It is illegal in the USA for Professors and Teachers to obstruct students' careers based on racial preference and discrimination.
Hate speech, like call for genocide, is prohibited.
Nobody is suggesting any action based on who they are, but rather what they do. Careers are adversely affected by conduct all the time.
It is immoral and unethical for professors to promote and instil bias, such as racism in their students. The legalities are evolving as new problems have erupted. A new law was passed to prohibit hate clubs on campus, and other regulations will be enforced for the protection of all students.

I don't think educational institutions can expel or even punish students for their speech, unless it goes against a specific policy or rule set by the institution. Expulsion is more often warranted in cases of gross academic dishonesty, bullying, harassment, or vandalism or destruction of property. Alternatively, criminal charges for hate speech or something similar may be considered, in which case it's not an issue for the university but rather the justice system. Law students and graduates will not be able to be admitted to the bar (or enter any regulated profession) with a criminal record.
Law students would love to get expelled its like a test case . Seriously dumb idea go ahead.

I used to go to York University decades ago. Students weren't allowed to say the word "apartheid" on campus in the context of Israel. I didnt think there would come a time when even news outlets would be using the term. Free Palestine.
