+Blake Wilson in the US all we had was the sc430 (v8 - cool!) only available in auto Trans, and the sc300 (manual gearbox - cool!) but with a seriously underpowered, n/a 1jz. So basically both models had mad potential but were just done completely wrong bc when Japanese cars came to the US in the 90s they were never as cool as the original version. Sad stuff, sir. Sad stuff.

My favorite part of MCM has always been their choice of cars to modify. They stick to models anybody could learn from and work on themselves.

This one may not be bad, or even bad enough. This doesn't change the fact that it is bent, which is all that was originally said.

Facebook has killed a lot of forums in recent years.

The sad thing is forums work way better for technical advice, you can easily search stuff and browse through categories. Social media is all see once and forget, have fun searching an answer made a couple years ago in a facebook comment.

The welding will spread any loads more efficiently than bolts do on their own. It's not a different style, it's just doing more work. ;¬)

That makes sense. For competition racers who have ruined a cars shell appreciate being able to bolt and unbolt the cage into a new car though.

Can grind out and re-weld a cage. Plus if the car is proper fucked the cage is likely bad too

I don't have experience with this, but I'm guessing that a bolted in cage is less likely to be damaged since bolts may break or shift a bit rather than deform with the car.
They did say most of the time when the car gets messed up these cages are still good.
Depends on the amount of bolts and strength of them I guess. Welding seams can crack over time too after moving around in a car for a few years, bolts only get tighter at that point.

Not sure about structured and rehearsed, just seems like they have lost that hunger, starting out creates, which is sometimes lost by success.
They did Super gramps, though I don't know who names a car after a guy, especially an older guy, (first love?), but an awesome car.
Then the bug, and the mini, and then they just seemed to jump the shark, so to speak with their 2sexy vs wasabi nonsense.
It just seemed to be a very passive aggressive way to go after guys who don't have a team of guys like Turbo Yoda et al, behind them, and a budget to match.
Moog especially. Very elitist/snobby attitude about it.
I'm just getting kind of tired of the homoerotic "I want to touch his bum and talk about balls all the time' silliness.

I know, not everybody is as naturally entertaining on camera as Marty and Moog (hmmmmm, electric space wizard). And I guess it is good that rollcage-guys are real professionals when it comes to their jobs - I don't want my rollcage to turn into a sandwich-roll when I need it. But the seriousness of the rollcage-guys, the contrast to Marty and Moog, I was a bit unprepared for that… I don't know, will this fit in my Mercedes?

Roll cage guy said the bolts are high-tensile, only place in the car that tensile matters is the floor bolts, all the cage bolts are stressed in a shear direction, not tension.

Hey Marty, I'm really hoping you give 2SEXY a Posi / LSD differential upgrade and a MCM FIRST... Cam upgrade! (I know you guys are probably scared to death of Cam upgrade ) Please do a Cam Upgrade! I think it will blow peoples mind the difference an Aftermarket Performance Cam Vs a Stock Cam can make! Since it doesn't have to meet Registration standards, there are no negatives.

One quick question (I know you guys have a international target market) but would you ever consider doing a video on Australian Cams licensing processes, licensing in general and more detailed track day legality and such.
Maybe a bit on track day insurance coverage eh (Shannons 4 da winz).
I know it's limiting your viewership and that it might piss of your international fans but I would benifit from it for sure.
But the main thing is that the younger guys would then have a clearer picture of the goals they are setting themselves and might even cause some growth within the industry which is always awesome. (Not that it's lacking at all, but new faces are always good!)
