO ISO Options. Now this feature surely saves you from assigning a fn button just for that when you can use the front dial right?
Now I get it! Yes! Good point! However.... by mapping it to a back button you can also easily change the settings for the auto functions, which I sometimes do on the fly. With the front dial you can only change between the settings but not change the parameters. Still, that's a great point. If I decide I need another button, that's the one that I'll change. :)
@@BoorayPerry One thing that street photography is for sure, is that it is candid. It shows real life and unplanned, spontaneous moments. The premise is based on the art of observation. It is not photographs that are set up nor is it posed portraits. Street doesn't require people to be present in a photograph for it to have the spirit of a street photograph.
I'm not sure if you'll ever see this, but when I'm using my x100f in bright sunlight, my pictures always turn out really blown out and bright. What do I need to adjust to fix this?
Only Bright sunlight? My first guess would be that you are using an aperture that is too big and the shutter speed can't go high enough to compensate. Try shooting at f22. Or, turn on the ND filter
Try AV and set the aperture to something like f 5.6 at least. Experiment with f stops. Make sure ISO is lowest possible 100. PS the way a lens optically works the sharpest setting is usually twice the min fstop which would be f4. Different lenses are different though.
Actually I don't like too much customization. I like straightforward, like the original X100. This is the problem, Fujifilm are trying to tread the line between old-school and hi-tech. i.e. be all things to all people. In your case, you clearly prefer the modern, high-tech, convenient approach to photography. Others, like myself, prefer it to be old-school. I think Fujifilm may be wise to split the product down the middle now, and go all-in classic dials (no more thumbwheels etc.) on one model and make an alternative model which uses modern DSLR-style controls, with thumbwheels etc., for people like yourself, dispensing with the old-school dials.
I wish you would have shown how to set all of these settings...I really love them but I am not sure how to change the West, East, North, south buttons..everything else you showed pretty well..any tips?

How come you don't shoot raw + JPG so you get the benefits of both in-camera simulations and in-Lightroom adjustments including all of the in-camera simulations?
Great tips Booray, but you could add more value by showing how to set up the custom settings you talk about. The explanations , logic behind your settings is great but then, especially as a new user, I want to see where in the menu to find all these things.
I did not know that about their in cam chrome. I just assumed they were styling it after their own well known Fujichrome. Never care for FujiCh compared to KodaCh. Now i will have to go play with it. Thanks.
A helpful video except I'm fairly new to this camera and therefore need basic, step by step, guidance as to HOW one assigns functions to buttons, How, for example, does one physically assign neutral density to the fn button? I guess it's explained in the manual, but I find the manual confusing. Thank you.
As an aside, I have the XH1 in silver. I find that the top dials are more difficult to read. The black version is much easier to read with the white numbers on black dials.
That's an excellent tip. I debated a long time between the black and silver but eventually went with the silver purely for the old school look. I'm typically looking through the VF when I change settings anyway since I can't read the top numbers without reading glasses.
You don't mention the Q button. That seems to be a very convenient way to organize the options that you use the most. However, I have a problem using the back command dial to change a selected option. A small amount of pressure is required to gain traction to turn the dial, but I find there's too fine a line between pressure for traction and depressing the dial (which dismisses the menu). Do you have that issue?
I'm not a fan of the two dials on Fuji cameras. My Canon's are more tactile and easy to use. Not sure the "push" option is a good one for the reason you mentioned. :)
Ted - I didn't find that to be an issue on the X100F as on my new X-T3, which is more sensitive. One option is just to turn off the 'push' button feature on the rear dial (set to nothing)
I do have to disagree with the dials, its so easy to flick shutter speed without looking. you should know what shutter speed your set to and then you will know how many clicks to change, if you don't like that just change the back dial to change shutter speed.
Does the lack of a tilt screen on this model make life difficult? What I mean by that is could you view the screen at chest or waist level and eek out just enough detail for framing alone? The extra cost of the x100v is not very appealing.
Hey am new here! A ques i got for u is, if i don’t utilise the custom settings for the auto function and keep changing the iso shutter and aperture dials every-time would this affect the dials in the long run? Wondering on the robustness of this cam

Hi, been using your settings on my x100f. When in auto on iso and ss, I have the ex comp on C. However, when I turn front wheel I can change my exposure but when I press wheel it stays on exposure and not changing to iso, any ideas?
I am seriously thinking of buying the x100f and I am a back button focus guy. I am assuming I can use the AEL/AFL button to do so. IF, you personally were to use BBF, which button you would use.

Hi Perry...wondering if you can help. I set the 3 iso as you described but now if I shoot in auto 1 for exemple, my iso is stucked on 3200 and not moving between 200 and 3200, witch I think would the normal way to function... thanks in advance. L
What other light conditions where you're shooting? Remember that the camera has to get the correct exposure based off all three settings. So if you are indoors and you don't have a super wide aperture and a low shutter speed you are always going to be maxed out on your ISO.
@@BoorayPerry it's always on 3200 even when I shout outside with super bright condition when it should logically drop down to 200 or something... i don't know...i don't get it moving anymore...
Well that is extremely odd. But if you're shooting outside an extremely bright conditions and you're at F-22 with a shutter speed of 3,000 you are still going to have a high ISO. Go outside in daylight, set your aperture to f2, set your shutter speed to 1/60, shut your ISO to auto. See what you get

I have another question, on auto focus modes you can crop in by 50% and 70% by rotating the focus ring, is this also possible somehow in manual focus mode? Okay, so novice at best here... Why does the shutter speed seem to stick to such a slow speed when I try shooting late in the afternoon inside my house with the ND filter on? I was just Experimenting with your settings trying to take some pictures of my Yorkie and the shutter speed with the filter on were very long exposures.
The ND filter is for use in extremely bright situations. If you use it in a dark place it takes away so much light that the camera must have a slow shutter to compensate.

You can set it in the menu under the shooting settings. However, if you have your focus set to face detection you can't set the photometry. This will freak you out the first time you go to change it and it is grayed out. :)
In 10:09 you said something like when the exposure compensation dial is on C and shutterspeed and ISO are on A, then you can press in the dial at the front to change the ISO as well. I tried than and it did not really work, did I misunderstand?
It has to be set in the menu so that it will do that. I don't have my F anymore (upgraded to the V) so I don't recall where that setting is but I know I had my F set up that way.

I use Classic Chrome but unfortunately there is no equivalent to the real Kodachrome. Film died the day Kodachrome died and I don't think any simulation or preset exists to really emulate it. Momma took the Kodachrome away and it ain't coming back. I miss it.
You start by stating the D pad buttons are not customizable on previous iterations. This is false, as all 4 D pad buttons can be customized on the the X100t. I love the F but feel the relocated drive button was an area where the T format was better

Hmmm Digital Zoom on focus ring? I picked up a rental of X100F, set to factory defaults and I don't see a way to do this digital zoom. When focus mode is set to S the focus ring does nothing and the menu doesn't mention digital zoom. Is there something I am missing? The rest of this video works perfectly, I have mine setup as you suggest and eager to get out there and shoot.
In the menu system, scroll to the bottom (the wrench). Then Button/Dial Setting. Then Control Ring Setting. Set to "Standard." It's possible that there may be another variable that stops it from working because the buttons are so customizable that sometimes setting one button will affect another button.
Mine is similar but I have the X100T so buttons are different. Auto ISO FTW got mine exactly same as you. I have the AEL AFL button as a back focus but but only use it with manual focus which is great because you can press this and it auto focuses then stays set to that focus until you manual focus or press the button again.. 11:40 what are you talking about?? You can always shoot this camera at 1/4000th of a second. Also what would the wide open aperture have to do with the shutter speed anyway?? LOL. The two work totally independently of eachother on EVERY camera ever made.

BUT, this camera can shoot 1/4000th anytime, it just reverts to the electronic shutter. But yes, I agree, it's nice having that built in ND filter. I very much shoot this camera as if I'm shooting my film cameras.
9:50 huh? .... your thumb is literally on the exposure comp dial. You have to do zero reaching. The front dial is way to convenient to waste on exposure comp which is very easy to do without taking your eyes off the viewfinder or the screen. Your thumb almost naturally rests on it.
My thumb doesn't rest on that dial. It's at the very edge of the camera. I use a thumbgrip to hold the camera secure but even if I didn't my thumb wouldn't be all the way at the right edge of the camera.
@@BoorayPerry ya, but you could say the same thing about the front dial that you dedicate your exposure comp to: you also don't normally have your finger on that, it's on the shutter release button. I'm just saying, don't talk shit on it like you have to use two fingers and look away from the camera to rotate the exposure comp dial. It's really pretty simple with your thumb.

Booray Perry add the shutter type. I’ve got mine to switch between electronic and mechanical shutter. For times when you need to go stealth 😂👍🏻

If I may counter your use of JPEG alone, I shoot a Fuji XH1in RAW now. And when I process, I process color and then a duplicate in B&W. And to be honest, I do not find the "processing" tiresome. By the way, my new X100F arriving next week. Two Fujis.Oh, my.
Keep in mind that I shoot a lot professionally so with the Fuji I really don't want to go near my computer if I can avoid it. The minute I open up Adobe RAW I feel like I'm working. :) That being said, there are times when I take the Fuji on a job with me that I shoot raw so I have maximum flexibility in the edit. But for everyday use, I shoot jpg.
I do believe you can also use the front command dial to change iso settings provided the iso dial is on A.
Yes, If the exp. comp dial is set to "C" then you have to push the front dial to make it change the ISO. If it is not (and ISO is set to auto) then the front dial changes ISO without the push.
Yeah that’s my point. What I don’t understand is why do you need to set a shortcut iso fn button when you can use the front dial to do the same job. Or am I missing something here?
Setup/Button Dial Setting/ISO Dial Setting (A) has to be set to "Command." If it is set to "Command" then the front dial will change ISO unless the Exp. Comp dial is set to "C." If that is the case, the dial changes Exp. Comp but if you push it, it changes ISO.
If the Setup/Button Dial Setting/ISO dial Setting (A) is set to "Auto" then the front dial doesn't affect ISO.
Yes that’s correct. Maybe I didn’t make myself clear. Now when you rotate the front dial you can adjust your ISO settings. Also, note, that when you scroll all the way to past the highest ISO values, you will have the option to select from amongst your three AUTO ISO Options. Now this feature surely saves you from assigning a fn button just for that when you can use the front dial right?
Now I get it! Yes! Good point! However.... by mapping it to a back button you can also easily change the settings for the auto functions, which I sometimes do on the fly. With the front dial you can only change between the settings but not change the parameters. Still, that's a great point. If I decide I need another button, that's the one that I'll change. :)

@@BoorayPerry One thing that street photography is for sure, is that it is candid. It shows real life and unplanned, spontaneous moments. The premise is based on the art of observation. It is not photographs that are set up nor is it posed portraits. Street doesn't require people to be present in a photograph for it to have the spirit of a street photograph.
I'm not sure if you'll ever see this, but when I'm using my x100f in bright sunlight, my pictures always turn out really blown out and bright. What do I need to adjust to fix this?
Only Bright sunlight? My first guess would be that you are using an aperture that is too big and the shutter speed can't go high enough to compensate. Try shooting at f22. Or, turn on the ND filter
Try AV and set the aperture to something like f 5.6 at least. Experiment with f stops. Make sure ISO is lowest possible 100.
PS the way a lens optically works the sharpest setting is usually twice the min fstop which would be f4. Different lenses are different though.
Actually I don't like too much customization. I like straightforward, like the original X100. This is the problem, Fujifilm are trying to tread the line between old-school and hi-tech. i.e. be all things to all people. In your case, you clearly prefer the modern, high-tech, convenient approach to photography. Others, like myself, prefer it to be old-school. I think Fujifilm may be wise to split the product down the middle now, and go all-in classic dials (no more thumbwheels etc.) on one model and make an alternative model which uses modern DSLR-style controls, with thumbwheels etc., for people like yourself, dispensing with the old-school dials.
I wish you would have shown how to set all of these settings...I really love them but I am not sure how to change the West, East, North, south buttons..everything else you showed pretty well..any tips?

Excellent points! What about the image settings in camera, like Highlights, Shadows, NR, sharpness, color etc.
I don't mess with those settings. I can do all that in post but if you do it in cameras, there's no going back
How come you don't shoot raw + JPG so you get the benefits of both in-camera simulations and in-Lightroom adjustments including all of the in-camera simulations?
Great tips Booray, but you could add more value by showing how to set up the custom settings you talk about. The explanations , logic behind your settings is great but then, especially as a new user, I want to see where in the menu to find all these things.

I did not know that about their in cam chrome. I just assumed they were styling it after their own well known Fujichrome. Never care for FujiCh compared to KodaCh. Now i will have to go play with it. Thanks.

A helpful video except I'm fairly new to this camera and therefore need basic, step by step, guidance as to HOW one assigns functions to buttons, How, for example, does one physically assign neutral density to the fn button? I guess it's explained in the manual, but I find the manual confusing. Thank you.
any other buttons can be assigned just by giving them a long press. The ones that can't be assigned to that way go to the wrench on the menu settings.

As an aside, I have the XH1 in silver. I find that the top dials are more difficult to read. The black version is much easier to read with the white numbers on black dials.
That's an excellent tip. I debated a long time between the black and silver but eventually went with the silver purely for the old school look. I'm typically looking through the VF when I change settings anyway since I can't read the top numbers without reading glasses.

I just got my first fuji, the long debate was resolved in favor of the black on basis of readability... Glad I did so although I love the silver too.
You don't mention the Q button. That seems to be a very convenient way to organize the options that you use the most. However, I have a problem using the back command dial to change a selected option. A small amount of pressure is required to gain traction to turn the dial, but I find there's too fine a line between pressure for traction and depressing the dial (which dismisses the menu). Do you have that issue?
I'm not a fan of the two dials on Fuji cameras. My Canon's are more tactile and easy to use. Not sure the "push" option is a good one for the reason you mentioned. :)
Ted - I didn't find that to be an issue on the X100F as on my new X-T3, which is more sensitive. One option is just to turn off the 'push' button feature on the rear dial (set to nothing)
I do have to disagree with the dials, its so easy to flick shutter speed without looking. you should know what shutter speed your set to and then you will know how many clicks to change, if you don't like that just change the back dial to change shutter speed.
Does the lack of a tilt screen on this model make life difficult? What I mean by that is could you view the screen at chest or waist level and eek out just enough detail for framing alone? The extra cost of the x100v is not very appealing.
It does make a difference to be sure but if price is a factor the X100F is a fine purchase.
Hey am new here! A ques i got for u is, if i don’t utilise the custom settings for the auto function and keep changing the iso shutter and aperture dials every-time would this affect the dials in the long run? Wondering on the robustness of this cam
I've never put the camera through any sort of a stress test but I have never heard anyone say that any of the knobs on their camera have broken

Hi, been using your settings on my x100f. When in auto on iso and ss, I have the ex comp on C. However, when I turn front wheel I can change my exposure but when I press wheel it stays on exposure and not changing to iso, any ideas?
The ISO has to be on C also. :)

Hi Perry...wondering if you can help. I set the 3 iso as you described but now if I shoot in auto 1 for exemple, my iso is stucked on 3200 and not moving between 200 and 3200, witch I think would the normal way to function... thanks in advance. L
What other light conditions where you're shooting? Remember that the camera has to get the correct exposure based off all three settings. So if you are indoors and you don't have a super wide aperture and a low shutter speed you are always going to be maxed out on your ISO.
@@BoorayPerry it's always on 3200 even when I shout outside with super bright condition when it should logically drop down to 200 or something... i don't know...i don't get it moving anymore...
Well that is extremely odd. But if you're shooting outside an extremely bright conditions and you're at F-22 with a shutter speed of 3,000 you are still going to have a high ISO.
Go outside in daylight, set your aperture to f2, set your shutter speed to 1/60, shut your ISO to auto. See what you get

I have mine set so that turning the manual focus ring after a half button press engaged focus peaking. But I think it only works with manual

I have another question, on auto focus modes you can crop in by 50% and 70% by rotating the focus ring, is this also possible somehow in manual focus mode? I cannot seem to get an answer anywhere in the manual or online, thanks 👍

Okay, so novice at best here...
Why does the shutter speed seem to stick to such a slow speed when I try shooting late in the afternoon inside my house with the ND filter on? I was just Experimenting with your settings trying to take some pictures of my Yorkie and the shutter speed with the filter on were very long exposures.
The ND filter is for use in extremely bright situations. If you use it in a dark place it takes away so much light that the camera must have a slow shutter to compensate.

Did I miss it.... I've been mainling your fab posts... Where do you assign the metering photometry if not on the Fn button?
You can set it in the menu under the shooting settings. However, if you have your focus set to face detection you can't set the photometry. This will freak you out the first time you go to change it and it is grayed out. :)
Hmmm. My X100F top SS dial goes to 4000. Did you get an older model? Picked up some good gems from your video though.
It goes to 4000 but the flash sync only works to 2000. Although I shot it at 4000 and it came out, Fuji claims it only goes to 2000
In 10:09 you said something like when the exposure compensation dial is on C and shutterspeed and ISO are on A, then you can press in the dial at the front to change the ISO as well. I tried than and it did not really work, did I misunderstand?
It has to be set in the menu so that it will do that. I don't have my F anymore (upgraded to the V) so I don't recall where that setting is but I know I had my F set up that way.

I use Classic Chrome but unfortunately there is no equivalent to the real Kodachrome. Film died the day Kodachrome died and I don't think any simulation or preset exists to really emulate it. Momma took the Kodachrome away and it ain't coming back. I miss it.
Actually Fuji’s Classic Chrome isn’t trying to replicate Kodachrome, it’s trying to replicate Ektachrome.

You start by stating the D pad buttons are not customizable on previous iterations. This is false, as all 4 D pad buttons can be customized on the the X100t. I love the F but feel the relocated drive button was an area where the T format was better
On the S you could not map the drive button. I never owned the T

Hmmm Digital Zoom on focus ring? I picked up a rental of X100F, set to factory defaults and I don't see a way to do this digital zoom. When focus mode is set to S the focus ring does nothing and the menu doesn't mention digital zoom. Is there something I am missing? The rest of this video works perfectly, I have mine setup as you suggest and eager to get out there and shoot.
In the menu system, scroll to the bottom (the wrench). Then Button/Dial Setting. Then Control Ring Setting. Set to "Standard." It's possible that there may be another variable that stops it from working because the buttons are so customizable that sometimes setting one button will affect another button.
@@BoorayPerry I actually figured it out just now. You need to be in JPG only mode, I was in RAW+F. Once I was in JPG it works just how you describe.

Mine is similar but I have the X100T so buttons are different. Auto ISO FTW got mine exactly same as you. I have the AEL AFL button as a back focus but but only use it with manual focus which is great because you can press this and it auto focuses then stays set to that focus until you manual focus or press the button again.. BUT, this camera can shoot 1/4000th anytime, it just reverts to the electronic shutter. But yes, I agree, it's nice having that built in ND filter. I very much shoot this camera as if I'm shooting my film cameras.
9:50 huh? .... your thumb is literally on the exposure comp dial. You have to do zero reaching. The front dial is way to convenient to waste on exposure comp which is very easy to do without taking your eyes off the viewfinder or the screen. Your thumb almost naturally rests on it.
My thumb doesn't rest on that dial. It's at the very edge of the camera. I use a thumbgrip to hold the camera secure but even if I didn't my thumb wouldn't be all the way at the right edge of the camera.
@@BoorayPerry ya, but you could say the same thing about the front dial that you dedicate your exposure comp to: you also don't normally have your finger on that, it's on the shutter release button. I'm just saying, don't talk shit on it like you have to use two fingers and look away from the camera to rotate the exposure comp dial. It's really pretty simple with your thumb.
