Son you are epic badass. There's no way I'd get in that water with snow on the ground! lol. I once was insane about a sport as much as this in my youth when I had just swapped to a bigger 44 mikuni carb on my 650sx standup jetski and I couldn't wait for spring to test it. SO, in Feb on a frigid morning of about 40f I put on my shorty and launched making sure to stay as dry as possible (on a standup)....hard to do. I only made a few quick runs and I was back on the trailer lol. But you cats are Legends. Stay safe man, don't freeze to death.
Amazing, just started wake foiling last year but you have now triggered a pursuit of Wing Foiling in me. Any chance we can chat about transitioning to this?
Best way is to look for a local shop who can recommend gear and or lessons. Worth taking lessons as you can progress out of the beginner gear quick and save money.
Just noticed you have the latest tech on whale fin barnacle tubercles on the leading edge of that wing. Did you buy that like that or did you do your own design? Where to get?
how you manage this cold ? what kind of wetsuit do you have glove and boots ? how do you change yourself withouth freezing to death ? im pretty sure a tutorial about that only filming would be interesting.
With the right gear you can handle the coldest temperatures. I am wearing Patagonia R5 Wetsuit and gloves. Booties are 8mm Solites. I put on the wetsuit at home and take it off in the shower. I wear a dry robe over it to keep warm and my car dry.
@@Jadan888 That is West Point. maps.app.goo.gl/ZGkQHVVyU7wWR5Ys9 He is pretty good. From where he started it is about 800 meters to the beach. Given how easily he was getting up I would recommend driving all the way out to the end of the point. That would be a 2 mile ride.
How much do you weigh, i’m 85kg and i love wingfoiling in winter when the lake is freezing, i’m looking for a similar foil and am considering 950 or 850
Which one do you like better and use more? 1050 or 850? I want to buy one of them and then upgrade my quiver of i like them. I only wingfoil on a lake.
Dedication!
Amazing!

Very inspiring!
Way to get it! Looks like a long cold walk back though
Amazing especially with no Wing

@@foilthegreatsthanks! I’m in PTBO so kind of close to you I think. Happy to purchase any used gear to get started as well. Thanks!
Holy cow, I was almost looking for a wetsuit just to be able to watch you in that cold water.

It’s an AFS Silk 850

Comment fait le mec pour ne pas crever de froid?! C'est surtout ça qui est impressionnant effectivement (le mec a un bon niveau je trouve)

What part of Lake Ontario is this?

AFS foil looks just like Takuma Kujira..I ride Kujira Non-HD 1440 & 1250…is it Appletree 4’9” 60 L?
Same designer but an evolution. Board is 4’7” 40L
Great edit! What length Mast? What Dryland Exercises do you do to be fit/flexible enough to get your Pop Up dialed?
80cm UHM. I just foil every chance I get. I don’t do anything special.

I’m 86kg. The AFS Silk 850 is great in waves over thigh high. Anything smaller and I’m on the 1050.

I pick my foil based on wave size. Under waist high I’m usually on the 1050.
what foil is this? is it expensive?
AFS Silk 850
geeze, $4k in canuckistanny shekels... @@foilthegreats
