I was wondering this too, so i decided to look it up... It turns our San Francisco actually used horse drawn street cars before Lisbon did. San Francisco also seemed to have switched to electric street cars about 30 years before they appeared in Lisbon. So given the context i think it's fair to say that, historically, Lisbon has a San Francisco vibe when it comes to street cars

I went to portugal when i was 14 (2 years ago) and it was one of the most fun experiences of my life. The culture is very historic, and the food there is absolutely the best. I lost 10 pounds there due to the food being such high quality. This helped me cut weight for my weightlifting state tournament!
I have a fourteen year old that I would like to take there next summer. Could you please tell me if there was something in particular you enjoyed (besides the food)?
Great video! Just one correction: the Igreja de São Domingos in the Baixa of Lisbon is NOT in its ruined state because of the 1755 Earthquake, that is blatantly false. The church is in fact one of many throughout the city that was completely rebuilt. The current structure (both the intact outside and the preserved, ruined interior) are constructions from after the earthquake (1807). The destroyed interior originates in a fire in 1959. It is a common lie that bad tour guides in Lisbon make in claiming that the church is a remnant of the earthquake, when it literally has nothing to do with it.
I think the Tartessians, Lusitanians, and Celts were in the region long before the Romans, then came the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, and the Romans. Romans were last bro.
The first are the iberians, and them came the celtas, and etc. The mouros were the last, the first king of Portugal Don Afonso Henriques, cristian, conquest, the territory, of Portugal.
@@irinanatachabviola Wrong, D. Afonso lll won nothing, made an agreement with the Vizier of the kingdom of the Algarve that came under the protection of the kingdom of Portugal and the Portuguese kings started to use "king of Portugal of the Algarve of Aquém and Além Mar" .

I have had no greater experience of travel to any European city than Lisbon.
After 15 days of wondering and being amazed at every turn Lisbon is my ultimate fantasy for my golden years.
It has everything.
So cosmopolitan and captivating.
Stunning views and vistas at every point.
It is indeed singular, like none other.

Lisbon, Portugal is fantastic
I went to portugal when i was 14 (2 years ago) and it was one of the most fun experiences of my life. The culture is very historic, and the food there is absolutely the best. I lost 10 pounds there due to the food being such high quality. This helped me cut weight for my weightlifting state tournament!
I have a fourteen year old that I would like to take there next summer. Could you please tell me if there was something in particular you enjoyed (besides the food)?
Lisbon makes me smile.
Excellent overview of Lisbon!
Muito bom!
portugal descobriu o mundo há 500 anos e agora é que o mundo está a descobrir portugal

Lisbon is one of the beautiful cities of Europe.
best European video, i like it
Great video!
You can explain it in a more friendly way. Do not be so offended.
You are right! I spent a lot of time hanging around the church and hearing tour guides tell different stories. A beautiful and calm place to sit in :)
Completely irrelevant. No reason at all for such a bad-tempered comment.
We were recently in Lisbon. So fun to see many places we visited!
Looks a very beautiful city
Love from🇵🇰🇵🇰
I think the Tartessians, Lusitanians, and Celts were in the region long before the Romans, then came the Phoenicians, Carthaginians, and the Romans. Romans were last bro.
The first are the iberians, and them came the celtas, and etc.
The mouros were the last, the first king of Portugal Don Afonso Henriques, cristian, conquest, the territory, of Portugal.
The last ones to settle there were Germanic tribes. The Visigoths.
@@pedesromanus657 no, the last were the last were the Moors.
Greeks were the first in the Iberian peninsula.
Maravilhoso! Espetacular. Great! Spectacular!

The Vas code Gama, he was in Fort Kochi (India) in his last days. He was buried in fort Kochi, it's called Vas cod Gama square. Later his grave was moved to Portugal.
Obrigado Rick! Contrary to some "Velhos do Restelo" I still believe in Portugal, my country! Enough is to stop the traitors who are selling and destroying our wonderful nation!
