Seb had to stand in as his own engineer at times, so he just had to be more specific about what has happened to the guy on the other end of the radio.

Honestly, without this,the race would have been a really boring one. It was fun and exciting to watch all these overtakes. Amazing recovery!

I love how this is now considered "boring" when just a season ago, this would have been average. A few events here and there, the leader blasting away at the front, some sprinkles of weather threats that never come and one of the top 4 going on a counter strategy.

@@magnus1708 gasly ruined his own race. funny how not too many people notice how alonso's actions affected gasly which made gasly move unpredictably into leclerc who was just coming straight back onto the track after being forced into the runoff because gasly dodged alonso and bumped right into leclerc
I get hes disappointed and he's critical but mate that was fun AF, those overtakes were a thing of beauty! enjoy the work and the process 💪

Actually, if you look at the overhead angle with both cars you’ll find that both Gasly and Charles moved resulting in the touch. It’s not a mistake that any one driver can own.

He really was the driver of the day imo. To start at p7, have to box for front wing damage at lap 2, fall to p18, then still finish p7 is crazy. I really hope I see Charles podium more frequently down the road, idk what more he needs but he is an insane talent.
He has to box because of his own fault though. He started P7, lost his position because of his own fault, then finishes P7.

Leclerc could probably be world champion fairly easily by a) moving to a proper F1 team and b) keeping his cool in qualifying. He's got the passion and the talent already.

If Mazepin do the same movement that Leclerc did in 1st lap with Gasly most of the people would claim a sanction for him, but because it was Leclerc nobody complains about it.

Before that straight puncture Gasly moved to LEFT and dragged out Charles car out the track and the commentator think it is OKAY because fight for position, and after that Leclerc rejoin the track and go straight while Gasly move slightly to LEFT again and the puncture happened. He is retired. If you are in that position and Gasly in RIGHT side row with Lewis, Perez and Alonso, you will driving your kart OUT from track to make Gasly fans HAPPY?
Don't be deluded. Kimi with broken front wing can't overtake Vettel. But he did so. So may be very very light.

Did Charles have the same engineer back in 2021 as he does now? Cuz in this race the guy seems more sharp, focused, alert, quick and clear in communication as well as actually listening to Leclerc and responded on time with elaborated instructions. What has happened since?
Mental that some people don’t consider this guy a future world champ. Yes he needs to iron out the mistakes but his pace in the right car is frightening.
Is that people take results without context, for most of the new fans Norris has become the goat of F1 (not hating on the guy, he's a great driver, but just showing how people can analyze races and results) and Hamilton has become a joke of a driver. But I guess that's just how it goes with the sports

Ferrari possibly carrying more wing compared last few races. This race qualifying position is lower but tyre lasted long in races pace. If Ferrari had 10-15 hp more power along with narrower front nose then their both drivers would have racing for wins this season.
He has really done an excellent Job, exciting to watch cause when he started to go past them, it got harder and harder guy by guy. Nice drive!
I love the fact that the engineer always motivates him after every overtake.
If he would be more composed in the first lap of the race he would be the best driver on the grid. Already the best in Quali but he is a bit too aggressive in the opening stages of the race
It's amazing how Leclerc avoiding penalties for his crashes on 1 lap. Year ago with Seb, in Sochi he crashed into Stroll, in Sakhir GP he touched Perez and now he destroyed Gasly's race.
In Sakhir he has a 3grid penalty for the next race honey

Cannot call that excellent. He took his own wing off, Kimi's end plate off and Gasly out. There is nothing excellent about it. Sainz was my driver of the day. He did not put foot wrong and made up 6 or 7 places.

I think the accident with Pierre wasn’t anybody’s fault. Charles was trying to get the tow, Pierre was covering him off.

Not by a long shot , not only are max and George quicker they make fewer mistakes. He’s probably a little bit faster than lando if they all had equal machinery but max and George clearly have more raw talent
