Nah, I still like clean racing, both should be more respectful to each other. You see, the moment these two had collided in Austria or in Silverstone, the whole overtake/attempt suddenly feels dirty, feels illegitimate, both drivers will argue, the whole internet will argue, FIA will be forced to make a decision, and the whole internet will go against the decision. At some point, he had to learn to get the elbows out, and my god did he get those elbows out at Silverstone. Lets hope Russel will get a seat somewhere better next year or that Williams will step up their game.

Important comments from Leclerc after the race, saying it was the most fun he ever had in a race car and the stewards in Austria made him that aggressive as it was labeled okay over there. So he was not afraid to race hard. Which is exactly as it should be. Hopefully this theme will continue, hard racing. The drivers have the possibility to make this the norm again and stop the soft bullshit, and this race along with Austria was great steps in the right direction. Both in terms of racing But just as important, the drivers comments afterwards, no one complaining or being a bitch, but on the contrary, supportive. Excellent!

He was way over the line on multiple occasions in my opinion: moving late, that time when they touched there was absolutely no way that LeClerc was going to make that corner (and he didn't), etc., etc. I thought Max was incredibly restrained not to complain more. Great race and great spectacle, but I think Max will not let himself get banged around by LeClerc a 2nd time. He will work really hard to avoid this BS going forward. Fair racing is ok. Hard racing is OK. Having a maniac (LeClerc) drive with too much emotion for his own good is not OK.

He didn't think such violent fighting was legal but in Austria, the stewards ruled that it is. So he is within his right to shove Max around the track, bump and drive him off if they said that this is allowed.

This battle had me cheering and clapping in front of my TV as I haven't done it for a long time watching an F1 race. I'm hoping they (F1, FIA, their teams, whoever it may concern) let them keep racing like this, on the limit.

They didn't interfere because their moves were legal or at the very least justifiable. They made it very clear, their decisions are not based on whether you like it or not. Heck, if they cared they would have given Vettel back position 1, which they didn't.

These two battling is one thing, but shout out to Honda, who would have guessed at the start of the season the Red Bull package would be so competitive on a power circuit like Austria and sliverstone. Red bull were matching and beating the most power engine on the current grid. Bring on spa!

I am genuinely impressed with the traction and straight-line speed of the RedBull-Honda. Right after 1st pitstop and error of the Max out of turn 4 2:01 , Max drove side by side with the Ferrari+DRS. Amazing!

Still watching this video 2 years later. Leclerc respects but for sure does not fear Max like some other drivers do. I just hope both drivers (as well as Russell and Norris) have competitive cars to race like that week in week out.
After the Imola sprint race, there is no doubt that the best fights come from these 2. No political fight like between Max and Lewis, but fair and hard racing between Max and Leclerc. I hope Red Bull can fix there problems because this one will be more thrilling than 2021.
Hopefully Red Bull and Ferrari can produce a championship winning cars. If both of them not fighting for a championship in a nesr future, I would be a waste..

saying it was the most fun he ever had in a race car and the stewards in Austria made him that aggressive as it was labeled okay over there. So he was not afraid to race hard. Which is exactly as it should be. Hopefully this theme will continue, hard racing.

I thought Max was incredibly restrained not to complain more. Great race and great spectacle, but I think Max will not let himself get banged around by LeClerc a 2nd time. He will work really hard to avoid this BS going forward. Fair racing is ok. Hard racing is OK. Having a maniac (LeClerc) drive with too much emotion for his own good is not OK.

@@JimmyGSB Leclerc is logically consistent. He does his job, within the legal limits, and relies on stewards doing theirs setting those limits. He didn't think such violent fighting was legal but in Austria, the stewards ruled that it is. So he is within his right to shove Max around the track, bump and drive him off if they said that this is allowed.

Good point, wonder if the FIA did feel they went too far there, VER/LEC had like 3 or 4 separate incidents where one shoves the other off the track, no penalty like Max's last year at Japan
They didn't interfere because their moves were legal or at the very least justifiable. They made it very clear, their decisions are not based on whether you like it or not. Heck, if they cared they would have given Vettel back position 1, which they didn't.

After the Imola sprint race, there is no doubt that the best fights come from these 2. No political fight like between Max and Lewis, but fair and hard racing between Max and Leclerc. I hope Red Bull can fix there problems because this one will be more thrilling than 2021.
