Turn 1 in Baku is a great example of what tarmac runoffs SHOULD be. A nice big flat area so cars have somewhere safe to go when they run off, but it's still a big time/position punishment when you screw up.
@@PlatapusPhucker Except gravel might need marshals to recover the car, or put gravel on the circuit, both of which interrupt the racing. Tarmac allows a cleaner, faster resumption of normal conditions.
Holy shit that second clip could've been more nasty than the Tuscan GP 2020... Really good job from the drivers for keeping it mostly clean right there
Latifi was fairly competitive in the junior series. I think he finished 2nd or 3rd in the Formula 2 championship before going to F1. Say what you want about his F1 career, at one point, he had more career points than Russell... it didn't last long, but just saying. Plus, he was also kinda peer-pressured to get to Formula 1 from a guy who spotted him at a local karting track lol.
@@itsfridaythenitssaturdaysu1832 It took Mansell 12 years to win a title, so what? In my book, time doesn't matter, as long as there has been improvement, and there was. Now, as for his F1 career so far, it seems there was a little false hope for Latifi from last season because now he's not performing even okay.
@@lorddrac_dontaskmetodance you're literally comparting F1 to junior categories... it would've been strange if he didn't improve his results after becoming one of the most experienced drivers in the field with a really mid line-up that season.
The only time Latifi beat a teammate in junior formula is in 2019 when he beat Camara who also has a mediocre junior career I promise you there are a lot of drivers who would do a better job in that Williams seat than Latifi
We got gonna mention those GP2-style cars are lit? They really did look like a miniature F1 car if you ask me. Got into GP2 and other feeder series thanks to Johnny Cecotto, Jr. If Mazepin had pace, he'd be Cecotto. Lol

"Nicholas Latifi holds on to second place" - that's something I never thought I'd hear, only because I'm familiar with his F1 results only.

Well yeah, but he finished second in F2 after four full years driving there. Looking at his Feeder series results, they were really mediocre
