Sick rides! Super helpful for me as I'm learning to prone and often using that same board. I've really been struggling keeping the foil down even with the mast all the way back in the tracks. I've been standing on the board as it balances floating in flat water and that has my front foot right behind the seam between forward and middle traction pads. That's where I stand winging and (attempting) SUP on it. If I'm forward of there it seems like I'm pearling. BUT! I notice you have your mast fairly far forward, and your front foot all the way on the forward pad, or at least on the seam. I'm thinking your mast position allows you to paddle laying farther forward on the board without pearling, it seems like you are way up there while prone and have no problem getting your front foot that far forward. I'm definitely going to give it a try next session, move my mast forward a bit and see if I can takeoff from a more forward position and get my feet farther up the board. Thanks for the inspiration!

Super inspiring video. Long time endurance sup guy now wanting to get a foil set up. This looks incredible. I take it you could do this sup as well ? I’m debating dragonfly Vs starboard foil ace. Cheers

I don’t personally have good SUP skills. If your primary is SUP foil surf and not down wind you’re probably better off getting a SUP foil board. They’re wider and easier to stand around on. Lots of good used options out there as everyone is going to downwind. Long and skinny.

since you are the only foiler "I know" who tested the afs 850 and 1050 - I want to go to afs silk, but can only afford one- My conditions are rather much smaller, small lake chop, wind from 10-25, usually 15-20, when its good. Use kujira 1210 and 980 and want to upgrade... Want more speed, good glide, as everyone...Do you think I could go for the 850? Thanks

I would go 1050. Glide is much better than 850. It is still super surfy and speed is really good. It is an amazing foil. For winds swell it works great for connecting bumps and milking any swell energy.

They’re Waterproof G1 gloves. They’re the best gloves I have used for winging. These are the 7mm, I usually use the 5mm or 3mm for winging.

From your experience the sizes are small , normal or big compare to other neoprene gloves like Mystic or other brands.I am looking 5mm gloves. Thanks again

I’m medium in both Mystic and Waterproof gloves

How much harder to pump that dw board vs a prone board

It pumps surprisingly well. The KT is super light.

@@foilthegreatsGreat vid🔥Love that you cross disciplines from winging to prone to DW. Hoping to progress in that direction.
Seems like you've had the KT Dfly for several months now. How have you found its durability? I'm looking at the KT along with some others. I know some have complained about durability with the KT Dfly, while doesn't seem to be a problem for all. Thoughts appreciated. Again, love your vids!

Durability has been good on mine. Paint has had some micro bubbles. All around happy with this board and would buy again.
