- Israel’s President has penned a stern letter to American Universities, calling on campus presidents to take action on antisemitism.
Isaac Herzog wrote: “Never, as someone who has always looked up to the standards of the American university, could I have foreseen the images and voices that have reached me since the tragedy of October 7".
“How can anyone endorsing, excusing, or glorifying the Hamas atrocities have a place in any college, or in the civilized world?" the President asked.
Israel’s President has spend time meeting with grieving families and relatives of hostages following the October 7 attack by Hamas.
He called on each institution to develop a plan to combat antisemitism for the campus and wider community.
Many of them speak their hate when they cover their faces to hide their identity! Gutless!

US citizens have a right to protest peacefully, but not people on resident or student visas. They do not have the right to petition our government period.

I agree it’s the education at Universities same happening in Australia, it’s disgusting. What’s happening, what some of the Teachers are teaching or not Teaching, they need higher quality Teachers. Students who are giving the Jewish students a hard time,then those students need to be expelled from Universities, no appeals, expelled straight away. The protesting rallies, that you hear protesters saying all of these evil saying about what they want happen to Jewish people, then if they have dual Citizenship or are not Australian Citizens then they should be deported straight away, no appeals allowed. Governments have to get tougher and stronger, stop this happening. It’s proving Multi Cultural doesn’t work with some countries.
And by the protesting rallies many are proving this. We haven’t seen the protesting rallies by the Israel people out of control, voicing evil against Palestinian people at all. Jewish people want peace, how they have been treated is appalling and horrifying over many years.

A lot of these prestigious universities attract students (and charge them extortionate tuition fees) on reputation alone. They're old and famous so people assume that they'll get the best educations there and end up more skilled than going anywhere else. Clearly some students are coming out more deluded than they went in these days. The illusion is becoming more and more apparent.

As a father of a 9 year old girl, I shake with anger when I think of what poor Emily and her father are going through. To see these students, who don't have any understanding of what this is all about, not only disgusts me it makes me furious. Too many of these University students both US & Australian protest for the sake of protesting with their cause being imprudent, dubious & not thought through.

Their lie-ins and disruptions are part of what demonstrations and free speech are all about. If there have been actual incidents of Jewish students being harassed or swastikas painted on doors, then let's hear about the specifics of who it happened to, how frequent that is, and what's been done to address it. Those would be genuine problem behaviors requiring discipline at the university. If the issue is that the protesters are disrupting classes, okay, then address that. But to simply claim that there are "ugly incidents" and then show only images of demonstrations....to simply ASSERT that the protesters "support and encourage terrorist acts" is just an assertion and apparently a total projection, since that's not what's being shown. If there is proof that the bulk of the protesters are hatefully targeting minority groups, why isn't that proof being shown? Herzog said it's allowable to criticize Israel and it's actions, yet they act all offended that they're saying that Israel is committing genocide on the Palestinians? That counts as a criticism of an action, it also counts as free speech. This is new to me. When I was in university in the 70's, the Iranians captured US citizens and held them hostage for over 400 days. Some of the Iranian students thought it was a good idea to celebrate that event until the engineering students taught them otherwise. I doubt these students fully understand the whole story and what they're really for. It is not a good thing on many levels.

I would like to apologize to Israel as an American for the behavior of many of my fellow citizens who are clearly brainwashed by the urge to protest for anything that leftist ideology wants to gravitate towards. They (most of the muslims anyways) pick the side of whoever is muslim without looking at the actual moral issue at hand of what went down to condemn which is many of the Israelis being killed and others being taken as hostages held by the Hamas terrorists in Gaza. I wish this country would use more surveillance to identify and deport any radical muslims or any other radicals that are not U.S. citizens out of this country that explicitly wish harm upon America and/or our allies and pose a risk in actually harming others.

He remembers what actually has happened through the years and there is endless propaganda these days against Israel that news and people just take as fact. But, the focus they seem to have on only Israel specifically and the blatant double standards they have does honestly seem anti-Jewish. I know two Jewish people in New York that have never even been to Israel who have been made to explain their opinions on the conflict to their peers because they know they're Jewish and they feel as though people are trying to access whether they're a "good Jew" or a "bad Jew."
